  1. Hi, Anyone know for sure if an R33 GTR rear seat will fit inside an R32? Thanks...
  2. hi japtaxi, can you please explain further why would we need to replace the rb26 sump? I'm doing the conversion this month...
  3. opps!! you come here too? haha... what's the colour code then?
  4. Hi, Anyone know what colour/colour code is on this engine cover? Pic is from the Nur engine. thanks
  5. Hi Abo, So what do you think of the tiptronic transmission? I'm thinking of selling my R32 and getting an GTT. But the only ones available on the market right now are autos... (I'm from Malaysia) Any thoughts? How does it perform on track day?
  6. I'm 6'1" No problems with seating even on track days. Just push the seat maximum to the back and pull the steering column maximum out. You should still be able to sit pretty straight without being " burwood" style.
  7. Hey, I've done that swap on mycar. Do it!! Its worth it. Engine pretty much bolts on, wiring needs some work to connect to the RB25 ecu. Or you can try to fit in the R33 dashboard. Makes things easier. You can get good info on the wiring stuff on Meggala's website. Use the rb25 gearbox, much stronger.
  8. Gobiz.. Are you Nain from Yoong's GTR forum? Anyway, an GTR33 halfcut costs about RM15K-20K right now Another guy named Peter (his nick on Yoong's forum is GTRFans) just had his R33 GTST converted to GTR, he bought the halfcut from Tony, I think Tony still has a another one. Another guy Terence (nickname Sabe from Yoong's forum) also had his R33GTST converted to GTR. You should ring them up.
  9. Hi gobiz, good choice. Links is currently one of the foremost skyline tuners in KL. They tune the white GTR33 that won the sepang drag race last month. A bit on the pricey side though but they're pretty good. I dun have any fancy electronics in my car so I just go to a mechanic in Puchong. He's quite experienced with Rb's but a bit old skool hehe. I currently drive an R32 with an RB25DET engine. Converted about 2 years ago. I have recently closed the deal to sell my car though Planning to get a newer skyline but maybe only sometime next year. Anyway if PM me your number if you'd like to meet up sometime... we have a small group of nissan guys who go out driving and hang out most weekends (silvias,GTRs the like..) anyway if you're not on the Malaysian GTR forum yet here's the link to join: (anyone else is interested is invited too) http://groups.msn.com/MalaysianGTRSkyline/homepage
  10. hi gobiz, Which workshop you sending your car to? I'm also from KL. Looks like a good project you have there. Why don't you change the gearbox to manual? "Potong kereta" RB25 gearboxes go for about RM800 - RM1200 if I'm not mistaken.
  11. thanks guys, we're actually testing it out with our daily car just to learn how to use it. I think the power cable is the red wire? there was no voltage with the multimeter... I think I have a broken unit...
  12. hi I'm trying to install and safc. I followed the wiring diagram supplied by the manual The problem is, when I turn the ignition to the ON position, the SAFC screen does not light up. And the car won't start. I think I've done something wrong but I can't figure it out. Could it be that the SAFC is broken? anyone has had any experience with this b4? any advice would help.. thanks
  13. thanks for the explanation sydneykid. I think the situation is much clearer now. Just that my mechanic doesn't speak english very well so its hard to explain it in the local language if I don't really know what to do hehe
  14. hi skylinegeoff, I don't really understand what does this do, I've tried to search a bit about it but can't really understand how this is done. I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) its purpose is to prevent too much oil to the head.. is this applicable for RB25det only? how is it done for the RB25? any pic? I've got to go and explain it to my mechanic... anyone care to explain a little bit more? sorry I'm a little bit lost... thanks!
  15. Hi guys, I think currently oil quantity is small... Haven't been to the track yet since its currently closed for the F1 race... Will see how it goes in April. But from the last track day, the quantity is definitely not as much as 600ml.. Hope I'll be ok though! I'll start worrying when I see more blow by on normal hard driving... Anyway, I was wondering (if I really had to), I was just to do a top overhaul would it be sufficient? I don't think I want to change to forged pistons or anything like that.. stuff like that are quite expensive up here...
