  1. Under all that Tupperware it's still a GTS-T no matter how good it looks (and it does) Couple of R34GTR's for sale here for less money. Would still be enough money left for a cool set of rims. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=69670 Have to ask yourself which would have the higher resale value in 5 years. Maybe a bit harsh of me but my opinion only of course Cheers

  3. He must be on this forum I thought I saw the car for sale here
  4. I'm 6'4" (and wide) :-) Never had a problem with room at all Cheers Chris
  5. Glenn Did that one have leather or cloth seats?
  6. I've been given an estimated price for a 350 coupe of around $55k As much as I want one I cannot justify that sort of price when you look around at what you can get for that sort of money. '04 350Z with $10k change(or supercharged) and Nissan warranty New STI almost New Mazda 6 MPS 4WDT Used RX8 New Maxima + Almost New Pulsar New Monaro Used HSV Monaro The list could go on. I considered myself a Skyline nut (owned 1965 GTB,240KGT,C211,R30,31,33,&34) If I don't think they are worth that for say an '03 model (and can afford that price range) what will the average guy think when looking at one. I don't see many sales until prices come back a fair way. Much as I'd like a coupe I'm not prepared to pay that sort of money and live with possible parts and insurance hassles just to be different.
  7. Got the original engine and parts etc? Could it be returned to stock easily? Cheers
  8. Some very interesting reading. Very good points raised by Liz and Ozzie_21. Ozzie, Age should not be a factor , Your posts point to a maturity that I could never have matched when I was 19. So you and all the other young ones should be welcomed with open arms for the club to survive. And Jason, I don't know the background causing your problem with Mike as I don't think I've met either of you but from what I percieve from your posts on this thread you need to let go of the anger mate it's unhealthy. Go have a beer with the guy. Cheers Chris
  9. That's strange as I watched my cars being offloaded in Perth too and saw nothing untoward. They were just too busy to thrash them as it is such a tight schedule to unload them. Remember they unload new cars as well. It wouldn't be an issue on a new 350Z. Cheers
  10. How did you know my names Dick  $12,000 should get you a nice 180SX or R32. Have you tried here? Not sure if there website is up to date but worth a look www.autojapan.com.au Cheers
  11. Spellcheck...ever heard of it?
  12. Welcome to the fold :-) I'm sure you'll like the REX. I must admit to being a little dissapointed with mine at first after coming out of an R34 but it was done at the time for practical reasons. Over the last two and a half years though the REX has really grown on me for sure. Young kids still stop and look at it driving along and give a wave and big thumbs up. I have just replaced the tyres and it is now back to how I remember it with huge levels of grip and handling (don't ever buy Sumitomos for a REX) Skylines are still my favourite cars (or any rear drive Nissan) but these things run close. Cheers
  13. Thanks Dave The Toyo T1R is top of my list at the moment for less than $300 each Cheers
  14. Can anyone recommend a tyre or good deal on a quality set of tyres? I'm looking for something that will work well on the street and for MC motorsport. After 40,000kms on the Sumitomo HTR II's that I put on I cannot wait to send these to the bin. As tyres for a trailer they would be ideal. I have been recommended Continentals or Hankook KT104 (But then the same guy recommended the Sumitomos) Any experiences welcome Cheers Chris
  15. Couple of points there mate. I was referring to doing a burnout in a car. I'm not a fan of burnouts as I feel they are too hard on a car requiring no special driver skill. But hey if your into that fine and if you own the car and have paid for it you've earned the right to I guess. My objection was to "borrowing" a $80k plus vehicle and caning the ring out of it. Having said that I've never subjected any car I care about to a burnout (ie Buffy the V8 slayer) but have enjoyed taking a car to it's and my own limits. That's enjoying a car as the designer intended. Secondly if an old Granny had owned the car instead of me it would be minus the gear that was included with the car. It may not have been serviced regularly by granny either who knows. Most people here would rather a lightly modded car with some fruit on it over a stocker I guess. Depends on how you define good value.
  16. Exactly Niz He has little respect for a car that will become someones pride and joy one day after shelling out a considerable amount of money. Cheers
  17. The more I research about the V35's the more I like them. A G35 Infinity (read Skyline) in the USA with filter and exhaust only, manages 5.3 secs 0-60mph and a 1/4 mile in 13.8. ...not too shabby for a car with "no soul". Supercharger and turbo kits are readily available in the states too. Compared to a stock 33/34 GTS/GTT it has nothing to be ashamed of in a straight line and point to point would probably be quicker.
  18. Driftt...Where in Perth??? I'm interested in having a look as all reports say the coupe is better looking in the metal than photos. That's alright by me as I think they look pretty hot with the right bodykit and the grille painted black. Thanks for the thumbnails "darrinspencer" For me all Skylines are great cars but one must move on with technology.
  19. Well if you've owned R30,31,33 &34 where to next?...A Commondoor
  20. Does anyone know if the G35 Infinity/Skyline Coupes can be imported here. Any RAWS importers available? Cheers Chris
  21. Jim noooooo!!! Read this http://www.pistonslap.com Cheers

    Car Wanted

Yes I'm trying to stay under 2 litre so it's more economical for him after his EA Foulcan
  23. I'm looking for a cheap reliable run around for my Nephew. He's a poor Uni student with $4K to spend on something that won't cause him (and me) grief. His old man is working away in Ireland at the moment and insists that I pick the car this time which means that I have to give the lifetime warranty. As you'd imagine I'm keen to find something decent as a result Cheers Chris
  24. Yeah mate still got the REX. I'm into the 12's too ....but not in the REX the new toy goes well for a 1600 NA With the exhaust, aircleaner and chip mods may even make 11's with my fat arse on it See pic
  25. G'day Adam Wondered where you were. What you been up to? Cheers Chris
