  3. Hey guys, I have 1x aem wideband gauge, brand new and unused located in the ACT. Price $200 + postage if required. Can post pics, but it looks exactly the same as in all the online shops. PM me if you have any questions. Thanks, Mitch
  4. I have legit never had a pre-workout of any kind unless bcaas fit in that category. I dont even drink coffee so I feel like I could probably benefit from something but ive never really felt the need honestly. All the ones that had good rep are banned now arent they?
  5. Being competition lean is definitely not good for you long term. I think being somewhere between 10-20% is not too bad year round, but it depends on what you are wanting. If your big you are still gonna look pretty jacked at 15% or so, just minimal abs
  6. Wearing a belt low on deads is hard to even get to the bar not to mention the pinching. For squats though lower is way more comfortable I have found...
  7. I just have a inzer lever belt as well. Gets the job done...
  8. My thoughts essentially echo jangles. And if you plan on competing, you may as well train with the gear you're going to use. Im think im gonns start using the belt more once my back gets better and I can start squats and deads again. Super bummed because I finally hit a 160kg squat and a 210kg dead and then did something to my back bending down to get something from the fridge
  9. See I dont think it is necessarily a crutch... And thats why im seeing what everyone elses opinions are.
  10. I usually follow that rule as well, but im interested to hear experienced peoples opinions as well.
  11. Whats everyone's opinions on belt use for squats and deads? Do you only use them for working sets over 75% of 1rm on the main movement? Or do you use a belt for assistance exercises as well? Do you think lots of belt use creates a lower back weakness long term? Or do you think it helps strengthen by allowing you to lift more?
  12. Hes deadset one of the nicest guys getting around though
  13. First time attempting it yesterday. It was fine off the floor, but once I get to my knees its always a grind. Im weaker in deads from 4" blocks so ive just been doing heaps of block pulls and pause deads to help try and rectify that
  14. Finally pulled 200kg yesterday and it was on a texas power bar, not a texas deadlift bar, no belt either. Could be more in it with those, who knows. I almost shat a lung doing it but meh, its finally good to break through the barrier!
  15. I have been doing a 5/3/1 style pyramid type program for OHP, bench, deads and squats. I think its from beyond 5/3/1. I like it and its working decently for me currently but it may not suit you. What i like about it is its slow and steady progression, no crazy weight or rep jumps from week to week and I haven't missed a rep since starting. I have also stopped training to failure on all exercises and feel heaps better for it. It takes like 1.5 hrs to get through everything. week 1 65% x5, 75% x5, 85% x5 or more, 75% x5 (paused reps) 65% x5 or more (paused reps) followed by 4 or so assistance exercises in the 6-15 rep range for 3-5 sets week 2 70% x3, 80% x3, 90% x3 or more, 80% x3 (paused reps), 70% x3 or more (paused reps) followed by 4 or so assistance exercises in the 6-15 rep range for 3-5 sets week 3 75% x5, 85% x3, 95% x1 or more, 85% x3 (paused reps), 75% x5 or more (paused reps) followed by 4 or so assistance exercises in the 6-15 rep range for 3-5 sets I usually go for a new 1rm every 2nd 5/3/1 week after the 95% set. So i guess its every 6-7 weeks.
  16. I watched it online the day it came out. Phil is made to seem like an arrogant kinda guy, but its a decent watch. I think pumping iron was just as good or better personally though.
  17. I think they do the 1kg bags now so you can get different flavours but still have the same overall price. Not a bad idea really. The wpi foams a little with thw current supplier but it settles super quick. They definitely are a good supp supplier and I doubt ill ever switch from them.
  18. If it was on tiles or bare concrete then maybe slipping on chalk dust is possible, but not on rubber gym tiles. They are definitely lying to you...
  19. I like to squat, but I dont think ill ever be one of those guys that squat super heavy weights. I tried squat in an oly shoe during the week and I like it. Feel a little more stable and its easier to hit legal depth. Hopefully it translates into strength gains after a while. Might also look at getting a belt soon I think.
  20. Seems odd theyd go somewhere that may not have a deadlift bar, let alone a decent bar at all, to do a heavy deadlift session. I feel they will annoy many people by stealing all the weight plates and may even get kicked out...
