  2. My current project car is a '92 Supercharged MX5, I've been building it over the past 5 years but sadly its time to move on. Like most, my dream car is an R34, a GTR will always be out of my price range but I would certainly be happy with a GTT. I'd decided the MX5 would be stripped and sold in September when the insurance expires and then start the search for a clean R34. I wouldnt be a true car enthusiast if i wasn't already looking for cars on the interweb with this decision in mind. My fingers were starting to hurt after refreshing various selling and auction sites here and Japan too often. One car I kept being drawn back to was a white Series 2. It ticked all the boxes for what i was looking for, except it was the facelift front bumper that was preventing me from looking deeper into the details. So i messaged the seller and asked for a few more details and photos, very quick responses and the amount of photos asked on request was overwhelming. Was it worth the 7hr round trip to go look at it, to potentially not like it? If it was as clean as it was in the photos, something major must have had been up with it if i was to walk away. Luckily this wasn't the case, infact the car was even better in person. After a test drive and a good poke around i really couldnt fault the car except for a knock on the driver side rear. So with an offer made he accepted and I drove away extremely happy! The 170ish mile drive home was faultless and i look forward to digging in and putting my own stamp on it. It would have been rude to not get some photos, especially with the MX5 Nissan Skyline R34 GTT Series 2 RB25DET NEO 6 Manual Transmission Imported in 2016 by IBE Cars in Huddersfield,UK Resprayed in original Pearl White in 2017 Its stock except for a custom turbo back exhaust, HKS mushroom filter and aftermarket stereo
  3. R34 GTT Window Rubber/Seal/Moulding/Glazing Replacement? Hi guys I'm busy trying to restore my R34 GTT to immaculate condition. I want to replace the rubber seal that goes on the windscreen at the bottom. I looks dried up from the sun and caused it to warp and break. I've attached photos. I would like to know where I can get my hands on something like this as I would like to replace it. Also, on the driver and passenger window upper seals, there seems to be a line of glue that was left behind from previous owners putting wind deflector/visor guards on it. How would I get this off the rubber? Also, there seems to be a huge gap between the rubber and the frame. Is that normal on R34s? Could I just replace it? And how would you restore all the rubber seals so it looks brand new? Thanks

  7. Hi guys.I want you,as being a long time members of this community and experienced owners of that Skyline stuff, to tell me what you recommend for aftermarket single plate clutch which is soft/light/smooth/comfortable for private/street use for R34 RB26DETT which is currently available to buy. Thanks in advance for replies.
  8. Hi guys.I want to ask, can stock MFD cooperate with change to single turbo T04Z with aftermarket ECU ( in my case: european Ecumaster Emu classic :https://www.ecumaster.com/products/emu-classic/). I don't want to use additional gauges.I want to stick with electronic screen display.Or is it possible to make a cooperation between aftmrkt ECU and mfd.? Some say,Nismo MFD can bare that stuff with aftermarket ECUs,but still as far as Nismo MFD is hard to get,i want to know in the first place, can the primary one can handle this. Thanks in advance for replies.
  9. Hey guys, I have for sale an LS1 swap kit for an R34 Skyline. I originally bought it for my 25GT as an alternative to buying a turbo model but unfortunately the kit outlived the car and I've since moved on to a Silvia so have no need for this stuff any more. The kit is top-notch quality made by Fueled Racing in Phoenix, Arizona, guys did an absolutely amazing job putting this thing together. Comes with everything you'd reasonably need to fit an LS1, including headers, engine mounts, custom oil pan, transmission mounts and a single-piece drive shaft, as well as a few other odds and ends. The kit makes use of an S-chassis k-frame for better oil pan clearance and is backed by a 4L60E automatic transmission. Have a tonne of emails from the guys at Fueled detailing the ins and outs of the kit that can be provided if you need but the kit is mostly self-explanatory,what you see is what you get. Unsure as to whether the kit can be utilised in other vehicles, might fit an R33 or Stagea if you're lucky but buy at your own risk. Headers should in theory bolt up to most LS models but can't confirm this. I'm located in Melbourne, Victoria, local pick-up is preferred but can probably organise shipping at buyer's expense. Chasing $3800 but am open to negotiation, would rather not split up the kit if I can help it but hit me up and we can work something out.
  10. 11. Hey all! Just a fellow petrolhead from Canada. I've owned a 1994 Nissan Silvia S14 (Yes JDM), and currently own a 2005 Honda S2000. Honestly, this might be a long shot, but the reason I signed up was to try and find someone on here (or point me in the right direction) to rent (hire) a Bayside Blue R34 GTR. I'll be in Australia for a month (Brisbane area, Melbourne area for the most part) and would love to drive my dream car on the Great Ocean Drive (or a similar road. Iam willing to pay money. Even if i'm just a passenger i'm ok with that, but i would prefer to drive if possible. Cheers!! Bryce P
  12. R34 GTR MFD - Throttle Percentage Unstable/Erratic Hey Guys, I have noticed during the last few weeks that the MFD throttle percentage display has been noticeably erratic in which the readout is jumping +/- 3 or so percent (flashing almost) while the throttle is steady. I replaced the TPS and the problem continues. While the car is not running but in 'On'/'Accessory' Mode the readout is smooth and steady with no fluctuations at all. Does anyone know of a fix/solution? Any help is appreciated, Cheers Nick.
