  1. Feel free to post a link, because as far as I was aware they were discontinued.
  2. Selling Greddy cam sprocket for rb25det neo/R34 GTT. Allows intake cam adjustment without losing VCT. Item is BRAND NEW. Chasing $450 Located WA, happy to post at buyers expense.
  3. Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I am really happy there are so many people who share the passion for these amazing machines. 2 sets of good news. 1) I have managed to convince (probably just sick of my whinging) my lovely wife to let me do the turbo upgrade. Going to start trawling through the rb26 dyno thread to see which one to go with. Anything between the 600-650hp atw should be sufficient, I don't want to go overboard without forging bottom end or sacrificing too much drive-ability/reliability. Open to suggestions, thinking BW8374 or GTX35? 2) Enjoy the second location shots.
  4. I'm not sure when they were last produced - so I'll take your word for it. What I meant was since Kudos made a post ~7 months ago I haven't seen any other sets become available, at least in Australia. Just the random odd person selling a set, and they get snapped up really fast.
  5. Cheers Matt. I was hoping you'd check up for updates. The car is enjoyed and appreciated, I am making sure I take good care of it
  6. I got them from Kudos about 8 months ago. I believe they were the last few remaining sets released to public. I have a feeling as they are no longer in production, you need to know someone to find any. The price of these reflected this, and although was expensive, I feel it was worth it to finish the front end off. The airbag light stays on if you don't hook up the 34 GTR airbag, and even then I don't know if it would work (being 20 years old) or if they are even same resistance. Hooking up a 2.7 ohm resistor to the brown and black wires fools the ECU into thinking there is an airbag. You could always remove the globe as well.
  7. Sorry for lack of updates. I have been saving like crazy and haven't been doing much. Updates will be slow from now on - I have decided to go to uni so I have been banned from modifying this. (will still continue to bug her, hopefully she gives in and lets me throw a highmount turbo on). I have got the series 3 headlights and front lip on, and I also got the front end resprayed as there were lots of random stone chips throughout the paint. I got a photoshoot done for my birthday, here are my favourites from the first location. I hope you all enjoy!
  8. Nah, the strut guy just got a fitting on the new strut that fit over the 10mm ball joint.
  9. R33 GTR 19x10.5+12 TE37s w/ 265/30 Potenzas All gaurds rolled, not lowered too much. Scrubs on liners on full lock but otherwise perfect. Fell in love with the wheels the moment I saw them. Work Emotion CR2P 18x10.5+5 w/ 265/35 AD08Rs Scrubbing on full lock, but otherwise great fitment.
  10. I bought LED bulbs for specifically this purpose, to try and see if it makes much difference to the light output. I don't drive much at night, but there is a noticeable lack of light even with high end halogen bulbs (in comparison to newer tech). I mocked them up in my car and found that the large back end/fan assembly of the LED looked to foul on parts of the headlight enclosure, and would require a little bit of modification/cutting, so I'd need the front end off and the lights off the car to move further with the project. In the near future I plan on buying s3 headlights, so my s1 lights could be used to hack up to see how much modification is required, and is it worth it for light output. ETA is unknown as s3 headlights are damn expensive, but will post updates & photos when it is completed. Keen to see if anyone else does this first though.
  11. Went on a GTR cruise last weekend. Hope some more photos are uploaded, but here are some so far. Enjoy!
  12. Finally did the 2.7ohm resistor airbag light thing. Took about half hour, was pretty easy. Had a small oil leak, turns out oil was coming out the dip stick. Apparently wasn't breathing enough, so got the catch can plumbed in. Haven''t had the chance to get proper shots done, but just a couple from a few weekends ago.
  13. Teaser for everyone. Today is rainy so unwilling to take it outside the shed, but some sneaky pics of my new rims! Fell in love with them the moment I saw them. 19x10.5+12 with 265/30 Potenzas. Will go for some decent tyres when these flog out, as long as it puts the power down I will be happy.
  14. It needed to be more specific, a link is idiot proof
  15. Yay for good news. Car is safe at home now. I am very happy to have her tucked away in the garage again. The issue ended up being, as mentioned above, the 1650 Bosch injectors. They did replace them with another brand new set, but being the product itself, didn't help it. They ended up throwing in 1250s and never had an issue again. I will drive her as much as I can this break to empty out the fuel tank, so I can have a full tank of e85. Can't wait to feel the power. ? During the time on the dyno (troubleshooting), they ended up throwing the PFC on and said that the tune was really fat, hence why I was blowing a lot of black smoke on boost. They said that the car was in really good condition, and felt really good to drive. The car did a lot of back to back power runs and never missed a beat - it's good to know that I have a really solid platform. Although the work did take a while, I am glad that there are so many positives that came out of this, and I couldn't be happier with the way the car is performing. Next on the list will be a set of rims..
