  1. UAS sells them for $450 unpainted.
  2. Just make sure they're gapped to the right spacing to prevent misfires...
  3. Motorquipe (in Whitford City) has some stuff, but it's expensive. Browse there and buy somewhere else.
  4. I was under the impression that all R32 GTS-t's are Type-M? http://imports.motortraders.net/imports/home.asp
  5. That carbon-fibre bonnet just oozes cool. The front-bar doesn't look half-bad either; in my opinion, not many front-bars can come close to the standard GT-R or the Nismo ones, but that one definitely is up there.
  6. When it comes to transmissions, I'd like to see a conventional 6-speed, and a sequential-manual with paddles. The GT-R would appeal to more conservative types (eg. the people who can afford a GT-R easily), yet still demand some input from the driver. Also, even if an electric motor was used instead of the rear driveshaft and other parts, weight differences would be neglible; lithium (or other) batteries as used in hybrids are pretty heavy.
  7. Which is 114.3 x 5.
  8. That concept/artists impression looks pretty nice. It has styling queues taken from the V35, but has a more 'fleshed-out' rear. From what I can remember, the ATESSA system (almost like the one in the R34 GT-R, with a few refinements) is being used in the Infiniti G35x, to be sold in the US. As much as batteries are being used, it would be a risky move for Nissan to consider using one in the next GT-R. They still have their problems, are a little heavy, and would they be able to flow enough current for a modified GT-R? (HKS Battery Pack!)
  9. And the R32 GTS-t sits on 205/50 R16's.
  10. The 'flutter' is due to no BOV, and the air hitting the compressor wheel in the opposite direction that it is meant to turn (read: not good for turbo). I'm not a fan loud BOV's; plumb-backs are cheaper and those who don't know anything about cars (all turbos go PSCHHHT, right?) will get a bit of a shock.
  11. The RSM (Rev/Speed Meter) goes for around $400 RRP, so you can probably find one cheaper second hand or if you look around. They also get rid of the speed limiter, I believe
  12. Hahhah! Nah, I heard they give an extra 50hp! I swear!
  13. If you are going to 'build an RB20DET, you won't exactly need custom parts. Arias make forged pistons for the RB20, and my guess is that most of the major conrod manufacturers (Argo, Eagle) will also have RB20DET stuff available. One thing I can say is that a forged-internal RB20DET would be something different and would be a good starting point for others looking at alternatives to an RB25 transplant.
  14. If you're looking for 350rwkW, do it properly and get a full ECU - you'll save money in the long run.
  15. I wanted Montoya to place a little higher; his start was a little shocking.
  16. They're not on the site; just send them an email or give them a call if you're interested.
  17. $2000 probably won't get you into repeatable high-13's, though it might if you can get some good deals. Think turbo-back (dump, front, cat-back) exhaust, bleed valve (say, at ~10-12psi), pod filter with heat-shield, otherwise get a high-flow panel replacement. And perhaps a S-AFC or something, to tune those fuel ratios (due to the higher boost).
  18. All GTS-t skylines (R32 and above) have an LSD, and on the rare occassion, you may find one with an A-LSD (active LSD). 180SX's also have LSD's (or I'm pretty sure they do, like most 1989+ turbo Nissans).
  19. I've got the Logitech Momo one, and with Live for Speed, wheels are a b*tch to set-up. So far, I haven't been able to get it working, even with advice from the other players online. Anyway, the Momo wheel is great; cost me $179 new at Harvey Norman. Tactile buttons, comfortable wheel, great pedals -- and the base is quite huge, with an anti-slip plate underneath, to stop it from sliding.
  20. He's just exaggerating. They're about 1650kg.
  21. Trust make them, and Advan Performance Centre sell them. $195, with RB26, RB25 & RB20 variants. ---------------- And that engine is sh*t hot.
  22. Supposedly they make the throw 10% shorter. N1 Distribution has Nismo ones for about $450, and C's (like Pranks) for $750.
  23. It was only about 100 R32 GTR's (non-VSpec; and I've read that 109 were sold).
  24. I'd say the first one (vertex), with a GT-R grill fitted to it (as available at UAS for $150, unpainted & unfitted). With a set of Buddy Clubs' What color is your car? [added] I like the look of the APEXi N1 fitted to the one with the Vertex kit too; that burnt tip is awesome.
  25. Things like new shocks, springs, bushes etc. will probably need to be replaced (just general sports-car wear & tear).
