  1. Thank you for those words of wisdom Dean. "Sarcasm" I'll keep that in mind if i plan on selling another setup like this as this one has in fact sold. Not exactly at $2100 but close enough for me . Cheers SOLD!!
  2. Hi all, the following advertisement is for a complete Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T brake setup. The setup includes the following... 1) A complete set of Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T OEM Sumitomo brake calipers (F & R). These calipers have been completely overhauled. First they were sodablasted and stripped back to the bare metal. Next they were primed and powder coated in heat resistant "Bayside Blue" paint. Following the painting process, they were then completed with brand new dust seals and reconditioned pistons. All pins, bolts and clips have also been sodablasted and are included in the sale. The result is shown in the photos. These calipers are literally as good as new. 2) A brand new full set of RDA Slotted & Dimpled Rotors (F & R). These rotors are a direct replacement for the standard R34 GT-T rotors. The sizes are Front: 310mm x 30mm & Rear: 297mm x 18mm. These rotors are still in their original plastic wrapping and box. They also come with a 1 year/20000km warranty. 3) A brand new set of QFM HPX brake pads (F & R). Like the rotors, these are still in their original plastic wrapping and box. I have receipts for all the parts and processes spent on this brake setup. Also included in the sale are all the original hoses and pads. More information and photos can be sent upon request. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to PM me. Asking price is $2100. (Slightly negotiable)
  3. Guys, unfortunately i cannot make it due to mechanical issues. Thought i'd have 'em fixed by now but unfortunately not. I'm absolutely shattered about it, was really looking forward to this. I notified Scott via email and PM yesterday but i'm not sure if he has seen them yet, hence my post here. Sorry to all those affected. Thankfully Charles89 and OYEAHA will be there in their GTT and GTR respectively so the R34's will still be represented.
  4. Hey, definitely interested in coming down. Hope i'll be considered for representing the N/A's. Here's a few pics of my R34 25GT. Since these pics, it has been lowered a few centimetres more and now has LED tail lights. Cheers Please excuse the dust on my tyres in these pics. The ground was unfortunately quite dusty at the time.
  5. Here are some pics i've dug up. Unfortunately, most of them are of Brembos and not just standard Nissan GTT calipers but you get the idea in terms of diversity of colour.
  6. Ok, so i've done some searching around and found a few threads with some pics here and there. However, these threads were for Brembos, not the standard GTT brakes. So i just wanted to gather some other opinions about what colour to get my GTT brakes painted. Posting pics along with your opinions would be much appreciated. Below is a photo of my car at the moment with the standard 25GT brakes on it. I've already got all the necessities required for the GTT brake upgrade. Just gotta paint the calipers before i install them.
  7. Ah yeah, cool. How are yours in terms of brightness? I know the MARS ones are fairly bright but i prefer the Nismo style over the East Bear style. More aesthetically appealing to me. However, I do like the clear indicator section.
  8. Yeah, the bloke who will be servicing my car is pretty convinced that a 5W-xx oil will suit it better than a 10W-xx. While i've never had a problem starting or running my car, i don't know much about it's life before me. So probably best to stick with a 10W-xx oil and be safe rather than risk burning oil and letting it seep within the engine. Maybe down the track if i feel comfortable, i might go for a 5W-xx oil. Cheers for the assistance and info guys. Will let you know what i end up with and how it runs.
  9. Wow Charles, they look damn good man. I agree with Suwidji and also appreciate how you have used the original light casings. Was it difficult to convert them to LEDs the way you've done? Might go down that track myself. I've also been looking at a set from MARS Performance. Any opinions on how this set looks... http://marsperformance.com.au/LED-Tail-Light-Nissan-R34-Skyline-Coupe-GTS-T-GT-R-GT-T-RB250DET Also, Suwidji, how do you get that R34 banner at the bottom of all your posts? Would like one myself haha.
  10. Cheers niZmO_Man, appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. I'm in Melbourne. The weather fluctuates like crazy here in Melbourne. The winters here are relatively cold but not to the extreme. In saying that, i have never had a problem doing a cold start. However, this winter has been unusually chilly. In summer, the mercury can hits levels of low to mid 40's but that's the extreme. It's usually quite pleasant here in summer in my opinion. You are correct in presuming a daily driver. It will never see the track. However, it does have coilovers and sway bars and every now and then, i like to put my foot down and take some corners a little aggressively. Based on the number of kms I've done and my local climate, i'm leaning towards something in the 5W-30/40 range. Your probs right, i don't need to spend too much on the oil but i want nothing but the best for my R34 and want it running as smooth as possible. Have mate who has the same car as me, except his a GT-V. He swears by Mobil 1. Just another quick question, how will i know if 5W-30 is too thin? I don't want any oil seeping into places where it shouldn't so is there any sort of indication?
  11. How much of a difference is there between 5W-30/40 and 10W-30/40? Might be a silly question but both levels of viscosity have been suggested to me and i really don't know which one to go for. I know u gotta take into account the number of kms done and the average weather conditions but that's about all i know about those numbers.
  12. Also open to other oils too such as Mobil 1 and Motul 300V.
