There's an R33 shell on ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/R33-gtr-v-spec-rolling-shell-gt-r-rb26-rb26dett-skyline-/301096121649

I recently fitted a new fan clutch (Davies Craig Part No. 5265) to my R32 GTST. When the engine is cold the fan disengages as it should but once the engine is warmed up, at normal operating temperatures, the fan is running full speed. The temperature gauge in the car is sitting slightly above half way which has always been normal for this car and under bonnet temps are fairly low. I think the new clutch is engaging too early, but would like to test it. I assume if I put the clutch in a pot of water and heat it I should see the thermostatic spring unwind when it gets to the temperature where it engages, but what temperature should that be?

Better Flowing Intercooler For Rb25 In R32
tom_g replied to Russman's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Russ, I've got a greddy M spec if you want to test it. I'll measure it tomorrow, but I think it should fit. Its on my car, but as usual my car never gets driven so you're welcome to pull bits off it. It was a fairly cheap kit so probably isn't the greatest core, I have no idea how well it flows but you could test it. If it works we can sort something out, at least until superlap. Let me know if you want to try it. -
Talk to me before you advertise it. I'm interested in the whole setup.

R33 Gtr Rims And Khumo Ku36 245/40/17's
tom_g replied to Russman's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey Russ, I've been planning on calling you about these for months. I didnt realise you had advertised them. I still need tyres (I haven't driven the car since the last DECA). Do you think the 245s will fit ok on an 8in rim? -
That was the problem. Thanks for your help.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a rebuilt rb20 gearbox off ebay to replace my perfectly functional but very noisy (bearings) box. The seller couldn't find the receipt from the rebuild, so I have no idea what was done or if it was really rebuilt at all. From what he told me synchros on 3rd and 4th had been replaced and he didn't know what else had been done. Yesterday I had the new box and a new clutch fitted. All gears select fine, but it keeps jumping out of 3rd gear. All other gears appear to be fine, but I haven't driven it much yet, so I can't be certain. It is always while deccelarating and usually at about 3000rpm. What could cause it to jump out of gear?

Racer Industries had a store in Kensington but I think it has closed now. You could try giving them a call. http://www.freewebs.com/racerindustriesmelbourne/

Micolour Sauvic Deca Motorkhana - Round 2 - Saturday 5th June 2010

Thanks, but I'm out due to work. -
So both cars were given detailed checks at the end of the event, Snowy's car was checked against the well known specs of the R34 N1 and failed, but what was Thatcher's car checked against. Where can someone get the specs for an ATTKD? I can't find any details of ATTKD ever making a Select R SP so it would be interesting to know where the specs come from and what evidence was provided that at least 10 were made. Ash - ATTKD = Autech, so not from the Nissan factory.
-
That R32 looks bad, I hope everyone was ok. How bad are the RX8 and 400R? What did Snowy hit? Looks like a good dint. They are still shown leading early modern, so mustn't have lost too much time.

Thanks to the organisers and volunteers for another great event. A huge thanks to Russ for loaning me his car for the day and to all who help diagnose and offered to help fix my clutch problem.

Bec, is it too late to get a bed? Both nights. Sorry about the late notice.

I had a quick go at this a few days ago. Its fairly rough so hopefully someone can do a better job. If you can find a higher res picture it would be easier.

Eoi: Parting Out My R32 Gts-t

Interested in selling the rail seperately? How much posted to Melbourne? -
Ryan, did you get the entry I sent last Friday? I payed and faxed the entry not knowing the event was already full, but I'm not shown in the reserves list.
-
Look into getting one from the US. They sell for around $550-600 USD on ebay. Link

Matt, I should be in standard 2wd (unless there has been some rule changes I don't know about). Should people get points for a DNS? It seems a bit strange to give points when they didnt set a time.

Bec, can you organise a bed for me. Both nights. Thanks.
