Don't get an MR2, but that is just me... Yeah one of the reasons I have a 4dr is practicality and just being able to carry stuff when I go to the snowfield...also a change from having 2dr cars before. Chaser 100 will be my next car for sure, a 2JZ would be nice but a 1JZ will be plenty sufficent.
-
Be patient people . Justin himself is going insane just waiting for the car to get prepared :D.
-
Someone knows alot about this recently .
-
My vote, go the Chaser... The FD is pretty tight, I'm not tall either about the same as Brian but I found it a tight fit maybe the seat in the FD I tested was too small. Another mate of mine who is over 6ft tall also found it a tight fit an has chosen a Stagea instead. But of course not matter what if you like the car that much you will not mind the tight fit, get lower seat rails if your considering circuit...as you may not be able to fit your helmet.

and I thought you disliked super AB yes there are caravans and there are caravan parks...just not that many when you can pretty much stay anywhere within a reasonable price when traveling around the country side.
-
Who is that in the background .

Really, I have only worked with 10 grading levels and my car was also bought and graded at 4.5. Justin, yeah 10 seem to be more strict. Mine is a 4.5: 3 yo at the time, 43000km, no damage history, minor exterior scratches...very close to a 5. I also was very close to buying their dedicated 400ps STi track car with dog box, no interior and roll cage...just like Steve's STi.
-
indeed they are...
-
On the note of Justin's R32...I've seen it, but I'll let Justin break the good news soon. All I will say is the car is being prepared and be ready to see a Rezz special .
-
By right they should also have their own parking, if you don't it is parking at your own risk, in the city or out and about...motorcycles often park anywhere where the bicycles park...again parking at own risk...usually the city council don't care too much but there are periodic checks and they will come with trucks to remove all. You will need to go to the cop station to retrieve your bike. But many don't own up especially if just a bicycle, because the parking ticket probably could buy them a new bicycle. Look under any expressway and you will see thousands and thousands of scooters, old motorbikes and bicycles impounded.

Well if your car rego falls under 300 class which may be the same as mine and ie 2000cc-2500cc then yearly rego is about 40,000yen...over 2500cc (to xxxxcc) it gets expensive like 45,000yen. But if it is 500 class...which means your car is still under a certain width then is about 30,000yen IIRC from my S13 mate. If you live in say a nice rich area, then your parking can be anywhere from 20,000-50,000yen. But that is not to say, usually all the cheap parking if available would have been taken, I was lucky my apartment parking only cost 8,000yen this year (it used to be 16,000yen so I parked in another nearby parkinglot for 13,000yen)...over 12 months parking money is dead money.

Justin, different Auctions have different grading systems...but they are pretty much relative. Most work off a 1-10 scale... 10-Brand new car, 0 klms mileage, no scratches. 9-under 3 months old, has traveled less than 500 klms, like a new car. 8-under 6 months old, has traveled less than 1,000 klms, like a new car. 7-under 1 year old, has traveled less than 10,000 klms, like a new car (both inside and outside). 6-both inside and outside are good condition, standard mileage, may need slight repair. 5- 1. as same as 6 grade with slight repair. 2. metal plate , already painted. Well repaired, Inside and outside is upper average condition. 4.5-any age, bodywork is good, will be 5 grade with slight repair. 4-any age, mileage, with trace of repair, not repaired properly, need to repair again and the condition will be good enough for retail exhibit. 3.5-any age, mileage, need to repaired again in a part (corrosion, repaired trace). may have repaired trace in back panel and front buffer. 3-inside condition is bad, lots of rust & corrosion on exterior, the condition of repaired metal panels may be bad. Slightly damaged car (inner roof repaired, trunk floor repaired), colour changed car, unclear colour, damaged by sea air, etc. 2-car complete badly corroded, valueless. 1-inferior car, basically not exhibit. A-accident car with slight damage. B-accident car. --- Most good cars at the auction will be 4, 4.5 or 5 with reasonable mileage, and whatever you buy...nothing lower then 3.5! Oh and mazinger...please tell me what is Japanese suction system, is that some sort of Japanese massage

Cost for rego is standard across Japan, based on engine size and car size. Over 2000cc or over a certain width becomes very expensive. You can check by looking at your rego plate. Cost of parking is relative to where you live. Expensive cities (suburbs) can be more than then your insurnace.

It depends on how you see it, because of all the cost involved...better off getting a cheap car, but if you've set your heart on a nice car then don't let that stop you buying one...you live in the country you just have to follow their regulations. It's only when your thinking as a foreigner do you feel it is not worth it.

