  3. Sorry for the complete noob question but I wanted to be sure before I ordered them and can't find an answer on the site. I have a 2003 m35 250t rs4, are these the right model numbers for the QFM A1RM brake pads: Front: http://gslrallysport.com/au/qfm-db1232a1rm-brake-pads.html Rear: http://gslrallysport.com/au/brakes/brake-pads/db1509a1rm-qfm-a1rm-brake-pads.html thanks!
  4. Fellow M35 owners, have any of you run into the 3rd brake light problem of it not working? And if so, what did you do to repair it? Mine actually flashes on for a split second sometimes, but turns right back off even if the brakes are depressed and the other normal brake lights stay on. Also, if I bang on the 3rd brake light while the brake is depressed I can sometimes get it to flash but turns right back off. Is the LED bulb assembly bad? Seems as if it's acting like there's a short in there somewhere. I plan on removing the plastic interior panel on the back to get to the assembly from underneath. Then use a test lamp to check the wiring. If the assembly is bad, I'm not so sure I want to purchase a new one from Nissan. If I can get inside the LED assembly, I may just wire in a new LED strip of lights myself. Any thoughts on this?
  5. Hey guys Chasing a complete 5 stud brake assembly (front and rear) with wheel bearings, calipers, rotors, handbrake assembly. It doesnt have to be all in a package. Whatever you got. I want to do a conversion and seems to be I need those parts. Please contact me on 0413 659 566
  6. WTB: R33 handbrake cables Hey fellas, After r33 handbrake cables, must be in good condition. Happy to pay postage or pickup around sydney. Thanks Simon
  7. Chasing the ABS reluctor ring that slips onto the stub axle in the rear of the s1 auto stagea diff. Not sure if all are the same. I have a cracked one and trying to fault find my driveline issue.
  8. Disclaimer: There's a lot of people recommending to do this mod, but I haven't seen any idiotproof guides on how to do it. I'm not saying this is the best way to do this mod, it's just how i've done it - and hopefully this will help others, even if they don't follow my way 100%. Brief overview: The general consensus is that from Factory, M35 Stageas limit throttle to 30% for up to 3 seconds after releasing the brake pedal. This can prevent good launches/coming out of corners faster. By cutting the signal wire to the ECU, we can maintain full throttle immediately after releasing the brake. It is OK to cut this wire, however you will get a Check Engine Light after some time. By rigging it up to a switch, you are able to disable/enable the mod freely. Behind the glovebox is the ECU. You will need to dissemble the passenger side interior to access this, there's other guides online on how to do this - so I will assume you have your glovebox out and are looking at the ECU. Pull the plastic off guard off the ECU connector, it clicks off the 4 tabs on each corner. Find the VIOLET wire with the BLUE stripe - you can see it in pictures 1 + 4 of this post. I cut this wire, and attached either side to a terminal block. You can pick these up from JayCar very cheaply - I used a terminal block because I don't trust myself to solder wires coming directly off the ECU. I then picked up a small, discrete ON/OFF toggle switch (also from JayCar), which I mounted in my Glovebox - see pictures 2 + 3. Lastly just attach these wires to the remaining spots on the terminal block. Test the switch while everything is apart - This way you can fix any problems before reassembling. Done! Picture 4 of this post explains the above if anyone is unclear. Some people have hooked this up to the reverse switch in the car, so they don't have to touch the switch ever - however I like the idea of a toggle, so I can limit throttle power when a family member/friend drives the car.

