  1. I commend your work Peter I, it's always been in the back of mind to attempt this conversion in a 240K. What seems like a natural progression to improving the drive of an auto L6, the conversion isn't that popular, everyone goes the manual conversion. When I had an auto 240K this was the path I was going to go down, but eventually I had to sell. Great work nonetheless, keep the car original spec, plus the bonus of a more pleasant, economical drive!
  2. R30 Skyline non power steering coupling should do the trick, similar if not identical steering box to C110/210's etc.
  3. If bottom end is in good order, and you've still got factory bore/hone marks within cylinders (ie not glazed) plus good compression, you should be ok for a while. Otherwise, with what you've done, I'd also replace the stem seals for sure. If you don't have the head off, get a shop to do it, or you can try yourself with a compressor & spark plug adaptor. What head you running,, early type? I'm not sure on valve seat specs for C210. If early type, get a shop to replace valve seats or, get an R30 head, or even just buy yourself a 'valve saver' lube kit, fit it in line btwn carb & distributor, it'll save the head from dramas.
  4. Selling my Dads C210 1979 Skyline, been garaged all it's life, moved from Sydney to Melbourne last year, original 144,000klms. Car is silver, NO RUST at all, working A/C, completely original, very, very straight body, immaculate interior, well serviced. Only flaw is a minor scrape to LH rear arch. Not much needed at all to bring this up to concourse condition. Everything works, engine in excellent order, paint A1 also. If you're looking for an original, excellent, maintained, well loved, ex pensioner 70's vintage Skyline with absolutely nothing or very little spend, this is it. Inspect from Tuesday 8th Jan, $11,000 ono. Sth East suburbs, Vic. Serious buyers only. Thanks Ph 0408181586
