why is my r33 93 backfireing... this only happens when i want speed, for example if i want to put the pettle to the metal, its starts to sound lean then backfires not allowing to go on high rev..... I have took out the blow off valve piping half and inch to its normal puting. but the backfiring never occured when i done this, only after 2weeks. help would be much appericated abz

thanks ppl much apprecated. it was because i had taken out the sterring wheel but i didnt put it on straight now its all good hope this helps others

my hicas light came on today as i was driving on a straight road at about 80 kmh 10 mins straight driving. i tryed the HICAS Diagnostic but it didnt work. is that because i took off my battary terminal and then put it back on and then tryed the diagnostic, does the battary termanl have to be on for a amount of minutes for the diagnostic to work. i take out my terminal because my alternator is recked, so every time i turn off my car i take out the terminal so the battary doesnt drian.

my r33 1993 stock turbo sounds like it wants to turn off when idleing. the revs go low and the lights start to dim. my altornator is recked though i dont know if thats the problem... when i turn off my car i always pull out the battary terminals so it doesnt die... any advise will be good thanks abz

it could be from the piping as said, my r33 had the same proplem it back fired a little then shut off, it still started everytime it clonked out. the intercoller pipe was out leading from the manifold
