  1. Hey guys, been trawling through every forum trying to find diagrams and pictures to help with wiring an auto to manual conversion for my R34 GTT. Have done everything apart from wiring. I have read a thread but had no pictures. Think I've done all the gearbox wiring correctly, however, struggling to find the inhibitor switch. Anyone who's done this should be able to help me? Some are saying inhibitor switch is by the fuse box but still unsure? Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi guys, I just came across a complete front subframe assembly for an r34, the title of the ad just says r34 so I’m presuming it’s a coupe. I have an R33 at home and was wondering if the r34 front subframe assembly will bolt straight into the r33. Im looking to do this with relatively little modification of its needed, also does anyone know if it will throw off the geometry of the car or if it’s okay to be doing this.   3. My current project car is a '92 Supercharged MX5, I've been building it over the past 5 years but sadly its time to move on. Like most, my dream car is an R34, a GTR will always be out of my price range but I would certainly be happy with a GTT. I'd decided the MX5 would be stripped and sold in September when the insurance expires and then start the search for a clean R34. I wouldnt be a true car enthusiast if i wasn't already looking for cars on the interweb with this decision in mind. My fingers were starting to hurt after refreshing various selling and auction sites here and Japan too often. One car I kept being drawn back to was a white Series 2. It ticked all the boxes for what i was looking for, except it was the facelift front bumper that was preventing me from looking deeper into the details. So i messaged the seller and asked for a few more details and photos, very quick responses and the amount of photos asked on request was overwhelming. Was it worth the 7hr round trip to go look at it, to potentially not like it? If it was as clean as it was in the photos, something major must have had been up with it if i was to walk away. Luckily this wasn't the case, infact the car was even better in person. After a test drive and a good poke around i really couldnt fault the car except for a knock on the driver side rear. So with an offer made he accepted and I drove away extremely happy! The 170ish mile drive home was faultless and i look forward to digging in and putting my own stamp on it.   4. So my question today for you guys is, and after looking everywhere I couldn't find anything. I'm really wanting to add a Chassis Mount Spoiler to my ER34 (GTT). Does anyone know where I can get one, which is compatible with the skyline, and if it even is possible. And if anyone has even done it. Thank you in advance.

  6. Hey all, just doing a +t conversion to my 25de R34 coupe. Just hoping someone might be able to help me out with what sort of kw/psi I would be able to push through the de without sending a rod to the moon. I got a pretty stock kit off a DET with a few upgraded bits. - All factory piping, intercooler, fuel rail, intake mani and throttle body, exhaust mani, 3" dump through to xforce exhaust. - High-flowed factory turbo (20psi) - Bosch 1000cc injectors - Apexi FC with controller I know a det can push 500rwhp without upgrading internals but cause of higher comp in the DE I don't know what I should be pushing out of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I would still like to daily it but have a fair bit of go if I put the foot down. Thankyou all

Hey I'm looking for help with my climate control module. when I bought the car the clock was cycling through minutes like they were seconds and had thought that maybe the buttons that change the time were stuck pushed down. I never found a way to fix it and now the hours are doing the same thing, just constantly changing. However when this problem started the controls stopped working. I can press mode and change the direction of where the airflow will come out of, but I cant actually turn my air con on. I opened it up and everything visually looks ok on the board (nothing burnt out) and I don't know of any other ways to fix it. Id preferably not have to buy a new one but if there is no fix I guess ill have to. Any advice is welcome
  9. Complete big brake kit - black - with original pads excellent condition, used for maybe 2000kms, taken complete off GTR should be bolt on. These were purchased new many years ago - but car was stored. Taken off the car last week. stoptech st40 front st22 rear slotted vaned rotors Including pads that have very little wear I do need to add more pictures -- will do so soon. Hey guys and girls I have been looking into fitting a T56 6 speed manual gearbox or TR606 to my R33 GTR I have carried out allot of research I have found out RWD conversions are possible and have been done but no one has done a AWD conversion that I have been able to find. I think this could be a viable and cost effective option for people who are looking for a quiet street able gearbox which is capable of handling high HP. Now the cost for a setup like this could range from $6000 to $8000 that is a estimate at this stage the first unit would more than likely be more expensive but with more interest these costs could fall The T56 Magnum would probably be the gearbox of choice as it is the strongest syco box they do Able to withstand a massive 700 lb-ft. of torque while providing unbelievably crisp shifts, no other manual transmission on the planet offers as much combined strength, versatility, and general ease-of-use as the T-56 Magnum. Known in its original equipment form as the 'TR-6060', the Magnum is an aftermarket version of the same transmission found in many of today's most celebrated factory super cars – including the ZR1 Corvette and ACR Viper – giving you refinement where you want it and strength where it counts. Other positives about these gearboxes are gear sets PPG have dog configurations and sequential setups for the more hardcore drivers. I personally wouldn’t see the point all you would do is fit a PPG setup to the factory 5 speed. The bell housing is also allot larger this may offer GTR owners more clutch options more surface area and the possibility to run a nicer street able clutch (sprung centre) The biggest positive is retaining the 4WD and for me that the game changer. This isn't set in stone as yet, I am looking for advice and wisdom there is a huge amount of knowledge on this forum and would love to hear your thoughts and comments thanks for your time Frosty

