  1. So it would seem that our Shell will be getting her Skyline back next week !!! This Demands a Cruise in Her Honour and also to Blow a bit of High Octane Exhaust in Skippy's face as Punishment for taking her 34 off the road for soooooo long... So how bout it Peeps? I propose a meet at the Hindmarsh Bus Stop at 12pm ( for the late risers amongst us. ie. SHELL ) Leave around 12:30 - 1pm and go for a Respectful fang around some of our Favourite corners / scenery... Uriarra - Cotter etc and perhaps finish up with BBQ Roadkill somewhere. (Pine Island?) I am merely the instigator and will happily leave any or all Options / Changes / Better ideas to Shell herself to Update as she sees fit. (Date, Time, Location...whatever) But yeah... We Should All Go For A Drive !!! (and if the Shell 34 factor aint enough for you, it's my B'day next week too so just do it for me B!tches.) aaaaaaand...GO!!!

Further Details (Members Only Access) Facebook Event Page Just extending the invitation for this Sunday's SAUVIC cruise in case anybody has missed out on the thread. This offer is only available to SAU VIC members and membership will be checked on the day. If you have applied for membership or are awaiting confirmation on your application, or just have any questions, send me a message and I shall sort you out. Hope to see you there!
  3. 2013 SauQld Annual Skyline Charity Cruise Description: It's that time of year again ladies and gentlemen, the Annual Skylines Australia QLD Charity Cruise! This year we are helping out the Smith Family with a Teddy Bear run just before Christmas. The Smith Family conduct regular fundraising events to support children from families and will be there to show their support towards us. We are holding this near Xmas so that we can help those out in more unfortunate circumstances. The fact that they are receiving a toy will be a big plus in any child's eyes and can really make a difference. This is why we ask you to join us and demonstrate our strength as a community of Skyline owners. We will be meeting at the Samford Bowls/ Tennis Club Car Park and cruising via a nice scenic route to Lakeside Park. This route will be released on the day and clearly marked pilot vehicles will lead you there. We will be holding several raffles and a Show 'n' Shine with all profits going to the Smith Family. The attached document outlines what can and can't be donated in line with The Smith Family's policies. As this is a charity cruise we will be charging a fee of $20 and a brand new teddy bear/toy per car to donate. Toys other than teddy bears would be greatly appreciated. Year after year, they tend to find a shortage of toys for boys aged between 8-12 years of age. Being a cruise, there is to be no speeding or unlawful behaviour. The club will be on public display and anyone caught breaking the rules will be asked to leave. This is a great cause and year after year we are able to demonstrate our strength as a group and assist those less fortunate in a positive manner. Come along for the ride and have a great day! Location: We will be meeting at the Samford Bowls/ Tennis Club Car Park and cruising to Lakeside Park. Details of the route will be provided on the day. We will have several cruise leaders with their cars identified and we ask that you follow these cars and don't overtake them. Date: Sunday, the 8th of December. Time: 10 AM arrival at the meeting point for a 11 AM departure. There will be prior sub-meets held in the South, West and East to allow people to travel in a group together. If you would like to assist in organising this, please contact myself or an Exec Member. Cost: $20 and a teddy bear or toy per car plus any fuel/food you use/eat. Requirements: This is one of the only events we run with vehicle requirements but as this is a Skyline charity cruise we do have several. Your car must meet 2 of the following 3 requirements: 1. Be manufactured by Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun/Prince 2. Be sold as a Skyline 3. Be powered by an RB or VQ engine Eg: A Nissan Silvia powered by an RB25 would be eligible as it meets two criteria A Toyota Supra powered by a VQ35 would not be as it meets one criteria only The only exemption to these requirements are the R35 GT-R, and the F31 Leopard. There are Sprints on at Lakeside as well so it will be a great day out. Feel free to invite others who own cars that suit the criteria. Let everyone know that it's on. Get out there and spread the word! Let's all join together and make this huge! Look forward to seeing you there. Thank you, Tony President On behalf of the Entire Executive Team 2012 The Smith Family's Toy Book Appeal Information Pack QLD.pdf Charity Cruise Flyer 1.pdf
  4. NSW owners did a cruise up Bells Line of Road, here's my after video. Being 2nd car made it hard to get footage of alot of the cars. https://youtu.be/Yb78q_8_9zs
  5. Hey Guys & Girls I work at a restaurant called "Pizza's In The Mist" in Robertson, where we do great pizza and a la carte, but also Take-away. Facebook page here We've only recently started opening for Sunday lunch and I thought I'd be a great opportunity to get another cruise in. And who doesn't like driving up Macquarie Pass. The owners are also putting up a dinner for 2 for the Best Car, judged by the Pizza boys. We had the South Sydney Cars And Street Machines up last night, and they had a great time. Just an expression of interest as I'd love to see all the Skylines again. Plus the sound of 20+ RB motors reverberating off the solid walls of MP is just . Leave your thoughts and ideas. Josh
