  1. is she still drifting...yikes! not sure if it was her or maybe her sister, but there was another WRX wagon which used to drag at Chiko about 5 years back...and it was VERY VERY fast and driven by a chick!
  2. You looked pretty happy Friday night...amazing what a few shots of straight Tequila will do
  3. I didn't get up till noon...no worries...buy me a beers next time
  4. mcnamg, there are pics of my car in the other pages but how did my fold up bike get mentioned in this thread lol... well here they are again my 5spd 4 wheel transport with my 6spd 2 wheel city transport
  5. super taikyu
  6. I can't read the first kanji importantly I don't think I know it...but the second kanji is Minami (south), definitely not a prefecture plate...some small town and how many small town are there in Japan with Minami! Why don't you just ask the importer?
  7. mcnamg, as I said...saying glen-chan rolls off the tongue better and sounds cuter...if you know what I mean in regards to the Japanese language. note, pronounced -Gu-re-n cha-n...
  8. I believe green plates are commercial vehicle. Any more plates to query?
  9. but really it all depends on which ever is cuter...that is for "CHAN" which can be used for guys also. KUN is not used for just teenage guys but rather for those who are younger then you. In the office they all call me Troy-kun where as my colleague they call him Glen-chan.
  10. Lol...
  11. so should I bring my fold up bike when I come over the following weekend?
  12. I don't but I have been riding to work for the past 5years...something I probably wouldn't do in Aust, so I think it's great. I prefer to take drives and have seen some very beautiful country, then when I arrive take out my foldup bicycle for a ride around the area. But I have 3 mates who do cycling around the Kansai, Chugoku and Shikoku regions during the holidays...in fact you tend to meet other foriegners cycling around too. A mate met his canadian wife this way
  13. I think it's just an excuse to show off his car because d1-monkeh- felt he met one of the 2 conditions...
  14. Hey Justin, you may know this person as well his 86 has the same Kobe plates! edit: and he did used to own a GT-R.
  15. From what I have observed I think 300 plates are starting from 2.0L up capacity, 1200kg+ weight and 1700mm+ width. Because the early Evos and WRX meets all of the above except for width and they are 500 plates...or the old 7x plates.
  16. yes definitely illegal
  17. Dave I'm sure you can find them cheaper but not by much as you said, that is the Autobacs price I quoted. I found a set of near new white TE37 with tires about 2 months ago for 100,000yen and was so tempted to buy them. Honestly though I would never pay 330,000yen or buy really expensive wheels...you'll cry when you scratch them. My OZ Racing ones are 60,000yen/wheel and the first time I scratched them going down a tight street I almost cried ARGH!!!...now there are a few more scratches on them but don't care less as they are now my circuit wheels. For my next set of wheels I will go for either in this order whichever I find first, cheap and in good condition. 1) OZ Racing Forgiata - silver 2) Buddy Club QF - black 3) SSR Type C or GT2 - champion silver 4) Volks CE28 - bronze
  18. Yukio, as I said any of 3 main criterias I mentioned and also a few other things. My Evo and a s14 are both 2.0L and have 300 plates...s13 and S15 are 500 plates...but it's no big deal. As you said only makes it easier to spot posers...but then I have seen RB26DETT in HNR32 with 500 plates. Good that you mentioned it, I forgot about the 100 plates. Also plates with a red diagonal line across the plates are dealer plates.
  19. I believe LM GT4 are about 330,000yen for a set of 4 without tires IIRC last time I saw them at SA43 with Justin...OUCH!
  20. Oh forgot to mention the 10-15 mode test should not be taken as the actual figures but rather 70-80% of the actual figure as stated by the Japan Ministry of Transport. Thus 366.52km - 418.88km...but kingscorp guess is about right, well if your off boost most of the time.
  21. that's the top numbers your refering to - 500 (used to be 5x): depending on engine capacity, car weight and width which I don't know exactly but don't really care. As an example: most small sedans/hatches, coupes like integra, silvia, celica, roadster MR2/S, roadsters etc...early skylines, chasers, evos, sti, rx-7 I believe are in this class too. - 300 (used to be 3x): same as above but larger, heavier class...NSX, Supra, GTO, GT-R, RX-7, Evo, Z32/33, RX-8, Chasers, Skylines, Stageas etc - Yellow plates: kei plates... I don't take note of the numbers. - 400: lorries, special vehicles - 800 (used tobe 88): marked police cars and emergency services ambos, fire brigade
  22. Mcnamg, correct 68L is the tank capacity...and going by the Japan Ministry of Transport 10-15 mode fuel economy standard which is where you got your 13L/100km...they tested 7.7km/L (for 97/08-98/07 built models). For 98/08-01/09 built models the 10-15 mode tested 8.8km/L for the Neo RB25DET. The other standard is the 60km/h road test which returned a 14.9km/L (data only available for 97/08-98/07 built). In comparison the 10-15 mode test for the GT-Rs: BNR32 89/08-93/01: 7.1km/L 93/02-94/01: 8.2km/L 94/02-94/12: 8.2km/L BCNR33 95/01-97/01: 8.1km/L 97/02-98/12: 8.1km/L BNR34 99/01-00/10: 8.1km/L 00/11-02/08: 8.1km/L For all the GT-Rs (exculding the BNR34 - no data) the 60km/h road test returned 14.4km/L. So by right you should be getting about the same and better for the Neo version.
  23. yeah I know...but you have to admit the BNR34 does look bigger until I checked them both after the E7 released...what is surprising is the GT-R is still running on basically the same track...you'd think it would be larger than the Evos. OK let's test the Wine Red 32...let's take a drive out to Awaji-jima Saturday or Sunday morning!
  24. Justin you *****...Yamanashi ain't that far...you'll will enjoy the drive. There is also Suzuka F1 but I probably won't go this time, 4 hours to get out just from Mie last time!
  25. Jes...you slacker, when you get your car back on the road give me a call. Dave...how about that 8 & 9, I dunno about Justin but I'm keen for a drive over myself to Yamanashi.
