  4. Hi guys, After 2 turbine housings (for GTR fitment) in good nick for my GTX turbos. They can be from: GT2860-5 GT2860-10 HKS GT2530 They need to be in good nick, so if you have some failed bearing turbs or back ends lying around, let me know what you have. PM or post what you have. I am currently stripping my car as I have no licence and lost all interest in imports, here is the engine Rb26DETT Build and inclusions as follows; Run in and was tuned to 14psi has done 2000km, made almost 400HP at @ 14 PSI Mild Port polished head fully reco'd replaced all retainers Tomei 1.2mm headgasket Genuine nissan gaskets used throughout rest of build Tomei Oil restricter in block Gold painted cam covers Sard 700cc injectors Fitted with D-Jetro map sensor nipples can be blocked if not using Oil drain fitting at rear of head, braided line to sump All new silicone heater hoses and vacuum lines Polished Plenum and twin turbo pipe Water Pump was replaced as well as T/Belt tensioners etc at build Block decked and machined, bored and honed for 20 thou oversize pistons Build Blueprinted and all measurements adhered to Eagle forged rods CP forged Pistons 20 thou R34 GTR crankshaft ACL RACE series bearings ARP Headstuds Jun Sump baffle with steel trap doors All new brass Welsh plugs, block painted in black enamel Motor included all listed minus parts below $6500 (Whole motor plus intake side minus turbos and accessories) Here are the extras add prices if wanted with package, currently it is all together still HKS 2530's brand new when fitted to motor $2000 (Still on engine, if separate sale extra for fittings etc) Nismo Engine Mounts also new at fitment $100 R32 GTR engine loom complete for $250 Have alternator and Pwr steer pump plus belts for $80 a set Splitfire coil packs and loom for $450 Feel free to PM txt or call if you would like to mix and match or if you want a cheaper price i can for example change injectors to std etc, I have heaps of other parts for sale as I am stripping my car so dont hesistate to ask. Hey Guys, Selling my Garret 2860-5 turbo kit , this includes everything and anything i dont need from my twin set up including standard manifold and Tomei dump pipes kit has done around 1300-1500ks made around 413awkw but have seen this kit make up to 420awkw, a great RB26 upgrade if your looking for more power. will deliver almost the same power as some of the big single set up , turbos are in great cond and powertune can verify this as ive had them inspected. also willing to throw in my rochester 1000cc injectors as im also going to upgrade these.   7. Interesting Dyno results 2530 / setting up the tiing with a dial gauge Had the car on the dyno the other day and seemed to run into some strange issues. Ill start by explaining the setup: Stock bottom end Stock head with internal VCT mod ( expect has upgraded cam springs Gt35 front wheel on a holset HX35 ( 12cm, 60mm inducer, 70mm exducer) supporting mods for 350+rwkw So the dyno sheet attached was the absolute peak the car made on 20 pound, it was a hot day with the ambient temp in the shed 40-50deg however back to back runs showed the car lacking power each pull dropping to 280rwkw, and then even when letting the car cool it would not make the 300 again. After mucking around with a few different ideas and finding that the VCT was not working we called it. After doing ssome research on here its possible that the cam timing is out ( even though the marks are all pretty well lined up) its possible that due to tensioner placement, decked head and block etc that it could be quite out. So my questions are: does the dyno graph shape indicate the cam timing? ( what 2530 continues making power to 6800 with no drop off?) and what degree to set the cams up using a dial gauge? Any other suggestions? Cheers
  8. hks2530 cam selection I need help selecting cams to best suit my 33 gtr with hks2530 turbos I have it narrowed down to two choices 1) Jun 264 10.5 IN, 256 10.5 EX 2) Tomei poncams 260 9.15 IN, 252 9.15 EX Which the tomei poncams have the best response? How would the jun cams compare in terms of response? How much more power would the jun cams make at top end? What other if any modification would be needed with the jun cams? Thanks Stephen
  9. Re-Tune Required GTSS to 2530 Okay I am having a hard time trying to track down information for the particular circumstance I am in. I purchased a GTR several months ago that had the following applicable aftermarket parts: 1992 R32 GTR HKS Intake Pipes HKS Cat Back Exhaust HKS GT-SS Turbos HKS FCON V Pro 3.1 HKS EVC Boost Controller My turbos went out about a week ago and I have them currently being replaced right now at a shop that specializes in GTR maintenance and modification. I ended up not realizing what turbo's were on the car when I purchased it but I assumed they were either GTSS's or 2530s based on the response time and amount of boost they were able to handle. I ended up ordering a pair of 2530's for replacement. Now that I know the car had GTSS's in it before and I am switching to 2530's, do I need to get the ECU re-tuned? If so, what specific metric of the new turbo's would drive the need for a re-tune? My understanding is that these turbo's are very similar in response and power output and due to the limited availability of 4-wheel dynos and tuners who can work with HKS FCON products it is going to be close to another 2-3k to get the thing re-tuned and I am just looking to make sure it is necessary.
  10. Which should I go with GTX2863, 2530, or 2860-5 Before I have my r32 tuned on a haltech, I want to install new turbos. My goal is 600-650hp. Currently making 530hp on R34N1 turbos. Cant decide between gtx2863,2530 or 2860-5. Current setup 530@19psi 2.8l (supposedly tomei stroker) tomei cams tomei manifolds nismo intake manifold 700cc injectors nismo fpr/pump N1 oil pump and water pump R34 N1 (AA403) turbos hpi elbows mines frontpipe Decat HKS exhaust tomei ecu
  11. Hi i have fitted a hks 2530 to my r34 gtt. I know they are not the best match but as a stop gap, what sort of boost level should I run it at, on 98 Ron with usual mods, stock manifolds etc and power fc and what sort of power do they generate thanks
