  1. Power loss diag update - snow button So I have come across something that seems to have fixed the very slow responsiveness of the throttle in my series 1 RS4 auto today. I met up with the local stagea owners over the weekend and I heard at some point that the snow button on the centre console pressurizes the Atessa system when it is flicked on. So I thought that maybe in my car it is not pressurizing correctly upon ignition and that might be why the car feels so sluggish. I tried it this morning I flicked the switch to "snow" and back to "power" a couple of times and there it was: torque, accelleration, response. I can now feel the difference between off boost and on boost more defined and the wheels spin much easier too. So is there any info you guys might have or know of about how the "pressurizing" of the Atessa system works? Should I get the awd serviced maybe?

I've got a 98' Series 2 Stagea and the 4wd doesn't work (See more here: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463038-help-with-fault-finding-attesa-system-attesa-ecu-c34/#entry7685341) Just wondering how do i retrieve error codes relating to the 4wd system? I've got to the ABS/ESP computer (Also 4wd?) and a few forum posts reference a red flashing light through a hole or someone said it is on the PCB itself. I've pulled the cover off the computer and could not see a light anywhere (See photos attached). Is there another way to get the codes?
  3. I am looking to replace the Atessa system fluid and wondering if I can use a vacuum bleeding pump setup to flush system from front to back or vice versa? Then do standard air pressure bleed if required? And yes I have searched and found the standard ways to do it with powering pump etc, but looking for one man operation options. Other thought is whether system cycles every start up I could vacuum out reservoir and wipe etc, then put fresh fluid in every couple of weeks until it's reasonably diluted to an acceptable OCD level ha ha ha ha ha ha.? Hit me up with options peoples.. Then once this has been achieved I'll do the diffs and transfer cases
  4. hi all I have a Series 1 Stagea that had RB25DET auto, motor died, SO ive got a RB25DET neo manual with matching Loom,ECU.(Motor is in car now) I understand that the series 1 fuse box is different and after searching have been told that ABS, Atessa and AC wont work. Has Someone wired this correctly to fix these issues, am wondering if i just have to re-pin the body plug to suit the series 1 pin out. sorry if newbie question struggling to find info on this. Thanks all.

R34 25GT-FOUR Hello everyone, i have been looking up some information on a R34 25GT-FOUR that i might be buying soon, the question i'm trying to find an answer to is the AWD system, is a the same setup as a torque split or is it always in 4wd mode. A few sources have said its always in 4wd mode and others say its 2wd until traction is lost. What makes it more confusing is that it is running a R33 RB26DETT engine with a R32 gearbox. Thanks
  7. Hello everyone! i know I’m new to the site but I need some help. I dropped my differential to get to the atessa and found the leak at the wiring of the pressure sensor/switch. does Anyone know if this is a sensor or a switch? If a sensor, has anyone tried switch it with an oil pressure sensor or anything that might work as a replacement? i can’t find a replacement and looking at nissans parts catalog and countless researching I don’t think you can buy it separately. I also had no luck on researching suitable replacements.
  8. Hey guys I have a 2001 series 2 R34 GTR and the 4WD and ABS lights are on and I have no idea how to approach it. Car was running great up until one day I had a flat tire because a wheel cracked. Then I have replaced all four tires and hope it will go away but unfortunately it didn’t. I have tried the following methods but have no luck ? -checked the consult port but there’s no cable wired in for pin 4 (probably because it’s just a base model and not a V-Spec) (see attachment) -I tried looking at the trunk for the blinking red light on the attessa ECU (below the hicas ecu) but do not see anything. -I checked the fluid level and it’s all good. -I can hear the attessa pump kicks in when I put the car in accessories mode so I know the pump is definitely not the problem -tried wiggling the TPS sensor (as someone suggested on forums) and no luck ? -Tires are 265/35/18 and all at 35PSI Any input will be welcomed! Thank you!
  9. Hi all Am about to do a digital dash swap in my 32 GTR, and am currently investigating the speedo signal issue. I'll be converting the car to run an electronic speed sensor using an R33 GTR unit, and wiring that into the ECU to give it a speed signal. My question is, will I also have to do something with the atessa system, since the OEM speedometer will no longer be fitted? Am struggling to get clarity anywhere as to whether the R32 Atessa system uses the OEM speedometer output for any of the stuff it does. Any insight will be appreciated!
