Hi everybody, (Hi doctor Nick) it has been a while since i have been on the forums and some of the new faces might not know me, but some of you know me and my R32. You also might know my 2nd gear synchro was in less than average condition and by the sounds of it has exploded in my gearbox.... Whoops. Believe it or not, it was just driving normally when it happened, which I find hilarious!!!! So I am need of a good condition or better, RB20/R32 gearbox ASAP. I was hoping to get some ideas from fellow stagea owners what might be the problem with my 1999 Stagea. I have the 2 wheel drive version with the tiptronic auto transmission. Lately it is very under powered on take-off, especially up hills. Like it's slipping The A/T light flashes several times when turning the key to the on position before starting it. I'm not too sure how many times it flashes but will check next time as I think this relates to a fault code? I know I need to take it to the mechanics but would like some helpful advice first. Hi I need the help of someone who has removed a GTR box before. I have gotten to the stage of removing the box, however when I got to rotate the box, to lower the starter motor bump I can only rotate 20-30 degrees. Then the box starts to bind up in the tunnel with the box starting to hit on the left side and the metal where the gear selector hole is on the right. The guides indicate to rotate from anywhere from 45 to upside down. Do I need to lower the box/engine more? If so how far, do you just let it drop until it stops wanting to drop? Also do you undo engine mounts or is only undoing the intercooler pipes required? Thank you for anyone that can assist. Peter

Hi guys, really needing some assistance on this one.. Excuse my poor explaining but here we go Basically i jump in the car and turn it on handbrake off clutch in engage reverse (BRRRRRRRR Begins) Slide back into neutral (BRRRRRR Continues) Slide clutch back out (Noise stops completely.) The same noise will also stop BRRRRR-ing once the car begins to move in gear, whether it be 1st or Reverse. Seems to happen most when the car is cold (whether this is related or not im not sure but its when i noticed it.) Incredibly stumped on this one, Uploader wouldnt let me upload windows media player files so i posted it on youtube and ill throw the link in the box too. Any help is greatly appreciated. And ill readily be checking the thread to answer more questions thanks guys~~!

Hi All, This may be a little off topic for this section of the forum but I figured this would be the place to find people that know what they are talking about. I have recently purchased a G37 6 speed gearbox from a wrecker in Miami and they have arranged freight for this to Brisbane. Today I received a call from the freight agent to let me know it is due to arrive next week. I believe I need to arrange the customs clearance forms or whatever is required to release the parts to me. Now the dutiable value of the gearbox is well under the threshold ($600AUD approx). Does anyone know from experience what I will need to do or am I best using a customs broker? Regards Jamie

Purchased my r33 just under two weeks ago, all is good except recently i've noticed it's really difficult to put the car into 1st gear and reverse at times especially when the car is rolling (obviously i dont put it in reverse while rolling forward) i'm not sure if its always keen like this or if i've only just realised.

As topic states. R33 gearbox fully rebuilt with PAR gearset 1-4 straight cut syncro engage. Gearbox built by mr transmissions and is less than 500km old. Have receipt for 5500k also in GTR bellhousing NPC twin plate billet clutch and flywheel. The top of the line clutch that NPC has I believe. It's less than 100km old. Have receipt for 2500 I also have all the other parts of the manual conversion out of a VL if buyer wants them with sale or I'll sell them separately The lot $6000 FIRM WILL NOT BUDGE 8000k worth of receipts all the gear is LIKE NEW All the gear is inside the cAr and will be removed in one afternoon when there is a buyer. Hey all, Just removed from my Cefiro due to power upgrades (and hence, gearbox upgrade). Includes clutch slave, fork, throw-out bearing etc, short shifter. A little history. Bought as SR20 package from JDM garage just over 2 years ago, had just been brought in from Japan. I have been using redline oil in the gearbox and a regular organic type clutch. Has only seen a handful of drifting sessions in my ownership, spent the rest of the time parked up in the garage (this car is not driven on the road). Purchased and fitted a C's short shifter recently. Haven't had any problems with crunchy synchros or missed gears, even after fitting the short shifter. I think I also have a nismo 5 speed H pattern sticker to throw in, so you can avoid defect if your shift knob doesn't have the pattern on it. Also have a few shift knobs sitting around I can include if you are interested. I'm asking $550. Pick up from Bayside area. Please PM me for details. Thanks, Luke

Hey all I recently blew the auto in my r33, stupid me by my stake I bought a re5r01a by mistake (rare 5spd automatic) found in some non turbo r33's and r32's also in v series skylines and v8 infinitys, they are a good box with better gears down low for extra launch, for example the standard 4 speed (re4r01a) gear ratios are on the left and 5 speed on the right 1: 2.785 - 3.857 2: 1.545 - 2.140 3: 1.000 - 1.384 4: 0.694 - 1.000 5: - 0.694 As you can see top gear in each are the same and I'm guess both over drives are the same, Want it gone as I have no need for it, make an offer! Hey guys, After buying a shell then selling it to another person before I moved my parts over I am wrecking my car. Its a R32 4 Door with RB26 heavily modified with a RB25 gear box etc... Was making above 500hp with twins at high boost. Engine was recently run and still purrs like a kitten. Anyway check the parts list as it will be updated often (as I gain spare for parts). Have a Working GTR gearbox was pulled from a R32, had No issues was going to keep as spare. but sold clutch and have r34 box in car. $900 ono Hks Accuators for stock/n1/hks/garrett turbos (Pair) $220 Braided lines for stock/n1/hks/garrett turbos. was bought from Uk about 4 years ago still new never installed. $150 Evo Rs Lsd rear end. includes everything required to remove the Ayc shit out of the rear end and install Lsd.
