  1. Full days should be really good. The first one is in Feb. I'll publish all the dates for next year soon. Probably add a few dollars to the fee and put on a good lunch as well. Paul
  2. Hi, I have updated the Sticky Thread with the lap time records. Also I will be sending time sheets out soon. Thanks to everyone that came out, it was the biggest track day ever. I have booked all next years events as full days !! Paul
  3. I'm bringing him up on a healthy diet of Initial D, Speed Racer, Best Motoring International and Weekend Motorsport TV. Not to mention the Zoom, High Performane Imports and Racecar Engineering magazines I pass to him when I'm done reading.
  4. Got to love the old Starion, I had a JA as my first turbo car.
  5. AzzurrA, sorry not trying to appear to have 'l337' group, its just our times are done electronically to 1/100th sec. Whereas the normal times at Sprints are timed by hand (see posts above for full details). So the times kept in this thread are accurate results. Paul
  6. I have my stock bov's blocked off. It never plays up, but I still have all that plumbing across the front of the car. We removed all the plumbing a while ago and it ran like a dog. I think the plumbing dampens the air blowing back out the turbos so the over fueling doesn't really happen.
  7. Yea, there was a guy there who took over 3000 pics. Those are the samples. He wants $10 a CD for a cars worth. I will send an email out about it soon. I only have 1 of every car and I only put the lines up here. Paul
  8. Sat or Sun is about impossible unless you want to pay the premium dollar and book a year in advance. Really hard to get a weekend date. It is possible to run an extra day. I'll look into it and post back soon.
  9. On the front page I've got Old Toy33 (GTS) and New Toy33 (GTR) nf, if you mean the end of day sheet with all your laps, a graph of your performance and everyone else in rank order etc (the one jlnewton is referring too) , I printed them but not everyone collected them. If you want I'll post it out. Just PM me a mailing address. Paul
  10. Yea the blue GTR is one mad machine. It was running a very tame setup at track day as it is yet to have its power tune. Next track day expect to see nearly double the power, 9" slicks on the front, 10" slicks at the rear, side pipes etc and have a look under the bonnet !!
  11. svd001: I think JCMarshall_Law meant real as in the guy hand clicking didn't make a mistake. SirSkyline: Yea ok, you were after the result order rather than just the times. The reason I didn't do that is that "Wet" track can mean so many different things, like "constant rain" or "rained earlier but the line is drying" or "its raining so hard I cannot see". Did all you guys collect your end of day time sheet before leaving ?
  12. Didn't like my funky --Dry---,--Wet--- Layout hey ?
  13. I've added the wet times Next one is the Grand Finale of the year on November 30. Stay tuned for the email soon. Paul
  14. Ok guys, check it out. I've added rain times up there as well. Paul
  15. Couple of spots left if anyone is keen ?
  16. I got the impression its up to the event organiser. I'm guessing the supercart guys probably pay more insurance or are just plain crazy.
  17. Excellent. Its sizing up to be our biggest day ever. Anyone want to come out and help with running it let me know. The jobs are easy but keep the day running smooth. On track from 8:30 to 12:30
  18. Here is the current line up for next track day. Looks to be a great mix of performance cars: 6 x Nissan GTS 5 x Nissan GTR 3 x Nissan Silvia S13 1 x Nissan 300ZX 4 x Subaru WRX 2 x Ford XR8 2 x Holden Commodore 1 x Holden CV8 Monaro 1 x Holden Senator 1 x Porsche 911 GT3 2 x Mazda RX-7 1 x Mazda MX-5 2 x Toyota Supra 1 x Toyota GT-4 1 x BMW E30 318i 1 x Honda Prelude 2 x Honda Integra 1 x Satria Gti
  19. Yea thats what I was getting at. Maybe they think the car is safe for lower speed events than all out track work. I spoke to the management at Qld Raceway about it today and they said any non registered cars have to be scrutineered for safety. Its up to the event organser to do a risk assessment etc.
  20. You can kind of understand why they are worried about resale as not all teams would produce a solid car and they were never originally designed for high speed track work. And the safety issue you mentioned with the legs in front of the front axle. Although I believe the US competition insists on the legs behind the axle line.
  21. Hey Mate, The track day costs $110. We arrive at 7:30am to setup and are on the track from 8:30 to 12:30. Maximum of 5 groups each with 9 cars. So you get lots of laps. The next track day is on Aug 30. There are only a couple of spots left now so if you want to come PM me your email address ASAP and I'll get you all the details and onto the mailing list. Also you do not require a CAMS licence as we run the AASA insurance. The car does not need to be registered. It does need to be safe. Hope to see you out there. Paul
  22. hey Gary, Yes I have you on the list. But I am overbooked for this day so I have asked everyone to either pay now or let me know the day they will pay so I can finalise the start line up. Looks to be the biggest track day yet. If we keep growing I hope to go to a full day format soon.
  23. Yea I guess if something goes bang its in a controlled environment.
  24. Our next track day is on Tuesday August 30. The track is in Ipswich. From the GC you would probably come up the highway and take the Logan motorway, then head out to Ipswich and take the Warwick exit. After about 10mins or so there is a bid sign on the right that says Queensland Raceway. Head down there to the end and you will find the track. Otherwise you could meet up with someone heading out there on the day and just follow them there. We have guys coming from all over. I am pretty sure a few are coming up from the Coast. Paul
