Hi, am after a decent tuner recommendation you have personally used that has done a good job and you would refer me to please. I have used ChipTorque Nerang on the WRX in the past (with excellent results) but would like to hear from you. This is for a confirmatory tune for R32 with RB20DET and Power FC (which was already tuned in Darwin) as I have just swapped all the good bits from the Drift car into the road car. Thanks in advance. Well time has come to put old faithful up for sale. Have a basically brand new Apexi Power FC with EL Hand Controller up for sale Power FC was in the car for about a week or two. Thought I had an issue with the ECU but turned out to be car related, then decided my new engine might be better suited to a Link G4 so went in that direction, I'd been tossing up on a G4 for a while Nothing wrong with the Power FC or hand controller. Hi All, In the last couple of weeks and mainly since our cold Melbourne mornings I'm getting the hand brake dash light staying on in my R33. Sometimes the light will turn off immediately after the hand brake is released then will turn on again after several seconds, but mostly it will remain on until the engine has been running for 10-15 minutes. For the rest of the day it will continue indicating correctly. Now i'm wondering if this light might be used to indicate any other car related issues? I do have a power fc but as far as im aware it only uses the engine light for sensor maxing and the rest of the warning lights should act as they did with the OEM ECU. The car doesn't appear to be driving any different than normal, and it may very well be just a faulting switch on the hand brake. But this starts to seem unlikely when as mentioned early sometimes it does go off as it should then turns on again (without touching the hand brake) Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

As there are many Power FC models - I'm trying to get a breakdown of the way Apexi released their serial numbers. So far I have found: PFC RB26 XXX-XXX (Older Power FC's) PFC GTR33 XXX-XXXX (Standard Type - Less Recent) PFC GTR33L XXX-XXXX (For L-Jetro normal version Power FC) PFC GTR33D XXX-XXXX (For D-Jetro Type) Obviously PFC = Power FC RB26, GTR33, GTR33L, GTR33D = Car/Engine fitting type But what are the 3 and 4 digits after that? If anyone knows this information and what each bank/number signifies exactly or can shed better light on the topic would be much appreciated.

Hey all, I have a 2001 R34 GT-T that I recently modified with the following.. • HKS GT-RS • Z32 AFM • Deatchwerks 600cc Injec. • APEXI Power FC • Apexi panel Filter • Bosch040 Fuel Pump • Blitz SE Intercooler • Splitfire Coil Packs • Exedy sports Clutch • HKS EVC 6 Boost Controller • NGK Plat. Plugs The help I'm chasing is where to go from here? I made 250rwkw on pump 98, however I was hoping for a little more. I've been researching thoroughly however I'm currently at a bit of a loss. The car is extremely responsive and that's what I was going for when planning these upgrades, I don't want to lose that.. I'm looking into type B pon cams, and it's my understanding, with the turbo selection I'm right on the boarder of type A vs type B.. Also looking into e85, however I know this will require fuel system upgrades.. Can anyone recommend anything else I'm missing? I've seen a few 33gts-t's on this forum supposedly making 300kw with this turbo and was hoping to get closer to that.. Any suggestions are welcome, Cheers.

So I have an R34 GTT with many mods: Apexi PFC w/ commander/datalogit, GReddy Profec Type S EBC, GReddy Intake manifold and fuel rail, RC 1000cc injectors, Massive Precision Turbo, Tial WG, FMIC, HKS SSQV, Aeromotive FPR, AEM Wideband, 3" Turbo-back Apexi exhaust, NGK BKR7ES-11's regapped at .030. On to my problem...... I've had the car now for about a month and a half and have been constantly working out the bugs. First was a new center section for the turbo due to an apparently recent rebuild that didn't include a thorough hot tanking and left bits of metal shavings in the oil feed line that led to blown seals and bearings. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have harmed any other parts of the engine yet, I have ran several quarts of oil through in an effort to remove the machining leftovers. Next came proper PCV/ catch can installation and hose routing seeing as how it only had valve cover breather filters and an unhooked PCV valve, as well as an un-plumbed AAC valve that was sucking in unmetered air. Also replaced the O2 sensor and saw a dramatic increase in fuel mileage as AFR's. However, once all of these things were replaced and repaired I noticed that the car did not want to pull as hard as before and that even though the idle was more stable at 1000-1100rpms it did not want to stay running if I let it idle for too long. And as of now the car won't start at all. I've checked all of the usual suspects: AFM, New plugs AGAIN, no vac leaks, fuel pump is working great and have great fuel pressure. I am thinking it is my CAS, but not sure because if I take it out and spin it I can hear the fuel pump run and the injectors clicking. BUT when watching the FC Commander it only shows the car getting 4-7 degrees of timing under cranking. As well as when hooked up to Datalogit it wants to sit at 6000 load cell also while cranking. Im not sure why it is not getting more ignition timing while I am cranking it. My tuner is even scratching his head as to why the car won't start. Im guessing part of it is due to not being able to see the start up cranking ignition tables on the Datalogit screen and even by altering the whole map to 40 degrees it still only read 4-7 on the commander!?! Oh and the boost control kit setting is turned off as well as I have re-initialized the Com twice and re-loaded the map to no avail. Sorry for my super long first post on the site, but I am at my wits end on this one and USA forum support is a little lacking when it comes to this one. . Any help would be greatly appreciated! As topic says, my car has started being a bit strange. I was going through the R33 workshop manual and stumbled accross the procedure for setting idle and thought I'd check it. So unplugged one of the TPS plugs (manual says to do so, I always thought it was one of the AAC plugs you were supposed to disconnect) and anyway, ended up unplugging both and had the car idling for a bit, didnt seem to make a difference to the idle so plugged the TPS back in then all of a sudden my VCT started clicking on and off continually at idle. Now it clicks off then about 1 second later clicks back on then stays on for 2-3 seconds then does it all over. Keeps doing it. Thought this was a bit weird but anyway took it for a drive and gentle driving around the VCT was staying on so I thought it wasnt a big deal Then went for a drive and on downshifts it has no fuel cut on decel till it hits 2000rpm or so. and even then its unstable comes and goes I played with the tune but set it back to how it was before I started and the only other thing I did was unplug the TPS plugs and plugged them back in (while running) Anyone have any ideas? So details: 1994 R33 GTST Power FC usually supporting mods HKS GT2835KAI If I unplug the TPS plug (on the wires not on the actual TPS) the VCT stops clicking on and off, but I'm guessing this is the plug that tells the ECU when VCT should be on or off any ideas would be great

I am looking for a tuning map for a R33 GTR running a Apexi Power FC. Will be using a laptop for the tunning. My GTR has had the following installed: Garret 2860-7 with HKS Actuators 9:1 CP Pistons 4 inch exaust from the Cat Its running stock injectors, fuel pump ect. I am just looking for a map that has the correct details to work from, obviously every car is different and needs fine tuning. I have searched SAU and while there are some great tips (Looking at you Paul), I haven't found any actual map files. Any help would be appriciated.
