    Ac Compressor

    Hi all, The AC compressor has begun making noise when it's working (clutch engaged), a bit like a diesel but quieter. I'm guessing that's not good? Anybody had this before? cheers DaveB
  2. Hello, I am looking to buy a metal part that connects to the Condenser in an R33 GTR, I am not sure how to describe it exactly but it could be like a loop that slides back and forth. If anyone has any pics they could send that would be a bonus because I can show my mechanic as he has more of an idea. It has been really hard to find so if you have all air con parts in tact perhaps a picture of that will also help, otherwise I might have to buy the full setup if it's all anyone can offer. I am in Perth so postage can be covered by me. Even if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be a huge help! Cheers Chris
  3. Hi guys, New to the forum. Picked up my first V35 350gt(2003 Coupe 6mt Bone stock) in Australia last week (Had an Infinity G35 in States). Absolutely love the car, mechanically it is immaculate, drive and shift smooth. Today I notice an issue with Climate control. When i adjusted air con temperature from 18 to 28, i could barely feel any change, air was really cold all the time. Until i set it to 29, I could finally feel a bit difference. When i set it to 32, vents started blowing warm air but it was moderate. Also I notice that once AC is on, the compressor will not kick off, it stays on all the time unless ac off. I thought , compressor should switch on and off to adjust temperature. Any thoughts? Please help, thank you!
  4. So my wife's R33 A/C has been acting kinda funny lately. Even with the climate control turned completely off, the A/C still stays on. It blows very cold and all of the mode/blend doors are working properly, but it just won't stay off. Any ideas?
  5. I've noticed recently that when I come onto boost under moderate acceleration I hear a big screech sound which I assumed to be a belt. I've tightened the PS belt 2 times already as after having a look, that one appeared to be the loosest. Now its no longer the loosest, the ac one is, but to be honest, while that one has the most slack, I wouldn't call any of them "loose". This makes me a little confused as to what's making the noise and how serious it is. Background info - Engine done 128k, belts in good condition, belts and tensioners/pulleys all replaced 28,000kms ago, air con compressor works, but leaks green dye and is original. Water pump and timing belt changed with belts. Anyone know what's going on?
