  2. 1998 R34 25GT Four Door Hi guys, the time has come to sell my car that I've had for about 7 years. It is a non-turbo tiptronic auto so its p-plate friendly, has 184000 kms, unmodified apart from the addition of splitfire coilpacks. Last service was about 3000 kms ago with royal purple, only ever run on 98 octane fuel. Interior is tidy apart from a tear in drivers seat and wear on the steering wheel. There are a couple of rust spots appearing on the roof that are an easy fix. Car drives like a dream and comes with rego until June 2014 Looking for $8500 Car is located in Wollongong NSW Contact Alex 0422785907

  4. Time has come to put my beloved car for sale! Selling my 2000 R34 25GT Coupe Bayside Blue... Have had this car for about 2 years now. This is actually my first car and has been amazing to drive without missing a beat! I'm the first owner of this car since it was imported back in 2010. The car is stock however it has a complete 5zigen exhaust system. The sound is legal as it is not to loud but add's a good tone. It also has an aftermarket Apline headunit, capable of connecting usb and aux. I have changed the Coilpacks to Spitfire and also the Spark plugs as I have heard that R34's require them to be changed! The car has NEVER been thrashed, driven very carefully as i love this car. This is a beautiful car, mechanically sound and really turns heads. I only drive it to work and University which is only 10 minute drive from my house. I'm selling it because I have other commitments that need to be taken care off. Price: $13,999 However reasonable offers will be considered Kilometres: 64000 Colour: Bayside Blue Interior Colour: Black and Grey Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic Body : Coupe Drive Type : Rear Engine : 6 cylinder Petrol Aspirated 2.5 L (2498cc) Reg Expiry : October 2012 Road Worthy : Yes Please serious buyers only, no joy rides. 5. R34 Auto Off headlights Hello, So today i modded my headlights to they turn off automatically when the key is removed from the car. I am doing this on my 1998 R34 25gt. It should be the same for the gtt at least, and somewhat similar for other models. This will make sure you cant leave your headlights on when you park only to return to a flat battery. (I've done this 3 times now) Tools: Soldering iron, Wire cutters, wire strippers, pliers, Crimper (i just used my pliers) Supplies: Solder, 3 horn relays. (i used jaycar part SY4068) at least 12 connectors to put on the relay tab (you need 12, but the packs from jaycar come in 8 packs.) couple of meters of wire Heat shrink First you will have to remove the plastic surround that goes around the steering column. There are 3 screws underneath. undo these and pull down on the handle that adjusts the wheel height, with this done it should just pop off. once this is done you will need to remove the lower dash piece. On mine there is a screw on the left and a couple of bolts on the right next to the bonnet release. you should now be able to pull it off, making sure to disconnect any plugs that are on the panel. there will be a bundle of wire coming from just behind the wheel under the dash then back up under the dash, In mine it was already cut open so this is where i attached my relays. you will need to find the correct wires that control the head lights. In my case it was the RED/WHITE wire, RED/YELLOW wire and the RED/BLUE But you should check these are correct. Best way i found is to look on the back on the indicator stalk there are 2 plugs, one has about 12 connectors on it, the other has 4. The connector with 4 plugs should have the wires said above and a green/white one. (Again your mileage may vary) Where ever you decide to splice into these wires you might want to cut the wire and extend it about 10cm on each side of the cut so you have a bit more room to work with. I soldered my little extension on the cut wire and heat shrunk it up. With this done i crimped the connectors onto the end of my wire and connected these to pins 87 and 30 of each relay. Now to get some power to toggle the relays. you will need some that is only powered with the key in the ignition. I got mine from the 12v socket next to the shifter. Connect a length of wire to the pos and neg of this and run it to under that dash (There might be a better spot to get this from, but i couldn't think of anywhere) then you will have to split this between the 3 relays. you can do this how ever you want. it should be pretty straight forward. crimp your connectors onto these wires and plug them on the remaining relay plugs. When moving the key to ACC you should be able to head the relays clicking. if not check your getting 12V on the connectors and that they are plugged in to the correct pins. it should be pins 85 and 86. Check that the lights all turn on with the key in the ignition. remove the key and the lights should go off with that.
  6. Exhaust System for R34 25GT Hey guys, I have a 2000 R34 25GT (auto) and I was thinking of changing up my exhaust system for it to sound a bit better instead of the regular engine noises you get with a N/A 25GT... I was thinking of getting a 3" System with a catback but I've been having troubling being able to locate one... ive managed to find one for a GTT: http://www.xforce.com.au/xforce-products/cat-back-system-for-a-nissan-skyline-r34-gtt-coupe-1998-to-00-with-a-3-inch-cat-back-system-with-angle-out-cannon-stainless-steel/productnr-ES-NR34-05-CBS/cid-1063040115/vid-21817 was curious as to whether this would be able to go into the 25GT? or any other suggestions very welcome! (First time poster sorry if I've mucked anything up) Thanks - Sam
  7. Looking to buy a non turbo p plate legal R34 skyline coupe. Preferably white or bayside blue. Must be manual and a series 1 (1998-1999). email/pm me to contact me.