2000 model stagea specs (0-100, etc)
Evo_Lee replied to importbroker's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Nope, but what did you want to know...ask away? In regards to 0-100, I don't recall coming across any times. Not like they are bought by many enthusiat over here. All I can tell you is the quickest I have seen an 260RS run at a meet is 13.68s quarter, so a RSFour will not be quicker than that. -
SK, I had a quick squizz at the magazine over the weekend...nothing special, same tire spec as the Skylines...17x7.5, x8.0

What is a C35? I like the newer looking style of the M35, especially with the a nice kit. Yes, styling and engine are different...they use a VQ25DD, VQ25DET and VQ30DD, all are 5AT. And for those who want a manual there is the limited Autech Axis 350S uses a VQ35DE with a 6MT. Why bother swapping, unless you want the VQ25DET!

Have you guy 's heard of this
Evo_Lee replied to srb 33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
There are many gimmicks around...they have something similar sold at Super AB, and there are also polarizers/magnets stickers you can afix to your engine and airbox... Your better off taking out your spare tire or carpets if you wanna run a little quicker. -
I don't think many people will be able to afford the new GT-R..when Nissan said they were going to drop the Skyline name and just go with GT-R name. The sole purpose was to make it more prestigious to mix with the Ferrari and Porsches...obviously not as expensive. I forget the approximate pricing guesstimate, but it was discussed over on PF that no matter how much...a Japanese sports car should not cost that much if they wanted to stay competitive. Do a search for the thread going back about 2 years ago.

The times could be right, but to be honest I don't know of any offical test times for the EJ25T. But do I know JDM EJ20T makes more power then the US EJ25T and the 2L still has plenty left too. Goes to show how far 2L turbo engines have come since. The STI Spec C is no doubt a very quick car, about 2 version back now with the bug eye look...quicker due to weight reduction. The STi S202 based on the Spec C is even more quicker with alittle more power and alittle lighter than the Spec C. Now this is a special car with only 400 built. http://www.apexjapan.com/news/s202/s202.html Also the UK Prodrive STi version isn't faster then the Evo FQ300 just yet, AUTOCAR did a massive speed and brake test late last year and the FQ300 was still a good second quicker down the quarter. Not a very good scan but you can make out the 0-100mph-0 test times. The time break down are as follows: 0-60, 0-100 and 100-0. The FQ300 does well to clock a 4.42s (0-60mph) and a 11.99s (0-100mph); while the Prodrive STi clocks a 5.08s (0-60mph) and 13.17s (0-100mph). Both cars were tuned to 304ps or 300hp, thus the meaning of the FQ300 name. Though I still can't believe the FQ300 clocked such a quick times considering the JDM version does mid-low 13sec quarters and has more ponies...strange...must have been a very ideal day. Never doubt these cars they are now even quicker!!!

Sorry to dread up an old thread...didn't see myself mentioned...hehehe. Yeah the Mitsubishi Group is very big in Japan, perhaps one of the biggest and oldest group companies in Japan...(Mitsubishi Electric itself brings in 5% of the Japan GDP). If you know your history, Mitsubishi are among the group of companies consider the most prestigious companies in Japan for their role in rebuilding Japan after the war. The Emperor then after the war call upon these companies each involved in different industries to rebuild Japan. You will notice also these companies have their HQ located around the Royal Palace in Tokyo, said to be allocated by the the Emperor...how prestigious can you get! I was very impressed to hear this when I first visited Tokyo HQ. Are you superstitious???...these companies are said to be the primary elements of Japan or protectors of the Japanese economy/industry...if one should fall (fail) = bad omen. OK the history lesson is over... So because of their role in rebuilding Japan, they became very diverse in their range of products and services. Course all these products are made by seperate companies or child companies under the Mitsubishi 3 diamond brand name. I work at the Mitsubishi Electric Transportation Facility in Osaka, working in their Rolling Stock or Railway department, unfortunately not their automotive division but there are alot of equipment we design for MMC and other makers...also other products. Rail industry wise we are the largest supplier in Japan with 80% market share - JR East and the Shinkansen are all equiped with Mitsubishi equipment...and globally we supply all around. For you local guys, bet you didn't know Sydney trains were powered by Mitsubishi traction engines, inverters and train operating systems did you . Other big Mitsubishi names you would have heard of are Mitsubishi Corp - one of the largest trading house in the world; MHI-Mitsubishi Heavy Industry who make ships, power plants etc and of course Mitsubishi turbos for Trust; Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bank - one of the largest banks in the world; Nikon cameras; Kirin Brewery who also owns Two Dogs but still labelled Australian ...oh and also MMC who are are now dubbed the problem child of the family and so they deserve to be grilled by other 3diamond companies for giving the family a bad name. They are also so lucky to be bailed out by other family members. You can check all the Mitsubishi companies from this website. http://www.mitsubishi.or.jp/e/contents/contents_2.html So don't be surprised to find the 3 diamonds around...they are not just known because of MMC, the Mitsubishi Group name is much much bigger then MMC who are only one in the family.
