Just switched over from Optus 3gig as well - went over to Internode 1.5 Mbit flat rate unlimited plan. Its $150 a month but we are splitting it 3 ways. We can get around 130 k/sec on a good connection.

I reckon he is, cos its the same ECU used in the VL Commodore and you're telling me hardly anyone has modified the ECU on a VL??? come on!

Sounds like you have the stock GTS (non turbo) wheels - are they 4 stud? The turbo stock rims are 5 stud. hope that helps.

With regards to pinging - would the car appear to surge or splutter on acceleration or is this a completely different problem?

Yeah but i'm thinking why not have wireless net access and you could set it up so your pc at home could encode / stream the foxtel signal over the net so you could pick it up in the car. Now that'd be a cool project if you could get it working and had $$$$ - imagine the data download charges hehe

If you could get foxtel in the car why would you bother getting out of your 'Line at all? A mobile divx/mp3/mame enabled small pc would be a lot more fun and give you a much wider range of cool stuff you could do I reckon. Having a library of music clips on demand would be pretty damn cool.
