  1. Yeah, T67 goodness I've been doing a lot of reading on them and have seen a number of graphs on SR20's and they look like they could work really well, and I've always had a thing for Trust turbo's... With my 272/11.5mm cams and extra capacity I think it'll suit the T67 better than the TD06 (except the 25G), in either 8cm or 10cm form (8cm would be wiser). The hit come 4500rpm would be monstrous me thinks
  2. Mmmm lot's of Trust goodness there hey? It will be interesting to see if the 6Boost manifold can bring them on boost a bit quicker, especially if you try the 25G out. I'm fighting urges to get one of these: It would lack some response, but man it would be fun
  3. Very true Ben. I think the lack of water and crap track food contributes lot to how I feel at the end of a day. It's good to make a conscious effort to eat well and drink plenty of water.
  4. I'm a windows down man, but I don't notice the heat in the car unless it's a long straight or it's in the pits really. I really just like hearing my 'gate open up which is better with the windows down
  5. Hey Troy, what turbo are you going to run now when you get back?
  6. Not in an STi mate!
  7. Nice one mate. I used to have the same gearknob
  8. I saw the parts list in the Vic section and it's A1. I'll be really keen to see how ths progresses mate. Nice job.
  9. Thanks Snowy, good to hear. I was contemplating the RA/RS option as well, but can get these for a little over $2100 at the moment which seems like a cracking deal and a fair bit cheaper than the Teins.
  10. Thanks for that Gary. I'd contemplated the V3 for my car as they're quite cheap out of the states at the moment with our dollar being so high, but the spring rates may be set up for the KA24 they get over there so will need some looking into. A mate just bought some Cargraphic fettled KW's for his track Boxster and the price was around what you quoted but I'm not sure which specification they are (dare say Clubsport or Competition 2's). It will be interesting to see how they go.
  11. This passes: It all depends on frequencies though, as some cars with a very deep exhaust note get pinged. But yeah, 95DB at 30m is quite loud. I'm not sure if it is 95db though, as right next to it it says 75db... but the last Winton was 95.
  12. Gary, have you dealt with KW kits before, and if so what's your opinion on them? Cheers, Dane
  13. Too true, one of the best investments you can make for a track car in my opinion. I always think the money should be spent on seats, harnesses, steering wheels and to a lesser extent your gearknob as you're using them constantly and they can have a big impact on how your car feels. Well it does for me anyway!
  14. Looks fantastic, very nice indeed!
  15. Entered Zaver: Driver training is conducted on track within their own group. You can drive your car, or have an instructor from the club drive the car and show you what lines to take and how to get around the track safely. It isn't timed as far as I'm aware, but I could be wrong.
  16. A good seat is definitely worth it's weight in gold, and is a wise investement for sure. As for your steering I'm far from being an expert so take whatever I say with a grain of salt, but personally I don't like shuffling the wheel or having my hands too close together. I feel like I have less control, and think it would be much harder to control a slide. I have seen a lot of people drive like that though.
  17. SR20DE fury! I would rather cover conceal my inability to steer with gobs of power
  18. My last car was an NA!
  19. I like it Snowy, it sounds the goods. Nice to hear it's lighter than the R32, and looks a hell of a lot better in my opinion. I will miss the sound of the 3.2 though...
  20. I did the same, down from 240 to 200 in the interest of keeping the engine happy. It seemed to work as it comp tested perfectly when it came out
  21. 220's not bad from a T28 though! I have only ever run with 200rwkw's or so... time for another 100 me thinks
  22. Most definitely man. If you trust them and are happy going there then perhaps work with them on finding a solution. Hard to find people you trust and get along with! Have you looked up any old NS charts? Their were a few 2540's going around back in the day around the 240rwkw mark from memory, might be worth seeing how they go there? Nick: No stodgy RB26's allowed mate! rotors and SR20's Just jokes, I have 26 love too What turbo's do you run Nick? 17Z's? Baron: I reckon mate, should be a mid-range animal!
  23. I've been on that dyno in my old Golf, and the reading seemed about right (104fwkw's compared to a 128kw flywheel figure or thereabouts), unless it's changed since then. Baron, the T518Z is probably my favourite of the bolt ons. They perform so well for what they are, and seem really reliable too. I have a real love for the Trust range of winders, old school yet perform better than they have any right to compared to their on paper specs. I had a hankering to whack a T67 on my car the other day As for the cams, a mate of mine said he was experiencing bind with Jun 272's with 11.5mm lift and Jun valve springs (same as my setup), and had to change the springs to Tomei's so you may be onto something with the lift. He is a drifter though so sustained limiter bashing.
