all up it going to cost around $170 wade, that's for stainless steel piping for most parts and using a mild steel donut to do the bends and then steel reducers to go from 3" to 2.5" and silicone hose for all the joins, meeting up with the factory pipework where the stock I/C is.
thanks for the help folks
Being the cheap/dodgy bastard that I am, I'm going to try and do my I/C piping on the cheap...if it all goes horribly wrong then I'll go for the more expensive option and call ARE (thanks for the tip darrinspencer)
$80 for 1 silicone reducer.....steel ones for $8 each...worth a go I reckon
yeah...might call on hero boy to have a look next time he is about....don't have any dyno info with AFR's though so it would be stabbing in the dark a bit...
I have NFI
the same thing (popping noises in the upper rev range) happened when I changed from a pod filter to a Blitz panel in the factory box....went back to the pod and it was gone....pretty sure it's the SAFC tune
I am hoping to get a cooler in the next few weeks (sshhh...don't tell the missus), so might hold of on the re-tune till then to save having to do it twice
Wouldn't mind getting someone with an experienced ear to come for a ride in the meantime, just to reassure me that there is no detonation though
yeah james....boost comes on quicker and engine seems to rev a lot freeer
getting some popping in the upper rev range now, i think it's over-fueling (I hope, coz i don't really know what pinging sounds like), so the SAFC prolly needs a re-tune
grrrr...just went outside for a ciggie and it's sunny now
didn't mind coming to work thismorning coz it was all overcast and foggy and I thought it was going to be a crap day...not so happy now
