  2. Hi guys! I've got an itch to develop a plugin for my M35 2.5DET. It will use an Adaptronic 1280 ECU and a patch harness. The ecu selection will be because I'm pretty familiar with Adaptronic's now days, and also because the 1280 has an unlimited scope for programming auxillary outputs. This can be used to drive the auto ecu, dash stuff and anything else required. The 1280 is fairly special in it's function block approach to aux programming. Hardware wise, I will need a ECU (can be damaged I only need the plug/internal pins). Instead of plugging the stock ECU in, it will have the plug and then wiring off to 1280 instead. I will develop a loom and tune while retaining all the standard functions of the stock ECU. While I am there I will create a detailed pinout of the ECU as well as a value table for each pin (voltages, signal etc) Does anyone have a broken ECU laying around, or knowledge of where the plugs are available from? Can someone clarify if I can use any 3.5/2.5L ECU, they should have the pins just no internals if the pin is un-utilised for that model. Cheers, Jase

  4. I’m attempting to wire an M6000 (J1 & J2 plugs) into an R33 RB25DET, using the factory engine loom with minimal changes where possible. The ecu is to be used between two cars (street/track) so I’m trying to make it simple to change over. The R33 is manual. Air con, AFM, EGT & 02 sensor deleted. Don’t intent using the factory consult/OBD either. I have figured out most of what R33 wires needs to connect to the M6000. Below is a word doc of the matching pinouts and the M6000 pinout diagram. I have a few questions: 1. The M6000 has 2 Power Ground connections • J2, 8 & J2, 9 The R33 has 7 grounds • Pin 10 earth ign signals system • Pin 20 earth ign signals system • Pin 50 C/U earth • Pin 60 C/U earth • Pin 107/108/116 Injector ground What R33 earths connect to the m6000? 2. R33 Pin 17 Injection Pulse, not sure if this needs to be used. 3. M6000 has 1 knock sensor input. Can the two factory knock sensors be used? Can the Bosch donut knock sensor be used and is it better than factory? 4. Using the factory R33 TPS which has 3 connections at the ecu connector. Not sure about where R33 Pin 56 Throttle opening sensor signal connects to, I’ve designated it to J2, 28 TPS 2 Input but it’s labelled as a spare. Not sure where this connection goes to. 5. R33 Pin 109 Inverse current feedback circuit, not sure if this needs to be used. M6000 R33 pinouts.doc
  5. Hi gents, I am hoping to drive to a tuner with parts installed like you can with an Apexi FC but seeing what ecu options there are that can do the same around the 1k cost. Basically trying to save cost on labour by installing injectors, AFM prior and weed out any setup issues prior to going to a tuner. Other reason is limited option in Canberra so may need to drive to NSW. Other options I'm looking at is R32 nistune (as the firmware can now run vct without window switch) or Adaptronic as I already have purchased a hypergear turbo. My mods are very basic, hypergear 21u 350hp high flow, usual breathing mods. Will probably make 230-250max. Car is already tuned with stock turbo and safc 200rwkw and pretty good milage. 400-450ks a tank (half city half highway) So I have 2 questions 1.Do nistune or Adaptronic have this capability via laptop so I can drive it gingerly to a tuner? 2. Will either of these be better for daily driver ability ie, idle, partial throttle response and economy. Autotech in Canberra and some of the other tuners I have spoken to do all three options. Hey All, As you know, this is one mighty powerful ECU capable of running full flex, anti-lag, launch control, traction control, etc. Also has engine protection features, MAP predict for transient throttle - extremely powerful ECU. I have used it in my car and have tuned other cars running this very ECU. As my needs have changed, I am upgrading to an ECU that supports more features so this bad boy is up for sale, comes with: ECU itself Internal connector & harness (with quick release connectors for flex input, additional wheel speed sensor input, etc) USB port has been repaired and loads of glue has been applied on it (common issue with these ECUs) Price: $800 Location: Canley Vale, NSW Will remove from car after it has been demonstrated working, and will give you a bunch of other tunes too.
  9. Currently has a tune for 300 kw R33 Gtst - hypergear high flow turbo, nismo 740cc injectors, walbro 255, front mount intercooler and full 3" intercooler. So if you have similar mods you can run the ecu but a full tune for your car is recommended. I have bought another ecu to suit my needs, so want this gone asap (negotiable on $$ within reason).
