  1. Perhaps you're lucky, but from reading threads around this forum, there seems to be fitment issues around the front reo bars being different widths and depths, guards not being flared, gaps around the headlights etc. It might bolt on OK, but it's the finer details that will bug me. As I said in OP, in NZ they are rare and expensive if OEM. Bump for any feedback on the aftermarket versions mentioned. Thanks
  2. Hi there, I am in the process of figuring out a front bar for my R32 GTST. I am aware that GTR front bars can fit with modification, but I am not wanting to do that, and they are rare as hens teeth where I'm from (NZ). What are your thoughts on the front bars (GTR-ST) from JSAI and KMAK Aero? GTST size but R32 shape (vents, grills, bottom lip etc). Has anyone had any experiece with either? https://www.jsai.com.au/product/nissan-r32-gtr-style-front-bar-to-fit-gts-t/ https://www.kmakaero.com.au/r32-skyline-gtr-st-front-bar
  3. Looks tidier? Always appealed to me as opposed to the usual? Thought it was about personal preferance and how I wanted it to look, not based off of performance gains. I am not familiar with the whole "top mount with an internally gated turbo" thing, it's just what I envisioned.
  4. Hey there, Posting from NZ, currently getting ready to do a RB25det conversion into my 1991 R32 GTST Type M. Just a few questions. On my current setup, I am running RX7 550cc injectors, and the accompanying turbo, the HT18s-2s. It hits 12psi @ 4k and rides solidly all the way to 8k, and seems to want to give more. I am going to be using this turbo on the 25det, due to rotaries flowing copious amounts of exhaust gasses and 25dets doing the same, it should in theory work a treat. Now I am wondering, what boost is this capable of holding? What rwkw should I expect? I am aiming for 250rwkw, with a Walbro fuel pump, FFP, stock injectors and internals, topmount manifold etc. Has anyone ever dealt with this firsthand, or know of someone who has? I have used the search function to little avail, as it only returned one thread with about 6 posts. Cheers.
  5. Hey there, Just a quick question. I am looking at turning the center dash vent in my R32 skyline into a template that holds around 2-3 gauges (boost/oil temp etc,), much like R32 GTR's have their gauges below the aircon unit. Now, I am looking for said template. A member on these forums used to send them, re: this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/32448-r32-carbon-fibre-dash-inserts/ But, that is years ago, and both his email address and website no longer exist. Now, short of my sourcing the materials and doing a hack job myself, is there anyone on here who can be of assistance? Price isn't an issue, and I will pay for postage (i live in NZ). Thanks in advance for any advice/insight, and taking the time to read.
  6. Hey there, First time poster, just wanting to ask a question or two. I am looking at this car: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Nissan/Skyline/auction-356498641.htm Have driven it a couple of times, but have noticed that when changing from 1st to 2nd at high revs under load, it 'misfires' (aka car chugs back and forth for a split second), seeming to miss a beat, but then hits back and carries on like nobodies business. Uploaded with ImageShack.us That is the info via the ECUTorque cable we have, graph indicates travelling from 1st to 3rd. This is the only niggling thing which is preventing me from buying the car. A couple of things that the owner has mentioned: -Chipped ECU -RX7 Injectors Now those two things should indicate a problem, but where I do not know. Do any of you guys have any idea as to what I should be looking for? Best and worst case scenario? Should I just stay away from it and keep looking? Cheers for any help, Damien.
