Gearbox has redline smurf blood oil in it... Possibly 3 months old... I couldn't tell you how many kms are on the car/ engine / clutch as I bought I 12 months ago and haven't changed the clutch as yet... Have been told its some extreme multi puk clutch... Clutch fluid hasn't been changed for a while...

Hi Guys, I was out at barbs gallo raceway yesterday for a bit of testing and towards the end of the day my gear box would refuse to shift from 5th back to 4th?? Is this a common issue? The shifter completely refuses to shift into fourth unless u really slow it down or takes a few attempts to get into 4th... The box has the typical 3rd to fourth crunch... Just would like to know if box in knackered or not cheers...

Fair enuff... sounds like a lot of work to get them approved... I doubt you would have done a g/box.. the boxs in 33's are pretty much bullet proof from what i have been told... they will flog out synchro's but the gearsets very rarely fail unless you are putting mammoth HP through them.. Getting all that stuff sorted would have been a pain in the arse... i am cringing over the whole lockwire thing still...

PS what did you have to do for the annual audit?? ie lock wiring of sump plugs and the like?? at the last LF day at Barbs when my car went over scrutineering i got asked why mine didn't have all this lock wiring done???

Just run the box till it dies... never mind the synchro clips unless you can't get it into gear??? Mine has been crunching 4th since i bought the car..oil changed twice and bits and pieces found on both occasions... redline smurf blood in and g/box still goin.. hahaha

the injectors are not that old, i have had them in the car probably 12 months out of that 12 months the car has run probably the equivalent of maybe a month??? They are clean, top feed injectors and i am located in Ellenbrook