  13. I've seen a few posts similar to this, and in all of them the comments are full of people bagging the idea of putting a roof rack on a sling, to this I say, my car my life. I am currently looking to get the genuine roof racks for an r34 sedan, my car still has the mounts on the roof and as I live in the country and travel a lot it will suit my needs. I've been unable to find any and just want to be pointed in the right direction or even want to buy some. I will attach photos of the mounts. The closest thing I've found is an old Japanese catalogue with the r33 ones listed.
  14. Long story short, rolled into a saftey pole and my front lip cracked into two seperate piece. Is it better for me to get a professional quote for a fix, or is it relatively simply enough and with some paitences to fix it myself.

  16. R34 GTT Window Rubber/Seal/Moulding/Glazing Replacement? Hi guys I'm busy trying to restore my R34 GTT to immaculate condition. I want to replace the rubber seal that goes on the windscreen at the bottom. I looks dried up from the sun and caused it to warp and break. I've attached photos. I would like to know where I can get my hands on something like this as I would like to replace it. Also, on the driver and passenger window upper seals, there seems to be a line of glue that was left behind from previous owners putting wind deflector/visor guards on it. How would I get this off the rubber? Also, there seems to be a huge gap between the rubber and the frame. Is that normal on R34s? Could I just replace it? And how would you restore all the rubber seals so it looks brand new? Thanks
  17. R35 GTR Brakes onto at R34 GTR. Who's done it? Hey Guys, I'm looking to upgrade the factory 34 GTR brakes. Currently i'm looking at fitting a full set of R35 brakes and i wanted to know; *If anyone on SAU has done it? *Did they have issues with the brake bias between the front and rear and if so how was it solved? *Is any modification required to make factory handbrake work with the R35 brakes? *Who did they get they get to make the mounting brackets (preferably in NSW)? thanks in advance.

All items located in parramatta area NSW pick up welcome. Rb26 Tomei Type C double valve springs and retainers. I've gone to a shimless setup and the machine shop prefer to use there own custom spring setup hence the sale. Chasing $ 500 ono. these are are awesome springs they have a 242 lbs open pressure when you do the conversion from KGF and around 70 lb seat pressure. I dont think they are available anymore from tomei. the retainers are chrome molly and im told the outer springs are the same at the type B. type c spring manual.pdf Ross performance tuffbond metal jacket Balancer, under driven accessories 10 % from memory. I need a 1000hp balancer so this is up for sale. I got a good deal at the time direct from Ross himself he custom made it and the part number is Actually 306213 on the reciept i think he had some of the cases already laser marked and did not want me to wait so used one he already had. Its barely been used i hardly drove the car come new with abit of a clean. chasing 300 ono.
  19. Hey guys, I'm back with another tutorial that I made (thanks to isolation). This is on a how to swap the RB25 bottom end to a RB30 bottom end with a 25 head in a R34 (R33s and R32 should be kinda similar i think) that I did last year. I had to split the tutorial into 3 parts (each part is like 15mins). It starts with preping the RB30 block, to taking out the RB25, and then putting in the RB30/25 and starting it. The reason why I did an RB30 swap was not because of an upgrade but because my RB25 was showing up bad results on the comp tests and there were cheap RB30s going around (I actually made money out of selling parts from the RB30 that I didn't need lol). The goal for this car is only to be a daily responsive streeter on pump fuel (won't ever take it to the track). It's my first time ever doing something like this (I had no help, did this on my own), so take it as a guide line. If I were to do this again, I would definitely use a proper engine crane and take the whole engine out including the gearbox next time, but yeah... this was a real poor mans job and it got the job done and I've been driving this RB30/25DET Neo everyday to and from work as my daily and I've never had a problem with it (have been clocking 5000+ Kms on it as of 10/4/2020). I learnt everything from researching (a shit load) on these forums, so thanks SAU, here's me giving back. The car ended up making 323.8 HP on the dyno with my OP6 highflow turbo which is a bit too small for this engine. So I will go with a bigger one in the near future. List of mods on my car previously that I brought over to the RB30 swap: HyperGear G2 RB25DET OP6 highflow turbo with ballbearing 3" turbo back exhaust 100mm thick FMIC Splitfire coil packs Xspurt 525cc injectors HDI EBC Nistune ECU Z32 AFM Walbro 255lph fuel pump (hard wire mod) 98RON Exedy HD clutch External oil cooler Koyorad all aluminum radiator Just something to add here on the side if anyone was interested (kinda like a build page, but I might as well put it here). This was my whole budget explained: So the total amount that I spent on this build/recon/swap was $3415. I bought a complete RB30 engine (without the box) for $150. Apparently this engine was used in a TAFE course for mechanic students to practise timing stuff on, so the pisons had heaps of screw driver marks on. A recon was in the picture anyways because I want this engine to last for ages. So I only wanted to keep the block, crank and rods. I sold everything els (head, alternator, ecu ect) for $240. That's already a profit of $90 lol! The reconditioning of the RB30 block and RB25 head was the most expensive out of the whole budget costing $1420.   20. Hey everyone, I've got an R34 GTT manual turbo from an auction. The goal is to get it road registered in WA but I've ran into some issues and I need some help. I took it for a test drive today and the following happened: All 4 wheels/brakes siezed after driving approx 3km with no issues and an idle warm up. Smelt burning and saw smoke coming from engine bay, passenger side, but no drastic change in temp on gauges. never happened when idle testing. Idling poorly after driving Things that I know need to be fixed on the car prior to this happening: No immobilizer and a lot of loose wiring around the column (pictured) Fans and AC don't blow out Needs wheel allignment Needs new clutch, struggles going into gears etc. Needs new gearbox oil The plan was to get the immobilizer installed tomorrow but it now has to go to a mechanic to get these new issues fixed. I would be grateful for any ideas and advice.