  16. N1 RB26 Poncams -7s Haltech elite 2500 427hp on 98 507hp on e85, somewhere around the 21 psi mark. Boost solenoid was on max duty. Will be back with a high mounted GTX35.
  17. So bit of an update. Car is still in the workshop. They have been battling with a fuelling issue for a few weeks where once the car was on the dyno for a while, the afrs would lean out. They pretty much replaced every component of the fuel system, even putting the power fc back in to see if it was the ecu somehow. Anyway, turns out the fuel was getting too hot, but still unsure how. The exhaust didn't have a heat shield and they think that the heat is soaking into the tank. Apparently Bosch 1650s are sensitive to hot fuel. They have wrapped and shielded the exhaust off, and a fuel temp sender is on the way for the haltech. Fingers crossed it'll be ready soon. Little bit of good news is that it apparently made over 500rwhp on e85.
  18. I think I am happy with the way the car looks for now. I am going to get some new rims which is next on the shopping list. I can't decide between LMGT4s or TE37s. In the future I will go for a carbon bonnet (painted white), I think I will go Top Secret but I have also always had a soft spot for the Nismo one (unsure of the specific type, but in R34s it's the Ztune style) .
  19. Bought a R34 GTR steering wheel, was sick of the standard S1 wheel - actually so ugly. Airbag light is on, but apparently can be fixed with a 2.7ohm resistor. Will get onto that soon. Installed my garage defend style carbon cooling panel from carbonetics. FItment was OK - holes for radiator brackets needed to be drilled out slightly. Car is booked in on Wednesday for E85 conversion! Haltech Elite 2500 ecu, walbro 460 going in the tank, Bosch 1650cc injectors and re-using my FPR2000, ethanol content sensor and boost solenoid. Going to give the car a birthday while it is at the shop, make sure everything is looked at and fixed, not that there is much wrong though.
  20. SOOO change of plans again, I have decided to part out and sell the wreck. There are a number of reasons for this. 1) I have bought a GTR and require funds to make it into a monster. 2) I have just built a big shed and require funds to finish it off. 3) Even if I did have the money to fix up the skyline, at the moment, I don't really have the time to fix & race it. 4) Turns out a REVS check of the car doesn't show up any accident or write off history, and the car is still registered. I also have a buyer for the shell who has checked it out with a panel beater and wants to do a GTR conversion. So I have already started stripping down the car and selling bits. It has been an extremely unpleasant experience dismantling the car that, for so many years, meant the absolute world to me. I've found myself just sitting in the car remembering all the good times I had. All the ear to ear grins I had when I gated it through tunnels, all the times I've gotten thumbs up or neck snaps when I drive past other enthusiasts. Don't get me wrong, I love my GTR, and I hope one day I feel the same about it.. But this car will always have a special place in my heart. Funny how we can get so attached to inanimate objects like cars, right? But, I hope the new owner will find as much joy in this beast as I did, and I have asked him that when it is done, to take me for a spin. I would love nothing more than for her to be restored to her former glory, and taken care of with the same amount of love that I showed.
  21. The car isn't an everyday drive, but I can completely agree with it being impracticable. The rear of the car is just as low as the front, I need to be super careful where and when I choose to drive it now. I actually (at the moment) prefer it with the current bumper, without the intercooler ducts. I think it gives the front end a sleeker look.
  22. Pretty eventful week. Did a service on the car myself, just an oil change. When I went to pull the filter off it grabbed the adapter for the sandwich plate and pulled the entire thing off. Was a lot of fun trying to put that back on considering the spot it was in, couldn't see a thing and managed to fumble my way through it. Also, like a complete moron, didn't put the drip tray close enough to the bung on the oil pan and spilled over a litre of dirty oil on my garage floor LOL. Won't make that mistake again. Also had my air con tensioner sound like the bearing was playing up, making a whirring noise. Let go the other day when I was 45 minutes from home, completely destroyed the bearings, and was lucky I didn't throw the belt and cause more damage. Got my diffuser, pods and skirt extensions put on today, I reckon it looks tough as. Apparently fitment was pretty good. Only problem is now that the rear end of the car is low. Really low. All fun and games right?
  23. I used a generic strut specialist. Old ones needed to be thrown out as there was no way they could be re-used. He just used the brackets from the OEM ones and adapted them to fit on the new struts. I believe he just measured the extents of the struts and ordered accordingly, and put above mentioned pressure into them.