  13. Hello guys, I am from europe and I recently imported a Skyline r33 gtr. Right now the car is equipped with HKS Super Drager Muffler. My question is: Is it possible to create an angled exit with this Muffler by welding a pice into it? And will it affect the sound quality of the car? BR
  14. Hey SAU, Thought it was about time that I started a thread for my build which has been happening over the last 3-4 years I think. There have been some set backs and some highs/lows as pretty much every person has probably experienced. THE BEGINNING I purchased the car with the help of Iron Chef Imports. Fresh from Japan and the exact colour that I wanted. The car is a R34 GTT Series 2 (2000 model), it was imported with just over 90,000km on the clock and a few little imperfections. I was pretty happy because the price was reasonable and it also came with a complete set of SE37 rims, which can fetch a good penny. The ownership didn't get off to a great start, as the car was imported and took roughly 9 months until it was finally in my hands. It sat at the compliance shop for around 6-7 months of that time as I waited and waited. This was probably the most stressful part of the ownership of this car. To know that the car was only a few hours away from me and just sitting locked up for so long was a killer. Iron Chef did as much as they could but unfortunately there was some sticky situation going on at compliance which meant it couldn't be released to me. So there it sat gather dust. Finally the day came and I was told to go and pick the car up and pretty much GTFO, I had my Aunty and Uncle pick the car up for me and they had an argument with the owner at the shop as the car was received with bald tyres and headlights that didn't work. They had been audited during that 6-7 months and blamed it on me because they thought I was complaining with the compliance registry place. I went up to Sydney and picked the car up and finally it was at home. Just in time for me to head off to NZ for 4 months for work haha. Took a snap before putting it in the garage and packing her away for another 4 months. Met some awesome people over in NZ and managed to meet up with a SAU member Adam. He was nice enough to drive over and pick me up from the hotel and we went on a cruise with some like-minded people. Everyone was very welcoming, took a fair few photos. Below are a couple. After returning from NZ, the build and collection of parts begins. Creating a new post for that part.

  18. Custom gauge fit R34 GTT only! Hey guys, I've been requested to do a DIY on the gauge install in my GTT. ill try to include as much info as possible!! BTW i don't take any responsibility for anyone's attempts and if you damage anything you have no one but yourself to blame. Now, We've all seen setups when the aftermarket gauges are just jammed in, honestly that would drive me up the wall. To remove the factory gauge cover holder - pop out center vents located under factory gauges, use a plastic popping tool not a screwdriver. unplug hazard light - two screws hold the gauge pod in, after undoing these you can lift the unit and you'll find one connector for all three gauges - on the inside, two screws hold the gauges inside the pod Once separated this is what you're left with - Remove the 6 screws on the front to take off the plastic cover - I cant remember how many screws hold the actual gauges, remove them all - Now that its separated, this is whats left. - Next step is to pull the aftermarket gauges apart. These are shadow (defi copy) 60mm - Using a tiny flat blade, had to bend out the bezel edge so the face could be removed Bezel, Glass and gauge pulled apart 60mm gauges are a snug fit, all i did was align, pressure fit all three and hot glue holds it all together Power, Earth, ACC and Illumination all can be tapped from original harness from memory To finish it off, i ordered a new plastic face from Nissan. think it was about $40 AUD Final Assembly! Enjoy!
  19. Hey guys, been trawling through every forum trying to find diagrams and pictures to help with wiring an auto to manual conversion for my R34 GTT. Have done everything apart from wiring. I have read a thread but had no pictures. Think I've done all the gearbox wiring correctly, however, struggling to find the inhibitor switch. Anyone who's done this should be able to help me? Some are saying inhibitor switch is by the fuse box but still unsure? Thanks in advance.
  20. Hi everyone, my name is Dmitry, I have a Nissan Skyline R34 GTT coupe. I am actually from Russia. the other day I made gas shock absorbers for the hood, I saw that for some reason this topic has long been raised here on your forum, but, as I understand it, it did not go beyond the scope of thought. in the end, I did according to my ideas, and I did it perfectly. Sorry for the quality of the photo, later I will make a video on the installation and post the video on youtube. If someone is interested in such a device, then write comments, while I did it only on p34, later I will make a video on installation and add a video on youtube. if anyone is interested in such a device, then write comments, while I was doing only on r34

  23. Hey everyone, Had a look through the forums and can't seem to find an answer. Recent swapped my Rb25det + gear box into a new shell, got it all running fine but the gear box won't hold the uneven gears (1,3&5) I can't hold the shifter in the gear and it drives fine but as soon as I let go of the shifter it pops straight out. Anyone had a similar issue?
