Priced to sell as i have found another car i want. Located Mount Gambier SA. 400k away from Melbourne and Adelaide R33. Series 1. RB25DET motor and box -Motor and box is A1. No leaks or knocks. Box is super tight and no whines or crunches. (best rb25 box i have driven) -Commy spec 17's with decent tyres -Std height, suspension arms etc the only real mod is the exhaust which is a 3" catback - I walked around the car and could only point out 2 pin dents, paint is good -172000k -Have lots of service records from previous owner, i service my own vehicles every 5000k -The only bad point about this car is the clutch. Its the std clutch from factory and is 170 000k old and slipped ONCE when i dumped second hard. That in it self i think says alot about the life this car has had, never been tracked, raced etc. I havent tried doing a burnout to see if its ruined but id say its almost done. Doesnt slip AT all when driving normally and just did a melbourne trip. $5500 ONO or 5700 and i supply a new extreme HD If interested call me on 0459302735 Only putting the two pictures up to show colour as im not wasting my time with heaps of photos, Its a stock looking series one r33 at the std height on 5 spoke wheels with no dish. Upon looking at the photos (which i have seen before). It looks like a 25 box as stated as the gearbox looks pregnant were as the 20 one looks like its sucking its gut in. the slave is bolted horizontally so pretty much does a VLT box bolt like that ??

Well what do you think 25 box / vlt box or rb20 box ??

It has tel tale signs of being a 25 box but then some of a rb20. the box is behind a 25det - the bellhousing casting looks like 33 box - speedo sensor looks like a mechanical one, but could of had a conversion - And the most important piece of information is the way the slave cylinder bolts on. i was under the understanding that the 33's bolted on horizontally were as the 20 boxes were vertical ?? any help much appreciated i am ready to buy the car as im in sydney and need to know so feel free to msg me details on 0459302735

As stated, got my hands on a vertex rear bar for a 2DR but need a 4DR one. I know its a long shot but if someone is in the same position and needs a 2dr one but has a 4dr one id swap. Be happy to even put money your way and swap for a 4dr one if you have one for sale so u would have to sell the 2dr one which would be easier. Its wine red in colour also have a vertex front bar with a bit of damage held together with cable ties due to cat 0459302735 Located Mount gambier SA 5290 (500km to Adelaide or Melbourne) Make regular trips to Adelaide though so wouldnt need to post.

Well that hole is actually nothing, Have taken off the whole manifold, turbo and surrounding piping (to change manifold gasket not to find the nipple ) and still not found it lol

Should keep some of that stuff if u buy my 32. Could make a very streetable drifter if I didnt shell out 600 dollars of exhaust gear I would of snapped up those knuckles

as title as i screwed a drift button install trying to take off that stubborn boot. 0459302735

I believe it already has i am going to get it machined before putting new gasket on.

Gday, posted in general maintenance but didnt get a reply I have a leaking manifold due to one of the holes were the studs screw in being threaded and not having a stud in there. It never was a problem for about 9 months but now i believe it has warped the manifold from the heat unfortunately and in turn completely ruined the gasket for the last cylinder. At first it was just a tick tick tick when cold now everytime i downshift or let off the throttle you can hear loud backfires from the motor escaping the manifold and a bit of a sucking noise under boost. I know this isnt ideal to drive with due to it sounding like a tractor but the manifold gasket and studs have been purchased and im just waiting to buy a new front pipe and decat to do all my exhaust gear at once. So as the topic states does driving around like this cause any problems e.g bad for valves. I know it takes longer for turbo to spool up, cant hold boost for as long, sounds terrible, backfires very loudly etc but more worried about the motor as this is my daily driver. I would of thought it would ruin economy but it has probably been better as i have been rarely hitting boost. Its a rb25det btw with a stock turbo and internals. Within a week or two it will be fixed but i rely alot on my car and time is always short. ANy input will be greatly appreciated

If its getting worse chances are the motor is no good sorry to hear mate lucky rb25's are rather cheap these days

I reckon he stated man that lifter stuff has been added, Death rattles for me have always sounded alot worse than that to me. While it doesnt sound very healthy and could possibilly be a spun bearing i would check these things 1. check compression, should be all even and around 150psi 2. It sort of sounded like a leaking exhaust manifold gasket from the video so maybe check that 3. If its got fresh oil and the lifters are the problem try driving around gently and see if the problem perists, if it gets better chances are it was just lifters

In my personal opinion it should be fine as you found it before the crank was damaged, But others have stated about the oil pump. And as that is a common problem with the 26's I would have a very accurate oil pressure gauge installed and maybe one with a beeper so you know if its low. My saying is always dont fix it if it aint broke. With that being said though preventive maintenance is a good thing

Yes has been regoed with the 25 all engine numbers etc check out, air con has been removed (30kg), and unsure mate xr6 turbo was the only car i said to myself i would swap for lol. give us a buzz on 0459302735 if keen

Starting to get a bit more interest ! More so after cash as i have found a house i like, but because this is my only car/daily will defiantly trade in your vr,vs commys el,ef coons etc. Holla at me if u have a decent wad of cash plus a car to trade in as well ! Oh and on the 22nd of march an order for new cometic manifold gasket, 3" dump and front pipe, all turbo gaskets and exhaust gaskets, decat, new manifold studs and the manifold will also get machined !

Correct me if im wrong BUT doesnt blue smoke generally indicate the engine burning excessive oil or oil entering your exhaust e.g blown turbo
