  1. FS, QLD- RB20s x3 and parts $150 the lot Item: Rb20det motors x3 and parts Location: Gympie, QLD Price: $150 ono, all in one lot. Phone: 0432549745 Howdy, my cefiro is long gone and Ive still got a bunch of RB20det stuff sitting in my shed. Theres 3 motors total (no turbos) and a bunch of parts. The 1st complete motor ran great but when tested it was a bit low on comp in 1 cyl so I swapped it out. I believe the 2nd is fairly complete, was a spare so condition unknown. the 3rd is in pieces, good for parts. Id prefer to see this stuff go to someone who can use it, in the next week, otherwise its all going to the tip. I'll try to take a coupla pics tomorrow. $150 THE LOT, one deal takes all, pickup only no post Bring a trailer and some strong arms/ engine crane if I dont answer I may be out of reception, give me a text and Ill call back as soon as I can.   2. Gday All, Ive just been reading through this thread for my mate Lenny whos bought an M35. Hes keen to do a few performance mods but its hard to find info on these cars. So far he has: -made a less restrictive intake -made a replacement stainless turbo intake elbow (less bendy and restrictive than stock) -chucked on a hks frontmount (came off an evo, and fitted right on!). Next up old mate will be building a 3 inch stainless exhaust, he would like to increase the boost or upgrade turbo if possible. So I guess we will need to look at turbos available and also an ecu to support it, Ive read the threads whats the general consensus for an ecu upgrade? I run a GT2871 on my RB20det cefiro but reckon that would be too small for the Stagea, Im guessing something about a GT3071 as its a 2.5L, does this sound about right? Next question, is anybody running this and how much hassle was it? thanks for any help, Agent A31
  3. Hey mate, cant think of any particular circumstance causing this, it happened once immediately after I gassed it hard and changed gear, another time while cruising at steady highway speed, so seems a bit random? Any more details of your own situation? AgentA31

  5. Ok so today I pulled out the 040, it looks fine with only about 2 specs of dirt on the mesh filter. I put in back in and pulled off the fuel supply hose to the engine, with ignition on it pumps quite a bit of fuel so Im guess the pump is ok and I should start looking at the AFM. Anybody got any more suggestions? Thanks Agent A31

  7. Ok sorry to drag this up again fellas but Ive still got this problem. So far: -my coils are fine - Ive cleaned the z32 afm- is there anyway of checking this or do I just have to bite the bullet and buy another if I suspect it? will be checking fuel pump next. Thanks for any help Agent A31
  8. Thanks for your reply, Its a bit of a weird problem. I will investigate the AFM and give it a clean for starters. Its not a missfire because all cylinders lose power at the same time stay off for a few seconds then return, so Im thinking its probably not coils this time. (Ive had dodgey coils before and been through that). Fuel pump is a bosch 040 not a 30 yr old flogged out nissan job so Im leaning away from that option too. thanks very much for your suggestions Agent A31
  9. Gday All, A couple of times recently while driving the rb20 cefiro ghettomobile, the engine randomly lost all power, like I'd switched the ignition off. By pumping the accelerator it will then fluttered a little then pick up power and continue driving normally. I replaced the ignitor and cas then drove it last night and the problem is still there, its also hard to start. Its an R32 RB20det running in an A31. Should i be looking at TPS, the AFM or what?   10. Thanks for the advice man. Failed yellowjacket found using 25yr old nissan part, now good again. Yay for breaking traction through 3 gears in a straight line under boost! Jeez im happy now! Agent A31
  11. Thanks very much for the reply! One last dumb question, how can I test them or get them tested? I reckon Ive had them less than a year, car has prob done approx 500km in that time so hopefully I can get money back/get them replaced. AgentA31

  13. Gday All, I have an RB20det cefiro with R32 motor+ecu, its got: GT2871r gtr injectors (individual resistors wire into loom)(had these cleaned and checked before fitting them. Z32 AFM+pod fmic 3 in exhaust remapped ecu new yellow jackets I built this a while ago and it ran mint but now its got a miss, sounds like dropping 1 cyl intermittently. It first started playing up during a local skid day, miss would drop in and out all over the track. Ive looked for boost leaks, loose connections, found none. Ive chucked another ignitor on it the other day and a new set of plugs(bcpr7es gapped .7) this morning with no success. First test drive 3/4 throttle went mint, second drive flat out started missing maybe 5000 in 2nd gear, continued other gears and high rpms. HELP- What the heck is going on? Its ticking me off and Im just about ready to take it to the mechanic....... all help appreciated! AgentA31
