  1. I got a 3inch MS xforce from the turbo back aswell ... ive had no issue performance wise though ive already started getting surface rust around the wields about 4 months old meh
  2. Recently did a change myself (1st time)mate yea as above though i recommend gates racing belts the kit was really good excellent product, took approx 4 hrs (r33)
  3. Yep had it checked about 10 mins ago by my mechanic .. it is the timing belt looking pretty worn, they reckon its never been changed :S They reckon recently after putting the turbo back exhaust and fmic etc it has put more strain on the engine so all the old bits are giving out aka the stock timing belt and coil packs to apparently..Still waiting on the call back and quote im fearing the labour costs ...
  4. Hey guys, Recently came into a problem a kinda of knocking noise sounds like a noisy lifter but i dont think it is sounds more like its coming from the cam cover, im thinking its a timing belt noise which only started to happen after a new fmic install :S The noise occurs only after ive taken it for a drive i pull it in pop the bonnet and there's the noise, ive been told its possibly and most likely a timing belt noise, just curious ive heard its a big job to change how long would it take a experienced shop to do roughly? Cheer's
  5. Hey guys have a few issues recently come up after the intercooler install and plug change.. i hear a noise coming from the cam cover like the timing belt all of a sudden sounds like a quiet knock on idle louder as rev etc Any ideas why this would happen at all?
  6. *Update* Got it done yay took about 5 hrs had a few issues though, 1 i had remove the globe housing thing from the front fog lights because the back of the plastic was hitting the cooler (S1 sedan bumper) had to do allot of cutting to fit it snug, After going for a test drive the car decided to start miss firing checked spark plugs they were pretty bad changed them and checked coils never have, noticed there original ones (starting to melt) so thats next. Besides that was fairly easy yay just time consuming like you guys said, gonna replace coil back next week and will upload so pics when i get my camera back see what you guys think. Cheers
  7. Yea thanks for the info guys been a big help yep ive decided to jump in do it myself i had already got the intercooler turbodragon when i got ur pm cheers though got the blitz return flow standard edition .. gonna have a crack fitting it myself when i get back home next week ill upload a pic when im done, i refuse to pay 500$ for something that people have been saying is quite easy to install and i know how to use a grinder. So im gonna bite the bullet wish me luck !,,! Cheers
  8. Yea ive had a few guys tell me took a few hours and did it themselves, just baffles me why a experienced mechanic would want a whole day to do it..
  9. I only say that because a majority of scammers use non isp based emails clients to scam aka yahoo, gmail etc
  10. Yea i want to keep the car as legal as possible... I gave them a ring asked why take so long had some dude tell me that there's a difference between installing it on a coupe to a 4 door also kept mentioning on varying on how much modifying they would have to do aka cutting etc ? ?? O.o and yea the blitz was 719$ which i want to get, based on apparently being cheaper in labor to install and is of better quality, They reckon possibly 7-8 hours to install estimate and at the cost of 100$ bucks for every 1.5hrs of work which is like 600 for the day roughly on top of the 719$ blitz Fmic :S, spoke to two people one avoided me when i asked if it was a return flow as if he didn't know wtf i was on about...(which there getting back to me on) Which as you guys said return flow and a stock airbox (which i have) is 100% legal in vic Im on the fence about this one lol.. I think there main mechanic which works mainly on the skylines wasn't in, because the original phone call the guy seemed to know what he was talking about and had owned so many skylines as he told me.. Just the way this guy came across was that there was going to be so much cutting and modifying to fit and mentioned saying if you get pulled over its un-roadworthy O.o Cheer's for the feedback guys
  11. the person said they didnt have enough funds and would require me to do a small payment for the agent to a western union account.. lol its always same crap even made more obvious by the email being a GMAIL account
  12. It's a scam for sure i had a similar scenario when i was selling my vy clubsport dont bother with it. eBAY is riddles with these scammers always the same story
  13. wow yea i can the difference in pricing they mentioned blitz i know for sure and a aussie made cooler justjap.. exactly how they said don't know if that was the brand they were referring to or.. yea 8hrs i thought was ridiculous i thought these things were basically built to sit in flush onto a r33 Ill ring them back ask a few more questions
  14. oh ok just i hear allot of people having to cut parts of the car etc to fit correctly? Which i know if anything weakens the structure would be illegal and require a engineering cert if i remember.
  15. On saying that also in regards to a fmic in Victoria do i require a engineering certificate or something from the mechanic?? Cheer's again
  16. Hey again guys, Upto my next stage of mods for my r33 gtst which will be a new fmic now i have no idea how to install one or how much trouble etc, But i got a quote from a well known import specialist locally, which was for a justjap intercooler for 490$ which they reckon would be harder to install or my other option was A blitz intercooler which they said would fit easier and its of better quality to the justjap which they wanted 760$ now they reckon it would take approx 8hrs aka full day to do ?? is this correct does it actually take that long?? Cheer's also if i go ahead would you recommend the Blitz or the justjap? Is there that much of a difference? Thanks in advance,
  17. Mod it ... then tune it..
  18. Could some one please check this vin: 6U90000ER33014531 Cheer's in advance
  19. Obviously standard ride height aka "sits as high as a firetruck" .. never heard that term used before?? hmm.. anyways.. As for the rims i don't care for the brand just the point it's full chrome a ugly design and "in my opinion" looks terrible on a import. But that's my opinion and allot agree. Not a fan of all the "bling bling" P.s There are far uglier rims out there for sure.
  20. Ghetto r34 sits as high as a fire truck... these aint commodores or impala's for godsakes people lol!

  22. Make sure you update us with the 2.5" dyno sheet be neat to compare with the 3"inch one .. assuming you're vehicle is fairly stock
  23. "I'm not arguing that a larger exhaust on a turbo car is a bad thing, apart from the noise, and to a certain extent the loss of low-mid range power. " short video stock 3'inch with dyno, just need a 2.5' one now lol
