  1. Those mods won't add a magical 70rwkW - N1's are fairly small turbos and you will only get so much out of them. I'd be looking to upgrade those as the next thing on the list, with a re-tune & potentially a cam upgrade too.
  2. The roads were wet on the way home too. GTR + corners + wet = holy shit.
  3. Only 1.5mbit with iiNet here, planning to grab iiPhone and get the full 12mbit connection soon.
  4. I'd always stick with the ADR specifications; being at a Federal level, they actually override state-level restrictions, and therefore are grounds to fight any unjust yellows or such if you can actually be bothered. And anyone with a scanner and a half-decent printer can make a 'new' type placard, if they so want...
  5. 3G 15GB iPod. Note that the above review is of the 'first series' of the 3G (3rd Generation) iPods, for they now have the updated software and come packed with iTunes. The reason for selling is that whilst it's a damned great portable jukebox, I'm looking for something that will support a bit more of active lifestyle in terms of accessories, so I'm getting an iPod mini. The 3G 15GB isn't even that big, it's just that finding accessories like armbands that don't make you look dorky is a task in itself. Fits great into your pocket, though Otherwise, it comes boxed with the original manuals and the latest firmware revision, as well as the latest version of iTunes (4.7) on CD, so you can ignore the older version that came on the install CD. Only a few minor scratches and such, simply from daily use. Planning to polish most of them out with Brasso, anyway, so it should look near-new. Like in the topic title, $299 + postage.

  7. Coppers are fine; the Repco guys just want to make more money off you. Coppers are cheap enough that changing them every 5000kms isn't too much of an issue. BCPR6ES-11's, gapped to the appropriate space will do fine. Heck, check the NGK website; whilst they recommend the platinum or iridium, you can see that the plug for the copper/(iridium) is a BCPR6ES(IX)-11. Same plug, just won't last as long, but can work out cheaper.
  8. If it were me, the choice would be between an SR20DET and an RB25DET. Converting an SR (or even a CA) 180 to an RB isn't worth it, IMO, if you just go with the RB20. Nice engine, but the costs incurred would've been better spent either modifying the SR (or making the diff between a CA and SR 180) or spending that bit extra and going the full hog with an RB25 (or RB30!).
  9. Running it a little rich is safer than having it lean out; I suppose, at the worst, you'll just foul your 'plugs up a bit and lose a bit of power on the run there. The former is easily fixed, and the latter is basically redundant as you're getting it tuned anyway.
  10. Horses for courses; your question doesn't have an exact answer. It lies in the location of the tuners, cost and the application (hp/kW/ps goals). PowerFC is great for ease-of-use and simplicity, whilst an F CON V PRO would be great if you needed the detail in your maps and such for higher hp figures.
  11. Read the 250-260kw club thread for R32's that's kicking around; pretty much explains it in there through Roy's posts. Think induction (pod/cai), turbo (high flow RB25/med size garrett), exhaust (full turbo back), fuel (pump/injectors), ECU (SAFC/powerfc), boost and a good tune. The internals are fine, but the stock turbo can't handle much boost without the ceramic exhaust wheel delaminating and finding its' way into your catalytic converter.
  12. Streamlined, minimalistic and straight lines. No glitzy Flash, just some neat rollover menus, a fixed avatar (pic) size and reply/quote/etc buttons that fit into the theme.
  13. Hah, yeah, when they give us the web-site address with the ball photos (and hence, the hot chicks) I'll post it up.
  14. Fark, just giving a big thanks to all the lads who gave up some of their time to give us a lift. Was f--king awesome. Wet roads made things interesting
  15. Okay, money is prepped and ready to hand out, if that's any incentive for reminder; hopefully you all rock up, since we are sorta relying on you as our (only) 'lift' to the ball.
  16. Essentially just bumping the thread to provide a reminder to those involved. Can't wait! *fistpump*
  17. Ok, seems like we're all good to go for the night: magic1 (R33 w/ 'gate) R33_Cam (R34 GT-t) sileighty (sileighty) GWP (R33 GTS-25t) BoOsTeD_RB26 (R32 GT-R) Sneaker (R32 GT-R) SeriesIIGTST (R33 GTS-25t) Steve (R34 GT-R) Look forward to seeing you all there; and, if I haven't said it enough times already, thanks
  18. Fired off PM's to GWP021 and SeriesIIGTST. Thanks again to the others whom offered their cars
  19. Might take up your offer, GWP021; if to keep the flavour primarily in favor of Skylines. Thanks for the offer though, raasclaat
  20. Hah, thanks Kyles. Limo was an option, but there was no way I was going to pass up a GT-R, and my mates agreed on that point too
  21. Well, seems mikey has disappeared off the face of the earth, so I'm one car down, and still waiting for Flite (R32 GT-R) to respond. In any case, is there anyone up for filling in for Mikey?
  22. Okay, those whom I haven't talked to already have received PM's with the specifics. Just awaiting responses now
  23. It doesn't pay to cheap out on tyres; which is often why some of the cheaper packages are cheaper. Hold out until you get a bit more cash and get some decent rubber on them. Otherwise, places like C-Red usually have a large selection of rims; Buddy Club's are all the rage nowadays, and for good reason.
  24. Well, I feel like you at least deserve something for your time, 'specially since you did it for nothing last year. Anyway, cheers Paul. How many rwkW/hp is the car pushing?
  25. Bah, can't believe I missed a GT-R. Went through from the start of the thread to the end, thinking I'd nabbed all the GT-R's; damn! Well, if you're still in your corner, we've got another who'd like to come along. Makes a grand total of eight, 7 cars from here, one from outside. Short-list updated Planning to PM each of you in the next week or so, to organise times, swap contact details and find out who wants what ($$).