  6. Hey Guys, Unofficial Cruise #3 This is my first attempt and we will get better as we go Its that time again for our Newcastle crew to get out and do some cruising on the 21st October. This will be an early morning cruise due to the traffic that generally builds on Old Pac. I suggest you grab a bite to eat before you go due to the time in the morning, IF you guys wanna meet earlier and stop on the way down please let me know and ill make adjustments but at this stage we would like to be nice and early. The cruise is basically a run from Newcastle down to Gosford/Kariong so we can meet out Central Coast SAU crew and have a quick meet up, we will then proceed down Old Pacific Highway (Old Pac) and then down the Galston Gorge. There are 2 options planned for the lower end of the cruise and this is to accomodate the cars that will be too low for a Ferry crossing. Chookie and Myself did the run and it is a nice chilled out drive, this will be a cruise and not a race, any misbehavior on the road that may cause a bad name for SAU will not be tolerated and you will be reported. We have had a good start to our Northern cruises, lets not ruin it now! Cruise Details - When - 21st October - 7am start 7.00am meet up at Mattara Hotel Charlestown. Please bring a full tank of fuel, there is multiple service stations within 1km from the meet point including E85 fuel. 7.15am Departure from the Mattara Hotel carpark will take us down through the coast and onto the Freeway where we will meet up with the Central Coast guys The meet point will be the carpark across from the Central Coast BMW dealership (Kangoo Rd i believe), there is plenty of room to meet up at this location. Arrival should be around 8.25am depending on traffic. We may take this opportunity to grab a few pics and meet each other as there will be some new faces on this cruise and we want it to be a friendly and welcoming meet Departure time from the carpark will depend on the photo's but it will be NO later than 9am as we will want to get on the Old Pac nice and early. We will enter the Old Pacific Highway at the top and follow it all the way down towards Hornsby, We are planning to stop and get some pics of the cars on the waterfront, the best we could find was these spots for now, we are open to suggestions on the day but at this stage the plan will be here - Heaps of room to line the cars for an angle shot - Just over the bridge to the left there is also a spot looking back at the bridge and also over the Marina etc Once the photos are done we will cruise down through to Hornsby on the Old Pacific Highway, at this stage we will have NO time constraints so it will be very casual. Once again there is 2 routes we have on option to us based on the cars that attend. Lowered car option - If we have too many lowered cars the plan will be down through Galston Gorge and across the other side and then we will have a quick stop at Galston and then head back through the Gorge and return up Old Pac. Normal cruise option - We plan to turn down Berowra waters and head across the Ferry and then proceed up through Galston Gorge and back onto Old Pac. The Gorge The Ferry As you can see the ramp IS steep and we will make the call on the day as to which route to take. Once we are back on Old Pac we will be returning to the famous Pie In The Sky for a bite to eat, if you dont like these pies then there is something wrong with you They are amazing!! Once we are full and had a good catch up it will be time to make the trip home, we will stop and see off the Central Coast guys at the original location and then proceed back towards Newcastle. We will be inviting our friends from 3LACK UNDERGROUND and possibly some others, this cruise is NOT restricted to skylines but please no bombs or stock dailys as we would like some nice shots to show the Newcastle/Central Coast car enthousioust scene is in full swing! We have a good thing going, lets KEEP it going. We are all here to enjoy ourselves! Guys please be aware - We will be the most courteous users on the road, and we will not be doing ANYTHING to cause any disrepute for the club. This will be another fun day, with the only cost a bit of fuel, and what ever you decide to eat and drink. On this cruise we will ALL be sticking to the speed limit. There will be NO DRIFTING. NO BURNOUTS NOTHING ILLEGAL! For these activities we will discuss some events located up here possibly with the MG car club and others at a later date. Looking forward to seeing you guys there! BRING A FULL TANK OF FUEL, AND BRING YOUR CAMERA!!!! For any questions please feel free to ask, you can also PM me or send me a message and i will be happy to listen to any feddback or suggestions. Attendance will be an unknown but closer to the date i will update it further in this thread. At this stage we should have - Me - 34GTT Chookie - 34GTT Ruxis - 34GTT M.J.H - 34GTT GTR43A - 34GTR Tank - 34GTR If i missed your name its because i am useless!
