  1. Hi all, as stated looking for a clutch fork from an R34 GT-T pull type gearbox. Also after the throw out bearing carrier or whatever it's called. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi, Does anybody know whether R33 GTR front wheel bearings will fit series 2 C34? My driver's side bearing is shagged, and the only bearing I can find which is specifically for C34 is worryingly for "96-99" (which is odd since series 1 finished in 98 and series 2 in 2001). Does anyone know if these will fit? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GBC-Nissan-Stagea-1996-1999-C34-Single-front-wheel-bearing-/400435809402?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d3bd58c7a&_uhb=1 If not, I thought I might have more luck with '33 GTR since they're more common (on ebay at least). cheers DaveB
  3. If you have the dreaded creaks in your front end this could be the solution. Be sure to eliminate any other possibilities first. Before you start this you must try to get the lower bearing. It is hard to find, Nissan will make one for $150, and the dust seal is $120, so try and save the seals. Be safe, use stands and a good jack. You need a breaker bar, a 14, two 17s, a 19, a flathead screwdriver or two (one strong and one sharp). Take off the front wheels A bit of wd to loosen things up. Pop off the brake line clips, just these two is enough. Undo the nut on top of the swaybar link. Take off the washer and rubber. Take the sharp screwdriver and carefully pry off the dustcap. Undo the nut and take off the washer too. Out it comes. Dont forget a block of wood! Undo the nut at the bottom of the strut. Take it off the arm. Undo the nut and bolt on the outside of the upper arm. Push the arm down to get the bolt out All gone. Always clean parts, especially if you are taking them to a workshop. Rust! Remove, etch prime, paint. Now you can take it to get the bearings pressed out, and the new ones in. Putting it back together is easy, just do it all in reverse, and dont forget to grease the new bearings, use plenty. Thats pretty easy, its only a few nuts and bolts, the hard part is getting the bearings and seals. Torque settings: Foot pounds. Kingpin nut. 72-87 Lower strut nut. 80-94 Outside upper arm nut and bolt. 65-80 Swaybar link. No data for gtst. GTR is 30-35
  4. I found there are no lower kingpin bearings available for R32s. Bearing shops dont have and cant get or make them. Nissan dont have any but they will make them. it takes 3-4 weeks and they cost $150 each. Dust seals are $120 each so save em if you can. The upper bearing is common, about $8-$15 depending on brand. The lower bearing has a number but you will get the wrong one if you use that number. Check the dimensions. This one. Good luck.
  5. If you have the dreaded mystery creak in your front suspension and cant find the answer, try this: Upper bearing: 6204V Lower bearing: 6907L8 anyway now i have the numbers i can find the bearings

  9. Hey guys thought id post this up and see if you guys are hearing it too. I feel like there is a faint rod knock going on. Or maybe im just hearing things. the engine has 188km's on it, early model rb 1990, bone stock when I received it... not sure how hard the car was driven in the past. I am currently running Redline 5w-40 in it. thanks https://youtu.be/2Fl2xR64F-E
  10. Rb25 Bearing Clearance Recommendation Currently Building a rb25 NEO for my stagea. At the stage of checking my clearances but have a few questions for some more experienced engine builders or hobbyists than myself. My over all goal for the build is a RELIABLE 600-700HP within a street application. Key word is reliable here I don’t plan on siting on limiter every time it starts im building it as a street car and plan to treat it as such, but obviously I still want to have my fun with it occasionally. Now the FSM states clearances between 0.02-0.04 mm (Big End) 0.028-0.46 (Mains). This is all well and good but as you can imagine Nissan chose these numbers based on a stock application needs. So I feel its fair to assume that using aftermarket race bearings, double the HP and a slightly higher rev limit would require a slightly different clearance. I’ve done some looking online surprisingly hard to find much info on recommended clearances. Even when I did they contradicted each other so here I am. If anyone has any advice, recommendations, stories and or numbers I would greatly appreciate it.
  11. So, i've had this odd noise coming from my podfilter, as in my opinion sounds like a grinding metallic noise. This isn't something new though, it has been going on since 2016. It isn't that apparent irl but you can definetely hear it on idle when standing near the engine xD. I recorded a video with my phone which managed to capture the noise really well (since it's quite high pitch). I will link a clip with the noise below. Any wise thoughts on what it could be? cheers!
