  1. G'day all, Up for sale is my pride and joy/labour of love. Unfortunately, the last unplanned build cost(considerably) more than $20, so the missus has tightened the vise on the jatz crackers, and I have to sell my baby. First up, to be absolutely clear, this car was NOT a 260RS as it rolled off the factory floor. This car has been modified to a standard far greater than the humble 260RS can claim. Please don't start slanging off about how 260RS' are better, because of this or that component... this car has has almost all parts contributing to performance (handling, go faster and stopping) modified, replaced or upgraded. Please read the blurb. I have a huge folder of receipts, so anything I have done/modified/replaced, I have full records of. The car is a Black, Manual, 1997 Nissan Stagea (Series 1) with 109,480(ish)km on the clock. It has been converted from a 2.5L auto to a Manual RB26DETT... and then some. ENGINE / COOLING: - R33 N1 Block - From an 8000km young crate engine (receipts), fitted Mar 12 - N1 oil and water pump (800km old, see above) with water pulley overdrive - Tomei Headgasket with oil gallery restrictor - R32 GTR Head, reconditioned at 101,000km - Tomei Poncams, IN: 250, 9.15mm, EX: 252, 9.15mm - Tomei Vernier camgears, set at IN: 8 deg adv, EX: 6 deg ret - Iridium plugs, fitted Mar 12 - Yellowjacket Coilpacks, fitted at 101,000km - NISMO sump baffles, fitted Mar 12 - HKS 2530's, reconditioned with new garret CHRA's - Mobil 1 and Penrite HPR Synthetic oil used religiously at no more than 2500km intervals, from 5w50 to 15w60 depending on season - JASMA Oil Filter relocation kit, uses larger Z56B filters and no more nightmare oil changes - UAS Oil/Air Separator or catch can. Not currently fitted due to excess condensation generated during winter. Never collected any oil in it, but is included. Would be good for anyone looking at running extended periods of high revs - Aftermarket 130mm core Aluminium GTR Radiator - SAMCO Sport radiator hoses and stock Nissan 82 deg thermostat (fitted @101K km) - Full silicon heater and water hose kit (fitted Mar 12) - Still runs OEM aircon and blows nice and cold - Radiator air diverter shield (R34) FUEL / AIR / EXHAUST: - Sard 700cc Injectors - Sard FPR, rising rate - BOSCH 044 fuel pump, mounted in-tank - Fuel filter replaced 101K km - Fuel pump rewired direct from battery - O2 Sensors are 800km old R33 GTR's. Are currently disconnected on advice from tuner. This car, in all of its various builds, has never run right on O2 closed loop feedback and as such I have pretty much left them unplugged after fighting the white for a couple of years - Stock GTR Intercooler - SAMCO Sport Intercooler/Intake Hose kit - Drift pods with custom cooler and intake pipework - Custom Twin BOV setup, Greddy Type-R VTA and stock GTR BOV plumbed back to intake - R33 match ported exhaust manifolds - X-Force mild steel front pipes - X-Force stainless steel highflow metal cell cat - X-Force stainless steel, split dumps - Custom 90mm stainless exhaust from front pipes back, with 125mm canon tip and 70mm silencer (both ADR legal dB). Unknown brand. EMS / ELECTRONICS / ICE: - APEXi Power-FC, R32/R33 GTR D-Jetro (map sensors) with in-cab FC Commander - BCU+ Electronic Boost Ctrl, Boost/Vac reading, Hi/Lo (15/20 psi) boost, Hi/Lo gain, voltage, turbo timer etc same as a Greddy Profec-B Spec II - EONON 4x50w Single DIN Headunit, DVD/MP3 etc - Kicker 2x 15" subs, in sealed enclosure - ALPINE Monoblock sub AMP, not currently hooked up... voltage supply was reused for dedicated fuel pump wiring - Alarm, multipoint immobiliser and GSM alarm pager, top of the line, best alarm install I have ever seen. Siren has died, prob due to water ingress. GSM pager works fine -Blue LED dash and aircon module lights (matches EBC and headunit) - Full sized battery, installed mid year - Digital Speedo/Tacho corrector, Jaycar kits. Retains the original cluster (and km's!) and as a result of using the Power-FC spliced into a hybrid R33 GTR/Series 2 Stagea loom, the tacho and speedo was out considerably. They are now spot on, comes with instructions so you can easily adjust up or down as required. Speed has been matched to GPS unit/s. DRIVELINE: - R32 GTR front and rear diffs with Redline Lightweight Shockproof oil (changed @ 101K km) - R32 GTR 5 sp gearbox/transfer case with Redline Lightweight Shockproof oil and Castrol Transmax-Z respectively (changed @ 101K km) - Manual conversion from Auto, R32 pedal box installed - Stock Stagea crown gear ratio kept - 6 bolt halfshafts - OS Giken Triple Plate clutch, fitted Mar 12 (this is a really nice clutch) - R34 GTR Brembos and discs, front and rear - Atessa-ETS flushed and filled with Castrol Transmax-Z (changed @ 101K km) WHEELS / TYRES / SUSPENSION: - Voltec 18x9 Rims, lots of dish, gutter rash on all - 245/35 ZR18 Kumho Ku36 Ecsta XS Semi Slicks, pretty much at TWI across the tread - 15mm NEO-TECH FR spacers. There's enough clearance now that you would get 265/35R18 tyres on all four corners for next set of rubber - Adjustable Whiteline FR camber bushes and unknown brand castor arms - Adjustable NEO-TECH RR camber arms - Heavy Duty Whiteline swaybars, Fr and RR, blade, adjustable - Unknown brand aftermarket springs, FR and RR (~6 and 5ish kg/mm rate going by seat of