  1. Iv just been wondering how mine made so much power at only 25 psi, I'm still very surprised by how well it did with the 6x6 billet
  2. @hypergear what's the difference in this turbo versus your 6x6 billet that I have on my r32? Seems opinion for 28psi?
  3. Hey guys little update, its been a while, After playing with no vct using the s0 rb25de head i have now changed to rb25 s1 vct head and have kept vct using the external feed, only changes to the setup is the head and a larger gate. Little run down on what it has now, Bottom end: Stock rotating assembly, stock rods, stock pistons, stock crank with rings and bearings and using arp hardware. Head: S1 rb25, stock cams, kelford springs, slighty ported exhaust ports, 1.3mm cometic gasket with arp studs. Inlet: Freddy plenum, cleaned up the castings as it looked like aids on the inside, 80mm chinga throttle body. Exhaust side: 6boost high mount with 60mm turbosmart gate, hypergear atr45ss 6x6 (12 blade) billet compressor wheel with .82 rear, full 3 and a half inch stainless all the way from turbo to rear with a cat and medium size ressy. Ecu: Haltech v1 platinum pro plug and play with wb1 and flex sensor Fuel: 1000cc bosch injectors, stock metal hard lines with standard size rubber hose, single walbro 460 in tank pump, turbo smart 1200 fuel pressure reg with race works rail. Probably missed a few things but most should be covered. Ended up with 340kw on 98 and 415kw on e85 at 21-22psi, old head made 370kw on 98 but was at 25psi, now with vct and the wider power band we calculated that the 340kw with the vct and that it comes on earlier versus 370kw before hand its actually the same average power over all which was interesting. Now have kelford vct 262/272 9.35 lift cams in and some 1600cc injectors to go in so will see what it will take on stock fuel lines and see how far the pump will go.
  4. Tao, how do you reckon this type of turbo would go on an rb30det compared to the atr45ss, would definitely be a torque monster with the extra displacement.
  5. Would be interesting to see an overlay with the .63 .73 and .82 housings. Id imagine the .73 would match .63 for response maybe.
  6. What would you expect out of this same setup on 98 octane?
  7. Looks like vct really helps these turbos come alive in mid range. Even though its a .63 the torque graph looks really good
  8. Nice. From the info iv been told its around the 500-600rpm better which is what im aiming for over the last setup and with fixing the wastegate issue im hoping to be around the 40-50kw mark better in mid range.
  9. When you had it on the dyno did you guys mess around with different times of when it came on amd turned off etc to get the mid range up etc?
  10. Hey guys. Im trying to find info on r33 s1 head on rb30 bottom end regarding vct. Im looking to see if someone has a graph to compare vct on vs vct off on there dyno graph. I have recently changed from the r32 s0 rb25 head to the r33 s1 vct head and wanting a graph to see if its worth me changing exhaust housing etc. Thank you.
  11. Stock rb25 s0 head. Stock unknown kilometer rb30e bottom end with acl bearings, nitto head drain, rb25 oil pump and 1.1mm oil restrictors. 1.3mm metal head gasket 6boost t3 exhaust manifold Turbosmart hypergate 45mm Ebay inlet plenum 660cc seimens injectors Haltech plugin Hypergear atr45ss .82 3inch exhaust $50 intercooler Had a boost creep issue due to the wastegate being to small so mid range is lacking alot. 374kw was best run for the day, left it at 370kw on 24psi on bp98. 12. Saw-tooth area is just topical hub dyno being sensitive to any reactions. Every hub dyno graph iv seen all have it from various tuners. There is next to no timing up top from what I was told as it was having an issue with creating boost when timing was added up top. As already having a huge boost creep issue already it was left at that. Cam duration is most likely also an issue on the torque side as there just stock cams from a r32 s0 rb25 so exhaust cam lift is actually smaller then stock rb20 which are tiny already.
  13. Hi Xr pilot. I recently installed one of hypergears atr45 .82 billets on my rb30det. Stock block stock head stock cams etc. On bp98. Had a waste gate issue which lost alot of mid range power and torque but still managed 375kw. E85 would see a great improvement over 98 also. I have uploaded a graph from my run. Keep in mind this is with no vct so there is alot left in it. Also rev limiter was set to 7000rpm because of stock motor. Graph shows that extra revs more power is easily do able. Trent from chequred said it was hard to stop it making power at 7000rpm as it just wanted to keep climbing. Hope this helps.