I can modify OEM 34 tail lights into Nismo spec or an R35 inspired halo design. For the new players, if you’re after the iconic Nismo tail lights but don’t want to spend $3000 on a second hand set, then my Custom Nismo-like tail lights are a perfect well priced answer. I offer a Nismo conversion to your OEM set of lights that includes; -Restoration of housings -Custom built LED panels -Plug and play ability into OEM harness -Lens restoration of 20+years of minor scratches and fading These are practically indistinguishable from genuine Nismo’s, and at $590 (excluding shipping) come in at under a 1/3 of the price of genuine Nismo’s. For those who want something a bit extra, I also offer a R35 Halo conversion. These still retain the Nismo LED pattern for the brake lights, but uses diffusion rings to create a halo ring for parker lights. These come in at $790 (excluding shipping) to modify your OEM set. And as per our Nismo conversion, housings and lenses undergo a restoration and are fully plug and play. For Sale: 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GTR Vspec Location: Central Coast, NSW Price: $110,000 The car has roughly 94,000kms on chassis and roughly 30,000km on the engine (was replaced by previous owner before I purchased car) I have auction records and de registration papers from Japan, it was auction grade 4.5 with 52,000km on the nismo odometer. I've owned the car for 10 years and only had to service and replace turbo's and the radiator, everything else was done by previous owner aside from wheels and bonnet which I changed. The car runs 330kw's at the wheels on 21 psi and 300kw's at the wheels on 18psi - running on just premium 98 octane fuel Recently has had paint correction and detail performed by Leading Edge Detailing in Silverwater and shows how good of condition the paint work is still in and the car in general. The car has rego till September this year and also is engineered.   23. Hi All! Just a quick one - I am installing the OEM GTT triple gauge pod into my NA-T converted R34 however am having some trouble. I found a post on this website about how to do it, including the wiring diargam but I do not have the wiring loom for these gauges, especially the plug which goes into the back of them. If anyone has this plug/wiring loom I would be more than happy to purchase it off you so do let me know! Failing finding a plug, is there any other way to get these gauges to work? Any help would be hugely appreciated! Nihal
  24. Good Evening All! I am new to this forum and am very pleased to be here as it means I have finally bought my dream car, and 1998 R34 GTT. I have been coveting a skyline since I was a kid and after owning many many different cars I decided I would buy my lifer, the one I had really wanted but had fallen by the wayside. There is just one problem.. It. Is. Ugly. As. Sin. Seriously the last owner must of not cleaned it the entire miserable time he owned it, not to mention deciding that carparks were the perfect place to practice his destruction derby skills, then covering it in "hilarious" bandaid stickers as if to say "whoops". There is a good chance this car is the ugliest one in NSW however under the dust and grime and cosmetic damage I could see a glimmer of potential. I was concerned for it when I saw it, and by the time I drove it home I was in love with it. Brace yourselves you may want a drink before looking at these, much to my wife's credit she trusted me to buy this (for a bargain of a price), keep in mind these pictures make the car actually look BETTER than it did in person.
  25. So I just got bodywork done my car as I had rust forming near both strut towers in the engine bay. I put the strut bolts back on and it dug into the paint and now I have bare metal exposed in the engine bay. What should I use to prevent rust from forming on the bare metal? I just spent a pretty penny getting the rust taken care of and I would hate to have to take care of it again. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should use to prevent this from happening?