pants) - Original shocks, they're getting tired, but last check I had done at Pedders (~100K km) shows them still maintaining good firm damping - R33 GTR Space Saver spare tyre in boot, clears Brembo's so you are not left on the side of the road - Set at FR- Camber: -1 deg, Castor: ~6 deg, Toe: neutral. RR- Camber: ~-0.5 deg, Toe: neutral STYLING ETC: - Gloss Black full respray (from what I can tell, it's been resprayed black over a Silver Metallic respray, over the Blue Pearl factory paint) - Twin factory sunroof's !! - Full MASA Motorsports R34 GTR front end conversion kit - MASA Motorsports side and rear skirts - De-roofracked with full length fibreglass blanking covers - Coffee Table rear spoiler removed, for that clean/classy look - Completely debadged - Carbonfibre Bonnet, painted gloss black to match car. No need to draw unwanted police attention... no ADR's for any carbonfibre bonnets! - Full leather interior, including doorcard inserts, with "Custom" grey/yellow... I know, it was like that when I bought it, each to their own I guess - Cargo blind - Cargo net/barrier THE REALITY CHECKS: - The tyres need to be replaced, they are at the TWI's and are a little bit skatey. Nice for all wheel drifting, but not good in the wet. I am selling as is to give the buyer the choice of their next set of rubber. It would be heresy/stupid/dangerous to put Nankangs or Nexen junk on this car. If the buyer demands new tyres, guess what quality of tyre they are going to get... - This car is an excellent sleeper. I have NEVER been pulled over by the cops in this car in the 4 years I've owned it. The lack of ricer boy rear wing, painted bonnet and not having it too low helps immensely. - Fuel economy. This is equivalent to a V8, around 15 L/100km. In previous tune I have achieved a 10L/100km tank on the Pacific Highway. Current tune provides much better midrange but uses more fuel. Best you would get would prob be around 12-13L/100km. Let's face it, you don't buy these cars for their fuel economy. If you are worried about it, go and buy a Prius/Corolla/other underpowered, uninspired piece of junk. D-jetro has less resolution than std AFM and as such can use more fuel if you boot it all the time. - Rose/Spherical joints. The adjustable suspension arms use rose/spherical joints. they are not rubber, they are metal on metal and transmit NVH. They also suffer considerably faster wear rates than rubber or poly bushes. You will need to treat these as routine inspection items and replace them as required. I got 2.5 years out of my first set of RR adjustable camber arms.- Boost/Power. The car hits 20 psi at 4000rpm and 15 psi at about 3700rpm. At 4000rpm its output is 230kW on Hi boost and 190kW on Lo boost. Max pwr of 308.7kW is at 5800 rpm. Dyno printouts available. - Body/Paint. This car is in good condition paint and body wise. The fibreglass front end has a couple of small cracks, but is completely structural. There are the usual stone chips on the front bar and a small scrape on the RR passenger skirt. Rust has been repaired under the passenger side mirror. The driver’s side weather shield was stolen. This car is NOT a showcar. This has been my daily driver for the past 4 years over which time I have put around 30,000km on it. - Station Wagons. Are practical as all hell. Last weekend I put 2 sheets of 1.2mx1.2m plywood in the back of it to build my daughter a sandpit. Good luck doing that in any sedan/hatch/coupe. I've used the load space in the back to carry all sorts of gear, and it is very handy. I also use this car to carry my daughter in her car seat/capsule. Decent room so is family/dog friendly. - Swaps. I am not interested in swaps or trades. - Rego. Is due at the end of Nov 12. Aside from the tyres being at TWI, there are no problems for annual pink slips. The N1 block installed in Mar has already had the change of Engine Number recorded via Blue Slip at the RTA. - Spares. Over several mini and major builds, I have accumulated a large store of performance GTR parts, such as n1 turbo's, complete highmount N1 twin turbo kit, coilpacks, Stagea Tein Coilovers, Sard 800cc injectors, spare Apexi Power-FC D-Jetro with hand controller, etc. If you were interested in buying and had your eye on some spares... I am sure we can come to an arrangement. If I haven't already sold them! - Documentation. As mentioned before, I have it. I even have the compliance paperwork and deregistration papers from Japan. I do not have a Car Handbook from the compliance workshop. But do have all of the FSM's for the various R32-R34 Skyline GTR variants PRICE: I am asking for $27,800. (neg) OR $28,000 with shitty chinese junk/second hand decent tread tyres. If you can buy a more complete, better performance, better modified Stagea/wagon for less. Then don't bother reading further, go and buy it. Seriously, the amount of money that has been poured into this car is ridiculous, and if you wanted to build your own similar car from scratch, you would be looking at well over $45K CONTACT: If you are genuinely interested in the car, please give me a call, Pete, on 0429 001 875. If I do not answer, please leave a message and I'll get back to you. Car is in the Penrith area for your reference. Happy to deal interstate as well. BUY MY CAR ! you know you want it.
