  1. not great tim, thats why he took them off. same reason i took them off my r34 looks so much cleaner without them
  2. dont bother with redline or any of that, i put it in my 34 gearbox to temporarily resolve a crunching 2nd syncro. 3 months later the syncro is completely destroyed and either the input shaft bearing or the other main bearing has gone as well. as has been said a rebuild is the better way to do it, i should have rebuilt mine first up. if thats not to your liking then just take it easy, rev match downshifts etc.
  3. i was just wondering that myself jet
  4. mine very rarely pops on idle, but im running a little more boost and thats why ive got 0.9mm gap plugs. as for your car the idle and misfire may well be caused by the spark plugs (maybe) being old and too larger gap, bottom line id try switching back to 1.1mm gap ones and see what happens. spark plugs are soo much cheaper than splitfires, but it it still misfires with new sparkplugs its something you may have to look into
  5. the bcpr6es one are gapped at 0.8 or 0.9 i cant remember exactly, if your only running factory boost, or have yet to experience any misfire's then stick with 1.1mm gap ones, they provide a better spark on idle
  6. here you are my good man oil - motul 4100 turbolight 10w40 oil filter - ryco z145a sparks - ngk bcpr6es ive tried a few different oils and such but this is what i stick with now. as for the cost, no one ever said buying/running a skyline would be cheap, and i like to use good stuff for everything
  7. black v35 on black wheels rolled past my work on anzac highway, im guessing titanium exhaust cause it had me expecting a ferrari
  8. if you look at the shadow off the front wheel you see that it it 'kinks' about inline with the front bar, thats caused by the lip of the front bar being further out than the wheel, suggesting that the wheels are probably inside the line of the guards.
  9. yea its just an earth, with the factory wire the other end bolts about half way up the suspension tower. ive currently got mine off as i have the heat shield off as well, and there has been no difference
  10. yea thats a gtr actuator, the "r32 actuator" as you put it is the one in gotRICE?'s picture. they bolt straight up, ive got one on my r34
  11. ill be there tonight
  12. yea she's all good now, just have to go get a wheel alignment. thanks guys
  13. cheers guys, i ended up turning it around after i found and old topic on instaling these in an r33 and the guy ran into the same problem. whilst they say r34 gts they are infact rear fork type
  14. So basically i bought a set of bc br coilovers from just jap that are meant to fit the gtt, the part no is in the photo. got bored and figured id have a crack at installing them but ran into a problem pretty quick. the lower mount hits the upright that connects to the control arms and i dont know what ive done wrong (where the red arrow is) im pretty sure ive got the correct front coilover ie. the brake line bracket it on the same side anyone have any ideas? or solutions
  15. only gunna bump this once, got about 2 weeks until i have time to wind down coilovers, otherwise im just gunna let it scrape
  16. yep im the 34 that was rolling around with the evo
  17. r32 and r33 on a couple of occasions through the hills last night
  18. He wants twin cannons if you read it properly id be looking at amperformance as well.
  19. More of an EOI HKS Silent Hi Power Exhaust - suits R34 GTT Full 304 grade stainless steel, have all paperwork that came with it, jasma certificate etc, as well as the gasket still in plastic and i have the original box Has been on my r34 for about 3 months and has seen around 1000km's Looking to sell as im going to be lowering my car another 2 inches and i have a rather nasty driveway -> will need a custom exhaust tucked up against the body It is in immaculate condition without a scratch on it Would suit someone who is looking for a high quality exhaust with a sweet note without being too loud. Id be looking for $900 ono As this is only an EOI i wont be removing it from the car which means if anyone is interested you can hear what it sounds like can pm or sms 0433987945
  20. as mentioned above the factory xenon globes/ballast are supposed to be removed at compliance and replace with normal globes, the other day i noticed ive still got the factory ballast's but the wires have been cut, out of interest i tried to track it back through the harness but got lost. doesnt help having no idea about electronics
  21. Ill come down. First time so if i dont know who im looking for ill wear a car oriented shirt
  22. ill try and make it this week. ive been meaning to get to one of these for months and meet some of you guys. what time do people get there?
  23. looks mint terry, much better offset
  24. i use motul turbolight cant remember the cost but its about $50 or $60, also a ryco z145a filter. depending how much you drained out throw a little bit over 4 litres back in, start it up for a minute to let the new oil settle and read the dipstick. if its a little low then add some more, i generally end up putting about 4.5L in each change i do. hope this helps
  25. dont overfill it to much, i poped the rear main seal on my r34 with the oil level at the hump (granted it may not have been the cause but its the only thing i can put it down to + shitty factory breather setup). n1's extra oil capacity is due to a factory oil cooler i think.
