Gets worse as it gets hotter so im expecting bearing, Get it in hopefully tues/wed, thanks for your input guys.

Hi guys, Last night i went out for a run in the 32gtr Launched in first. then boosted up to 180, as soon as i let off a loud ticking/pinging sound was coming out from the engine, I turned it off at a mates and let it cool down, started back up but only made the sound when free reving above 3000 RPM Took off to take it home and under load it wouldnt make the sound or backing off, only when in between load and off load if that makes sense (cruising), by the time i got home the ticking/knocking had worsened and was doing it at idle. any ideas? i'h hoping its not a big end as it sound like is coming from the top? (car still drives/boosts and revs fine. Regards Jimmi

Hi mate i have a r32 gtr doing the same thing however mine happens very seldem. happens when i come off boost at lower revs quickly and also cruising, have had fuel filter, pods, and sparks done.

AMEN elite racing..it is torque that creates slip, i have a 32 GTR that i have done a clutch in a few weeks ago.....drop it at 6000rpm second gear at 80kmh wouldnt slip..... let is rev from 3000 at 30kmh would slip right out. infact i could even pull third and fourth gear high revs but low revs would fry it.

hey mate mine is making a simlar sound...when its cold it seems worse, but sounds like a light grinding, (r32 gtr) have taken a few mechanics they dont think its serious as its making the wrong noises, but just to keep an eye on it. mine does it even out of gear when just rolling. so im thinking just a bearing. but gtr boxes arnt the quietest full stop!

Hi guys, my clutch is showing signs of being on its last legs. It is a pull type, being made after Feb 1993, and i have seen a lot of clutches advertised as being compatible with 02/93 onwards R32GTR and R33 GTR, is it true that the R33 GTR and late R32 GTR pull types use the same clutch? Thanks James

i have a gtr 32 with two n1's 345hp at the wheels, ride clutch out a little then dump at 5000 and i get a awsome launch, and chew a bit of my clutch, but would rather that than my gearbox. the problem with you guys bogging down is your not getting boost build up, only revs, ride the clutch a bit get some load on the turbos going and youl be right, dont just rev.

Not sure about Federals, but i use four Yok advans on my gtr 245/40 all round and it grips like theres no tomorrow! road noise is shocking, and price is crunching. but launching and cornering, nothing can keep up.

Hey guys, im new here, was just wondering whats with the ranks? i have RB20DE, some people have RB30E others..RB25DET and so on. i understand it has something to do with the amount of posts? having said that some have there own like Random engine. if someone could explain how it works?
