  3. Selling a used Nismo Super Coppermix Twinplate clutch. Suites a RB25DET or RB20DET such as R33 GTSt or R32GTSt and R32 GTR RB26DETT push type. Has done 12 track days in race car. Approximately 500kms. Has done NO stop start driving or clutch riding. No more that 40% worn. Would suite 240kw+ race, drift or street car. Replacing as it slips with 500 rear wheel kw on race rubber. Not worn just too much power. Rated to 500kw at the crank. Coppermix clutches are perfect for high power street and race cars due to their shock load absorption. They are very gearbox friendly. Located in Melbourne. Price $1000 ono Post or PM
  4. So if its a RB25, the std plenum is the way to go over a Gready type unless you are running drag car power 500kw+. The std one apart from the cooler piping being longer than preferred will actually generate more torque and response due to the runners being longer. I went the RB26 ITB conversion as it was recommended at the time. It was about 20kw straight away and about the same response. Race Pace have adapter plates and can do the conversion. Topically this kit is causing us MASIVE dramas right now. We are somehow getting boost into the cooling system. Never had it before in the 6 years of use so I'm not dissing the kit at all we just need to machine and re seal.
  5. Yeah mate 18x10.5 BBS E88's. What else would you like to know about the car?
  6. Its what you can't see that is the biggest aero component. There is a little more to come. All the aero should be all done by the end of next week.
  7. Here is a little vid of some testing at Phillip Island on the weekend Hope you enjoy. If you like what you see make sure you join the Big Red Racing Facebook Page
  8. Wow what a weekend! Phillip Island was cold and wet at times but perfect turbo weather, Day 1 was full of dramas from constantly overheating to massive understeer. We managed a 1.49 which was 3 seconds faster than the cars previous PB and Phillip Island. This was a step in the right direction but with the Chasers Time Attack Evo getting round in 1.44's we were way off the pace. Day 2. We started cutting out the front bar opening to try and get control of our engine temps. Some suspension changes and aero changes started getting the car more balanced but a brake issue has now started to give us trouble where the car just doesn't want to pull up on the slower corners and in pinching tyres. With the car now staying cool and the car more balanced we were now able to cut some laps and work on that time. The Chasers Evo continued to develop and they managed a PVB of 1.40.5. After a few more adjustments we went out and gave it a red hot go. We managed 1.40.3 This was a massive 9 seconds faster than the previous day and 12 seconds faster then the cars previous PB. We were very happy and have plenty more adjustments to make to make that will only move us in the right direction. Here is a video of the lap Here is a video of my mucking around in the wet A huge thanks must go out to the following blokes, you were all awesome Racepace (Chris) Brisby Eric Lukey Jarrod Snowy
  9. Update!! It has been way too long. Infact I forgot I had a build thread at all lol. Since the last post we reached a significant milestone. We continued to develop the setup on the car and have achieved a 1:16.6 at Sandown in August 2010. Video link here This was an indication that we can generate serious speed out of a RWD platform and we had achieved our goals of beating the AWD GTR's around Sandown. There has also been the introduction of Time Attack in Australia with the continual development of the Superlap/World Time Attack series. I see this a the natural playing field for my car which is now commonly referred to as Big Red. This has led to a aerodynamasist coming on board by the name of Andrew Brilliant. Andrew has had a key role in many of the world leading time attack cars such as the Scorch Racing S15 and more recently the ground breaking Project Nemo Evo. Andrew has developed a package for Big Red. It consists of some small but sophisticated changes that we are about to test. The car now looks radically different to the original post in this topic. The major changes in the setup are: Lamborghini GT3 rear wing Custom front diffuser V mount radiator and intercooler setup Bonnet vent Custom front guards Custom front bar Weight reduction Custom loom Here are some pics of the current state. We are 6 weeks away from WTAC 2012 to be held at Eastern Creek 10 August. We are testing the setup for the first time this weekend at Philip Island. The aim is to achieve top 5 in open class at WTAC. I will keep you posted via the forum and Facebook which has since become mainstream since the beginning of this build thread. I invite you all to like the Big Red Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/TeamBigRed to stay tuned to pics, vid and our progress. A very big thanks must go out to; Race Pace Track Art http://www.trackart.com.au/ Top Stage Andrew Brilliant Andrew Collins Fulcrum Performance Advan You have all been awesome Cheers, Adam

  12. Awesome DECA despite giving Friday night a bit of a nudge and beeing seedy as on Sat. The water fight sorted that out though. Night life was messy as usual, especially when Snowey poors a drink on your head lol. A masive thanks to all the officials but in particular Rayn for his continual outstanding efforts and dedication to running these fantastic events. Wish you all the best in your new endevors and welcome Leon (stand in Brisby) taking charge moving forward. Was great catching up with everyone and meeting some more great people. Adam
