  6. Hi there, So a few weeks ago on a bit of a drive my R33 GTS started running very sloppy, it was very gutless and almost sounded like i had a lumpy cam in it or something. Also the sound out of the exhaust was very poppy and i could smell petrol as i was driving. It was coming up to a 200k service, thought it might have been a dirty/dodgy spark plug that might have been stopping a spark to a cylinder. Its pretty obvious that only 5 out of the 6 cylinders are working. I got a service as soon as possible, changed the spark plugs etc. Took it for a drive with my mechanic around the block and nothing, it was running great. Later that day i went for a drive to the bank and it started doing it again. Just my luck. Now this idle/running sloppy thing only starts after the car has been warmed up an about 10-15 mins of driving (which some people have thought of that to be unusual). I recently showed a family member who is also a mechanic. He took a quick look over it and said if its not the spark plugs, it could either be coils, leads or injectors. He also gave it a rev in neutral and after a few revs, when it hit about 5.5-6k it did a big backfire. I would like to know of anyone who has had the same problem as mine. I have looked around at other threads and others seems to have similar problems but the question never really gets answered i suppose. Any help would be great. Thanks
  7. Up for sale.. I bought these JDM Front Adjustable Caster Rods a few weeks ago for my R33 GTS but didn't end up using them. Still in original wrapping an everything. Perfect for better handling and proper wheel alignments. $100 for the pair. If your interested call/txt me on 0433604672 or email [email protected]
  8. 8.5's would fit perfect on front.. 9.5's on rears u may hav to roll the guards. I think if u get a smaller offset they may fit, but the whole offset thing still confuses me, I'm probs not the best person to ask lol, check ur nearest decent tyre/wheel shop.. Theyl be able to help.
  9. Just copy and fill in the table; Skyline model = R33 Series 1 GTS Wheel Brand/Model = Koya Driftek Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 8.5" Wheel offset = +35 (Running F&R) Tyre size = 235/40/r18 (Front) ... 235/45/r18 (Rear) Modifications to fit = no mods, fit perfect with 10mm gap to guard at front and 5mm gap to guard at rear. No scraping or rubbing on front full lock or suspension flex at rear. Perfect size if u don't want to mod or roll guards etc. Some pics: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/gallery/image/80399-img-1531jpg/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/gallery/image/80405-img-1522jpg/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/gallery/image/80404-img-1524jpg/

  11. Hey mate, there's 2 threaded bolts with a plasitc cover thing over them, behind the battery cover just above the strut towers in the boot. Shouldn't be too hard to fit up. This thread helped me figure it out. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/70551-r33-rear-strut-bar/
  12. Sweet as, i just bought the same from justjap.com for my r33 series 1 gts. hopfully next week.
  13. Hey everyone, Went to a tyre place the other day for an alignment an turns out they weren't able to align them because theres no more extension left in the castor rods. He was talking about getting something like castor rod extenders. There for a Skyline r33 GTS 1993. Any help relating to castor rods would be much help. Cheers
  14. Hey guys. I'm pretty new to this website so forgive my noobyness. I'm not really understanding the whole offset thing. Anyway ive got an 1993 r33 gts (non turbo) 4 stud an looking at fitting lenso d1r 18x8.5+35 to the front an rear. Only mods are lowered springs. Would they fit without any guard trimming/rolling and without any rubbing on front wheel arch/steering rack etc. Just want a nice rim that will sit flush. Any help would be much appreciated.
  15. Hey mate, Im looking at exactly the same wheels for my 1993 gts. Thinking of getting 18x8.5 all round, not sure of an offset tho. Did you have to roll the front guards or only the rear? Also do u rekon theyl fit? lol Thanks

  17. Hey mate, Im loooking at getting pretty much the same set of wheels, they look great! Just wondering if the 9x18's on the front scrape at full lock? Is it maybe better to get 8.5's.
