  1. For sale is my 1998 40th Anniversay R33 Gts-t Skyline, 5sp manual $13,000 Will consider reasonable offers. This car is in absolutely immaculate condition inside and out, serviced every 5000kms. Reason for sale - I bought this car last year before knowing I'd be moving to the beaches. I love it, but it doesn't suit my lifestyle ( i.e fit my surfboard! ) Very few modifications: - 3 Inch Turbo back exhaust - SBC boost controller - have always run car stock at 7psi - Tein coil-overs - Short shifter - Apexi Turbo Timer - Kenwood Head Unit - Bluetooth handsfree, USB (front port and cable in glove box), Aux, CD Player, Digital Radio - 4 Speaker Stereo - 6 Inch Pioneer splits in the front, 6 Inch 3 way Kicker speakers in the rear I recently replaced all 4 tyres to pass Rego in December, and comes with one spare (was cheaper to buy 4 tyres than 3). Feel free to call for more pics or to organise an inspection. Cheers, Ryan 0401 487 434 Located in Newport [email protected]

  5. bought the car, 1998 R33 gtst 40th anniversary series 2 or 3 i dont know, debatable, anyways, drove for a month, no dramas, one day lose boost and power so crawl 2km home whilst making ungodly bloody grinding noise, figured i blew turbo, so, bought a stock r34 turbo, installed it, topped up water and it was back to its old beastly self, infact running and sounding brilliant, so i kinda guessed problem solved right? wrong!! 2 days later, same situation, just putting along, not giving it balls, all of a sudden, loses boost and power again, same as before, did i do something wrong?? is there a blockage in the oil line? was it just a crappy used turbo at the end of its life?? split hoses have been replaced i dont know what else to do, buy another turbo and blow out the engine line with an air compressor?? kinda stumped any advice would be ace, cheers
  6. so i just bought an r34 hi flowed turbo for my 98 40th anniversary edition r33 gtst, i have 3 inch exaust all the way thru and turbo timer, thats it, stock as ma socks, oh and its automatic lol, what can i expect? been told i dont need any upgrades other then boost controller to pump it up to 18psi and i can get 260kw at the wheels?? does it really need new ecu and injectors or can the stock ones handle it? am i likely to run into problems cos several sources say they r running 20 to 22psi with everything stock with no dramas at all but im sceptical, im also led to believe that the skyline motors were all detuned so they could be sold here in australia, is this true? what is the real stock power of a japanese rb25 that hasnt been detuned for our roads? does this mean all the stock gear such as cooler and auto gearbox can handle a potential 400 horses with just a tune to get the engine back to its true stock form?? incase u cant tell, i am a bit of a skyline noob also does the fact that its an auto take anything away from performance other than the fact that i have less control of gear changes in the rev range, one mate thinks it will be quicker and better to drift but once again, im sceptical . . . should i be thinking manual conversion?
  7. I just bought a 1998 2.5 GTS-T Type M 40th anniversary. Does anyone know what kind of oil i need to use in it and a part number for the oil filter?
  8. Hi everyone, I'm Chris and I'm new to the SAU forums. This is my '98 R33 40th Anniversary, which is currently in the middle of being built and getting some fresh paintwork done. It's my first turbo car since getting my full license and its been a real fun experience so far, can't wait to drive it again when it's back on the road.