  8. Hi SAU, As title says, looking for a p-platers skyline for my brother. Will be used as a daily, so a reliable example would be most desirable. - must be manual, coupe, and n/a (GTS or 25GT) - maximum budget of $7500 - must be healthy mechanically for age (no leaks in engine, no gear crunching, etc) - not to fussed on interior/exterior condition (a bit of color fade not an issue) - r32 and r34 would be top preference, but r33 which meets requirement will also be considered (already have an r33) - any color - registrable in VIC - prefer it come with RWC, or at least in a condition where RWC would be easily obtainable - VIC located cars only please Contact me through this forum or PM me. Thanks, Josh
  9. 350Z LSD in R34 Hey all, Fair warning, this might be an incredibly dumb question as I'm only just getting into the whole car modification scene and don't know much about how everything works, but I'm looking to get an LSD for my 25GT. Unfortunately the amount of info on this topic isn't so much scarce as just contradictory, some people say a GTT's will fit, others anything from the 33 side of things, an S15's might etc. I recently came across a 350Z LSD (I wanna say R200) and accompanying axles, my question is this: could I feasibly swap all this into my R34? I've heard the 350 has considerably stronger axles due to a ball and cage design so I guess that's a bonus, but I assume the bolt patterns on my current axles won't mate to the 350's LSD housing, hence the need to swap those out as well. Any thoughts on this'd be greatly appreciated.
  10. Hey all So my driver window motor has given up, i had some issues with it previously and got it repaired although the auto electrician said it will eventually give way again and so it has The pictures below are the motor found in my car, 2001 r34 25gt sedan and im not too sure if it matters from different series. Im willing to pickup the item or if anyone knows where i could go purchase one.
  11. I’m looking for a good fun P plate car in Victoria. I have settled on getting a Skyline 25GT, Sedan, Manual. But my friends are telling me to watch out for the build quality, as it’s a cheap Japanese sports car. It sells for 12,000 at 150,000kms. I’m not sure if I should get it or not. Or just go with a boring everyday driver. I want increase it’s per with a couple of basic mods such as new exhaust system, cold air intake, ect. But I don’t know if I should do it or not. Any advice on a good 5 seater fun car?
  12. R34 25GT-FOUR Hello everyone, i have been looking up some information on a R34 25GT-FOUR that i might be buying soon, the question i'm trying to find an answer to is the AWD system, is a the same setup as a torque split or is it always in 4wd mode. A few sources have said its always in 4wd mode and others say its 2wd until traction is lost. What makes it more confusing is that it is running a R33 RB26DETT engine with a R32 gearbox. Thanks
  13. What parts can i swap over? This year im engine swapping an RB26 into my 25gt and was wondering what parts i can keep? can i re use the cam angle sensor from my rb25 neo as well as the radiator? any help is greatly appreciated thanks.
  14. I Drive a 1998 Nissan Skyline R34 25-GT (import), I had it in the shed for 3 months then went to start it up and the battery is dead, which figures lol but after i jump started it, it started to have an engine chug sound, it does it in neutral, park, and while driving, it sounds like the fuel pump, but would like verification and details on which and where to buy.
  15. hey guys was looking into lowering my R34 when i ran into a few problems. Im running 10.5" rear tyres and 9.5" fronts. Now, because the front tyre has ben stretched to fit the rim (rim pokes slighty out of the tyre) the front wishbone rubs on the INSIDE of the rim at full lock (refer to picture). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can lower the car and avoid any further contact with the wishbone? ideally spacers is an option but dont want the wheels to look ridiculous sticking too far out of the gaurds. ive attatched a few photos you can refer to if im not quite making sense, cheers guys
  16. Finally ended up going to Import Monster as you all suggested (thanks a million by the way) and got myself some brand new Work Emotion Kiwami's. 18x9+30 on the front and 18x9.5+30 for the rears. They're on Continental MC5's. (235/40/18) Absolutely Stocked with how they look and perform!
