  1. Was wondering if there are any Richard Burns Rally fans out there? Its an old game now, it came out back in 2004 but still remains one of the most authentic rally simulators around. The RBR2013 expansions adds quite a few old cars including the Group B rally cars (Audi Quattro S1).
  2. Hey all, I'm hoping to start fabricating certain components (eventually things like intake manifolds and sheet work) but I am not too sure what equipment to start off with. I have a basic understanding of welding but i'm not too sure if I should start off with a semi decent welder or start off with something cheap and then progress up over time. I would be just using mild steel at first. Any suggestions for Tig or Mig welding?
  3. Is it possible to get a part number for the Lanzar Heritage 4ch Amp?
  4. hahaha Nice pic, i'm wondering if the tailgate is helping with downforce ?
  5. I am trying to source out some R32 GTR wheels if possible. Don't need tyres with it Preferably in Melbourne
  6. if you have someone in the know you will definitely be able to import a vehicle much easier. The main issue is having someone ( as an agent) to look after the process on the other side. Apart from any stamp duty or import tax there should be no reason why you wouldn't be able to get this done yourself. What model are you thinking of importing?
  7. As long as the vents were not directly above the exhaust manifold and intake filters that it shouldn't be too much issue, There are quite a few manufacturers that include bonnet vents from factory and some of these like the Toyota Celica vent their directly above the turbo and alternator without affecting the vehicles reliability. if the Bearings on your alternator, power steering, and air-conditioning were subjected to lot of water you may find they would wear quicker but I doubt it's going to be that obvious.
  8. I remember a mate of mine that had a dyno shop ran tests comparing no air filter, to aftermarket panel filters and the traditional pod filters and saw next to no difference amongst all three methods. What you will get though will be a more consistent and cooler air going into the engine especially on those hot days. Remembering though that manufacturers spend hundreds of thousands of dollars designing these air boxes to be as efficient as possible. Those eBay power chips are an excellent way to blow your engine up haha. The official power chip was pretty decent, allowing you to adjust your ignition timing at much more accurate intervals compared to just rotating your distributor. Even their values have been overrated http://www.powerchipgroup.com/interact/datasheets/datasheets_two.asp?pid=Nis0021
  9. It can be quite hard to find a decent Engineer that wouldn't necessarily be over picky. Have you contacted a few from the Vicroads Web Site on the phone? They can usually give you a pretty thorough run through on what will be needed on the car for them to certify it. What sort of modifications are you needing an engineer certificate for? if it is an engine swap that was available in that car from factory they will usually just ask that the same safety components are included which will be pretty much common amongst all engineering places.
  10. Hi mate, I smsed you earlier today regarding the R32 Wheels. I was just wondering if you might be able to email me any photos of the tyres? [email protected] I am very interested.