  24. $200 firm. Nothing wrong with it at all, just a bit scratched and discoloured. Used for less than 7000km. Has an O2 sensor bung. Excellent cat that provides the best flow from a large body and 100 cell."304 GRADE STAINLESS STEEL3" INLET/OUTLET5" BODY 100CPSIDIRECT BOLT ONTO SUIT - NISSAN R34 GT-T Coupe (not really sure what else it fits)VENOM EXHAUST WORKS would like to introduce their bolt on range of High Flow Cats to suit Nissan Skyline R34 GT-Ts. This Bolt-on cat is our new 500 Series unit which comprises of a 5" Body Cat (3" in/out) with a 100CPSI substrate for uncompromised flow. It will bolt up to the R34 GT-T if the cat is in the factory position with 3" Pipework. The High Flow Cat on this piece is also our latest design where the metallic substrate, as well as being welded to the casing, is also welded along the inner edges for extra strength, helping to prevent core substrate shift. The piece is also made from 304 Grade Stainless for long lasting durability.Turbocharged cars are more sensitive to exhaust restrictions than their NA counterparts, so by replacing the factory catalytic converter on your Nissan with a high flow unit, the result will be an increase in power, increased boost pressure and response, as well as giving your car the ability to build more boost earlier in the rev range. The standard catalytic converter is only a 400CPSI design and features a ceramic substrate. Not only can it not flow the necessary amount to support higher power at efficient boost levels, the ceramic substrate is much weaker in design than a metal core cat.The 5" Body Cat listed here supports more flow and can withstand higher operating temperatures than the smaller 4.25" 400 Series Version, making it ideal for vehicles with more extensive modifications" Located SE VIC 0433543344
  25. Disclaimer, I don't excuse myself for my behavior. I'll split this up into two parts, Before kids and after kids. Cause that's what'll stop you building kiddos. Children. You like cars? Unless you are swimming in cash; WEAR A f**kING CONDOM. (My 4 children are my blessing, I wouldn't have it any way; Just giving real advice) So a good half a decade or probably more, I purchased an R34 GTT. Always been a S chassis boy prior, Wanted to do a big power SR20 skidder with an RB box behind it...Till I drove a big power SR. They ain't exactly fun, So can only get so much out of 2.0L and 4 cylinders before it becomes a shit car to drive. Then thought about RB converting my 180 at the time, Put the pen to paper and decided the wiser move would be to just buy a Skyline. At the time, Japanese cars were still cheap and Tracy Grimshaw's head didn't have so much girth. (What a mad word.) So I bought an R34 GTT. Seemed like the right choice at the time for someone who wanted a big power skidder. Motor was healthy with perfect comp, Cleaned it up and sent it for a nistune with Toshi. During the process we found the car had a Link G4 ECU; Winning! She made a healthy 190RWKW with the standard snail on 98. Can't remember the boost guys, But don't bother doing this with a standard OP6 turbo; It'll shatter as I found out laying a good 2nd for the boys, Cause you DDTB nomsayin? So after the f**k about on that, I got motivated to build that drift car. Kept it real simple; - 1000cc Injectors, Kinugawa TD06 W a Garret 60-1, Walbro 460 In-tank pump and E85. Got Mick's Motorspot involved for the tune. She made 310RWKW like a baws. I through on a full adjustable steering kit and sat the car on some Blitz ZZR coilovers. I have purchased pretty much all coil overs for my vehicles over the years; For the couple extra quid; Get the Blitz ZZR's. They ride perfect in every way I want. Soft, But not too soft. Firm enough to feel the road. Good travel and handles well when the car's weight is shifted around suddenly. Got some basic aesthetics for the car. Remember kids, OEM+ wins. (Phone camera's also got good). First off. I know. I fuggin know. Dat seat height. I'm a big boy. This thing was a blast to drive, I can't remember what year it was but I was going to try taking my drifting more seriously (Yes. I was going to skid this thing. How f**king insane is income when you don't have children) but then the head lifted from my go happy right foot and the missus pregnancy test showed positive... Which contrary to what I initially thought; Positive does not mean all good. What a shit time for something like this to happen! I'll never get the car done! And so she got put into the shed (Considered selling a few times but couldn't) and our friend Tracy... Well she got kinda popular among us. The police started to bully us. Defect stations were everywhere. Every "Mitsubishi WRX" was on today tonight getting defected. Now I am not saying that I am directly responsible for Sydney's lock-out laws, But last time you could have a good night at The Cross with bag'n'the boys; This car was running. Co-incidence? I think not.
