  1. Well said Ash... and with that - el threado locko
  2. Does anyone know the owner of that car? Would love to get a photo of the twins. Perhaps leave a note under the wiper to direct them to the website? Here's another photo of my friends one. We'll call it Waykun (the gentleman)
  3. There are many good tuning shops in Melb. Recommended ones are here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=13305 It really depends on where you are located. Also - if someone isn't on the list, it doesn't mean they aren't good, they're just not active in the SAU community.
  4. Snowman: I saw a bayside 34 turn left (from city) at the first Mordy roundabout - ne'er to be seen again. Can you PM me your number for future ref. You missed us by about 10 meters Was - as always - good fun. Great to meet some new people. Was a lovely sight watching the stove-stops wind their way along Beach Rd. Much pleasure to see an unmarked SS using 'discretion' as we all passed calmly and sensibly - although at about 10km above the limit. More patrols, less cameras - a much better situation for all. Had a bit of fun heading home trying to shoot flames (success!) for the OFNSIV boys. Pulled up at lights next to a VS-Exec. Unprovoked - the driver told me he's love to go for a run but had just rebuilt his engine and didn't want to blow it up. Smells like performance anxiety to me Stopped at Coles in Prahran on the way home (cereal, milk, eggs, juice & catfood) and watched the chap-lappers for a while. Saw a not-very-tastefully modified R33 GTR in pink/purple/pearl paint with a black (painted) bonnet, red (painted) interior, carved 'gills' on the front guards and no lower lip. GTR-007. Yucky. All in all a good night out
  5. Last time I went to EvoR (on Westal Rd) - they had a purple 33 with bronze TE37s in the workshop. Pretty funny An nope on the TtTE reference I think I have been far too obscure. Sorry Is from a Ray Bradbury (yep - that guy) sci-fi radio play called 'Marionettes Incorporated' - has been sampled recently by Solid Steel. Just thought perhaps there was someone who might have been a fan... It's one of those cool Twilight-Zone style stories. Not unlike the sample on that mid-nineties techno 'Dead Eyes Open' track. Will try to remain more mainstream next time I use an obscure pop-culture reference If anyone is keen - I can burn a copy of the CD, or email the track as an MP3. The whole CD is great - worth a spin.
  6. I saw it on Toorak Rd the other night. Ask Doc - it's been at BMT a few times. Oh - and it has a 3-litre kit with N1 turbos. Perhaps this lends more to the 330 being kw
  7. You can ride shotgun with me - but I will be going to Albert Park straight from work. I meet you there?
  8. With cutlery - is it handles in or out? I've been a handles-in man for many years... but I often see people do it the other way. Which is correct?
  9. I actually saw Golgo's closer twin the other night too - series 2, no bonnet lip - but bronze TE37s. Anyone know who this is? See if we can get 5!

    Together Nye

I don't want to seem 'old' or stupid or anything... but what is 'Together' ?
  11. Haha - the poor little thing hasn't been out and about for a little while - so maybe there's a twin KGB tractor too!? You know... it probably could get a fair way up the bonnet... if it could catch you
  12. Swanky! They look like AMG 203 2-piece. Glad you have the standard wheels on now - no more HICAS dramas
  13. Not sure. Both running exhausts, HKS pods and PowerFC. Both need a tune... Will tune/dyno them at the same time - then it's off to Heathcote for the true test! I think Golgo - but then, Golgo is best !
  14. I'm having the same troubles Email it to me - and I'll plonk it on CarDomain for you: [email protected] J
  15. Haha - not it's not B1 & B2 - nice try though I have possibly over-obscured myself this time. We're talking very old school science-fiction - but recently sampled by Solid Steel... No matter - the photos work now. Linked from CarDomain. Yay.
  16. Had to set up a 'CarDomin' account to host the images. I feel so dirty Every time I try to attach I get a server error. Has anyone got some FTP space I can dump these for the moment? Can anyone else attach an image to a post?
  17. What's better than one Purple GTR VSpec? How about two Purple GTR VSpecs! A friend of mine just picked up his new toy. Again, similar mods to Golgo - wheels, exhaust - and in very good condition. Both are series 3 spec (although only the new one is a real series 3). Tell you what - those Xenon lights are bright when they follow you... Cars sounded good together - you could hear the exhaust notes phasing. LMGT wheels suit the R33 shape nicely. Might have to get the ICE boys togther for a photoshoot so we can have a foursome Oh... and I'll buy a beer (or equavalent) for anyone who knows where I 'borrowed' the reference for the thread title
  18. Send PM to Whistler - he has red SII R33 GTS with black bonnet - looks really cool.
  19. Quest serviced apartments. They have quite a few near the city. http://www.questapartments.com.au/ Look for South Yarra, Toorak, Prahran, Widsor - all close to Albert Park - and all suburbs with plenty-o-flats. Otherwise... depending on how much trouble you have finding a place - I may be able to make myself scarce that weekend, thus leaving my place empty... Send me PM
  20. What are the rims? I have 18x9.5 TE37s. Tyrewise - I got Sumitomos - good price ($350 a pop) and very grippy. Bob Jane in Prahran
  21. Just read your other thread... 275s will fit - provided your suspension is set at factory height. You may need castor adjustment though. With the 265s on full-lock (with new-improved 'speedboat' suspension) they just clear the splash-panels under the gaurds. Mind you - I have adjustable castor-rods... not sure if they make any good/bad difference though. I imagine I would still experience some rubbing on tight, speedy turns (not all that common) as the car natuaraly shifts it's weight. Best you can do is try them. I'm sure the tyre place will let you check them out?
  22. I have 265/35/18 on all 4 (18 x 9.5 rims) Plenty of room for 275s... But why would you want to? The 265s tramline like all hell - and the steering is pretty heavy. You've got all the grip you need - no point going wider. Just my 2c.
  23. New WRC 04 LanEvo: http://www.lancerevoclub.org/ They were testing the Colt Evo when I was in NZ - one local who saw said it was 'choice'