  17. Hey Guys so i finally got my dream car, the first car that i ever took notice of in my life, might get some shit off this but it was when paul walkers skyline poped onto the tv screen and i fell in love with the car, and here i am with my very own. Decided to name it Gigan named after one of the monsters in the Godzilla Universe, was going to go with Ghidorah but the name doesnt fit the number plate if i were to get one from my plates, here are pictures below, hopefully they are not terrible. Front what i was able to find out on the vin plate, the paint is original, this is a 2001 25GT GTV Series 2 (I dont know if the GTV Series 2 means anything) with 119xxx on the clock with an NA Neo Engine, Most of the car is stock, The Exhaust hasnt been touched, Front bumper is after market, Aftermarket Head Unit With Sub in Boot, Aftermarket enclosed box and pod filter, came with the original Maintenance Note, with Japanese manuals and infomation, (Kenwood, mine is jvc head unit, Viper security and a notebook) The guy who i bought it off threw in a Big aftermarket GT wing, short shifting kit, he put about 4 grand into it before he let it go to me, (New heavy duty clutch) He genuinely loved it and now its my job to do the same, any and all feedback would be appriciated. *Questions* Thought id get these out of the way so i dont pollute any other forums with questions done to death so if anyone ventures onto this thread they might be able to help me out* I put the vin through gtr registry and the vin says its turbo at the start then later on it says its not turbo, does this mean its turbo ready or something? Are the S Badges on this car actual skyline badges or are they silvia or aftermarket badges (Refer to steering wheel and the bottom of the engine photo for S badge on the mesh. The left hand side of my boot is more open than the right side and i dont want any moisture in there (Refer to close up boot photo) Any suggestions? Are there any cost efficient styling tips would anyone recommend, i quite like the black on blue look Getting alot of shit for my gutter rashed wheels, would you guys have any recommendations for replacement rims The Enclosed box stuck out to some, under investigation the bottom of it has a hole smaller than the actual air piping to the engine so it doesnt look like its sucking in enough air, any ideas would be appriciated here (Has a pod filter in it) Some engine parts are heat wrapped, i dont know if this is beneficial or not as its supposed to keep heat out but wouldnt that keep heat in? Just a jab, any thoughts
  18. Fender/hood options? Hey guys, I'm sure someone somewhere has asked this question before but amongst the millions of threads on this topic it's hard to pin down an actual answer: if I buy a genuine GTR front bar for my GT series, can I use an aftermarket fender/hood set-up in place of OEM parts to ensure correct fitment? So say for example I use an East Bear hood instead of an official Nissan item with my GTR bar, would it all fit up fine or would I be having issues with fitment? I understand when you use the OEM bits you need hood latches and all the rest which I'd rather avoid the hassle of if I can. Cheers
  19. R34 GTR fender washers Hey all, Currently in the process of doing a GTR front end conversion to my GT, got some fenders on the way and was just hoping if anyone could tell me what size bolts and washers are needed to fit the GTR fender stays to the GT's body? Can they be picked up from any local hardware/automotive store or do I have to order them specifically from Nissan? Kinda stupidly assumed the ones already in the GT would just bolt straight up but having read through the conversion guide here... ...I'm now not so sure. Any help'd be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  20. Hi everyone, my name is Justin, I'm 19 and from Melbourne. 2 months ago I sold my Commodore wagon and Imported a 1999 R34 25GT. Obviously i didnt get the GTT because im still on green P's for another 3 years. I paid $8000 for it and it only has 85,000 ks on it. Im looking forward to taking it to track days and meeting all you other Skyline enthusiasts
  21. R33 GTST brake clearance for 25GT Hey all, Getting some Rota Grid 18*8.5+30s thrown on my Skyline R34 25GT later this week and was wondering, will this put a stint in my plans to upgrade the brakes to the R33 GTST 4-pots? The guy when we were buying was pretty adamant that I not have Brembos on it due to problems with clearance, most people hear R34 and just assume GTR I guess, but presumably those'd be considerably larger than the GTST's? I don't have any pics at the moment but can get some once the wheels are actually on the car. My question is will I have any issues fitting the brakes to my car with these wheels? Cheers
  22. Hey SAU, Does anyone have part numbers for general service parts for a 1998 R34 25GT (Coupe) RB25DE (eg, air filter, fuel filter, break pads, etc) (please supply in list form) Thanks in advance
  23. I've seen a few posts similar to this, and in all of them the comments are full of people bagging the idea of putting a roof rack on a sling, to this I say, my car my life. I am currently looking to get the genuine roof racks for an r34 sedan, my car still has the mounts on the roof and as I live in the country and travel a lot it will suit my needs. I've been unable to find any and just want to be pointed in the right direction or even want to buy some. I will attach photos of the mounts. The closest thing I've found is an old Japanese catalogue with the r33 ones listed.
  24. For sale a set of used N1 coilpacks for sale, great condition, has done about 300kms before my car got written off and now im left parting it out.. they made a huge differance in response and ignition problems that commonly affect the rb25 engine. Great construction, have a metel jacket to protect them from breaking down rather than the crappy plastic ones that the OEM use. asking for 200 ONO i paid 300 for the set.
  25. Selling Greedy type-s coilovers for an r34 25gt (non turbo). asking price is 1100 ono, pm me for details or call me on 0424953332 thanks
