  1. Emanage ultimate ecu with 3 bar map sensor, r33 loom (easily modified to suit any model) USB interface cable, software and all manuals. I'm only selling it because I'm upgrading to an Adaptronic $500 posted
  2. I wouldn't go straight to 88mm but I wouldn't throw out a 88mm block either. Not ideal but for approx 300rwkw should be fine IMHO Sent from my iPhone using SAU Community mobile app
  3. Anything under 350 and I'd be using stock replacement with a piston to bore clearance of 1.3 to 2 thou. Remember it's the tune that kills engines. I would seriously be listening to Simon-s14 though, he has had great success with rb30s Sent from my iPhone using SAU Community mobile app
  4. 23 thou is massive, I've never seen a running engine with slop any where near that! Mine had over 300,000 on the clock and I only rebuilt it for piece of mind and so I could ceramic coat everything Sent from my iPhone using SAU Community mobile app
  5. I got mine for $150, it was running in a vl and pretty much ready to go. I have just finished rebuilding it, in hindsight I should have just shimmed the oil pump and dropped a twin cam head on Sent from my iPhone using SAU Community mobile app
  6. I thought the rb30na pistons had a higher deck height than the rb25? The crown of the two look almost identical
  7. Sorry I missed the actual point of your post, I don't know about the combination of parts to get 9.5 I think it would be pretty easy with a neo head
  8. You can get 300rwkw with an internally stock rb25det, 300 will be easy with a 30det
  9. Have you checked your cam timing? Have you checked your ignition timing? When you say you have fuel, it is actually coming out of the injectors? If you have spark and fuel the only your missing is compression. Or the correct timing
  10. Nashey, if you already have iridiums then there's not much point pulling them, but next time you change your plugs give coppers a try they are cheap and work fine. You might be surprised
  11. I change my oil every 5000 like most people I know. It's just part of regular maintenance. The op doesn't have a 2 ton race car so suggesting coppers isn't a problem and what modern cars come with iridiums standard?
  12. I never said coppers make more power. Spark is spark, as long as its sufficient to create full combustion it really doesn't matter. 1 electrode plugs to 1 million electrode plugs bugger all difference. Electricity will always take the path of least resistance. Coppers are cheap, they work fine at higher levels of power than 90% of people will see and if changing cheap plugs every 5000 kms is to hard then pay an exorbitant amount for fully sick plugs for your street car (we are talking about street cars here)
  13. So if your pushing 30-40 psi on ethanol in a vq what does that have to do with a rb using coppers on ulp on the street? I work on engines that only have 2 plugs no pistons and run 1800shp at 60,000 rpm using jet a1 but that has nothing todo with an rb using ulp on the street so what's the point in mentioning it? Coppers run fine in rb's at over 400 rwkw on ulp.
  14. No but my head and pistons are aluminum and whilst they have a larger surface area and also have the luxury of a boundary layer I would say that if your making enough heat to melt coppers your making enough heat to damage your head and pistons. Det much?
  15. I think if your melting coppers then you've got some other issues... Copper melts at 1085 c and aluminum melts at like 660ish maybe try using a different heat range copper. I know guys that have pushed past 400rwkw using coppers with no problems
  16. Sorry to dig up such an old thread but I searched long and hard and I can't seem to find the answer. With stock rb30e pistons and a r33 s1 rb25det head (obviously rb30 block) does anyone know how much I can deck the block before valve piston clearance etc becomes an issue? The block is stock as a rock no previous decking as far as I know
  17. As far as I know they are the same part
  18. Guilt-toy is it a 33 or 32? De or det,
  19. Wolverine is it a 34 det?
  20. Hey guys, I'm after a rb25det or de head for a rb30 conversion. Preferably with straight valves and ok valve guides. I'm located in Campbelltown, nsw. Willing to drive to pickup cheers