  10. Let me first start off by saying I am in America. I tracked the sedan for the first time and need one new rear rotor and possibly two fronts. It is a series 1 RB25DE, and has 4x114.3 (4 stud) bolt pattern. I have been searching for these parts all morning and have had very little luck. I have brand new pads all around, but that site I buy from does not carry rotors. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  11. V36 Battery & Brake Warning Light ON!! Hey guys, So, I was on my way to work this morning, then slowing down, my car kind of jerked/hesitated and then battery light came on. Then drove for a few seconds then saw the Brake light come on as well. I was doing a little bit of research and it says that the alternator might be on its way. Can anyone confirm? Also they've said that it might be grounding issue. How do I check if I have a bad alternator? Battery is only about a year old. Thanks in advance guys
  12. Hi all, I have recently purchased this brake adaptor kit for my R34 GTT, and after learning of my involvement on Skylines Australia, Alpha Omega Racing has offered a discount saving to all SAU members. Company: Alpha Omega Racing www.alphaomegaracing.com Product: Evo 350mm Brembo Brake Adaptor Kit. The adaptors are 100% CNC machined billet alloy, grade 7075, which is super lightweight and high strength. There is also a 'Stealth Edition' kit available, where the adaptors are anodised black. Purpose: The kit allows you to fit Brembo calipers from an Evo 5-9 (all the same) with Evo X rotors (350mm, much larger than the 320mm used on previous Evo's) to your R32/R33/R34/S13 (5 stud)/S14/S15/Z32/Z33. The reason for not using the Evo X caliper is because they have larger 'legs' which would require the adaptor to be smaller/weaker. The Brembo calipers on the Evo's have a slightly larger pad area than the GTR Brembo's, as well as larger pistons, and can often be bought significantly cheaper too. What's included: - Pair of CNC machined 7075 billet alloy caliper adaptors - High tensile bolts and washers - Installation instructions (with pictures) What you need to get - B.Y.O. or supplied by Alpha Omega Racing: - Mitsubishi Evo 5/6/7/8/9 Brembo front calipers (including pads/pins/shims/clips/banjo bolts) - Mitsubishi Evo X front rotors (350x32mm) - Custom brake lines Alpha Omega Racing can supply all of the above, but you are also able to purchase the parts elsewhere if you wish. I personally sourced the parts elsewhere as I decided to go for 2 piece Attkd rotors and had a local business make my brake lines as I use them regularly for other custom lines. Some people may find it more convenient to purchase all parts for the conversion from Alpha Omega Racing and the listed prices are as follows; - Evo 5/6/7/8/9 Brembo front calipers (used) - $850 - RDA Evo X 350x32mm slotted rotors - $290 - Goodridge custom brake lines - $240 Alpha Omega Racing can also offer services to rebuild your used calipers, powder coat them, or even install the whole kit. Wheel clearance: Minimum of 17" race style wheels with good clearance are required. Brake Master Cylinder: You are able to retain your factory brake master cylinder, however it is recommended to upgrade to a brake master cylinder with a piston size of 17/16" (such as a BM57). Price: The RRP for the adaptor kit is $370 plus postage, or $385 for the 'Stealth Edition' adaptor kit plus postage. The group buy discount that is being offered is; - <5 people = no discount - 5-11 people = Normal kit for $340ea, or 'Stealth Edition' kit for $355ea, (save $30) plus postage - 12-19 people = Normal kit for $310ea, or 'Stealth Edition' kit for $325ea, (save $60) plus postage - 20+ people = As above, with free postage - including tracking number/signature on delivery/insurance (total saving of approximately $90-110) Group Buy Condition: The group buy will run for a two (2) week period, finishing at close of business on 4th June 2015. Anybody interested in purchasing the kit as part of the group buy should notify my by the cut off date and I will add them to the 'buyer list'. At the conclusion of the group buy period I will tally the number of buyers and contact Alpha Omega with the total numbers. A discount coupon will be provided to each buyer allowing them to get the appropriate discount. Prior to the cut off date all communication will be with me either via this thread or via PM. At the conclusion of the group buy, once you have been provided with the discount code, all communication will be between the buyer and Alpha Omega. All shipping and payment details will be between the buyer and Alpha Omega only. Any warranty on the product(s) will be provided by Alpha Omega. 13. hey guys i want to get all of your opinion's on brakes which one's do you use and how will u rate them what good brakes to you suggest for a r33 gtst street brakes but also there are days that i give it to my car iv'e heard one of the best brakes out there are the QFM A1RM street/ track brakes
  14. Hey guys i wanna do a full caliper rebuild but can't seem to find brake piston's for rear only front? are the rear piston's same as the front?
  15. It's a simple idea that I've searched for many times. Simply post; Car: eg. 32GTR Brakes: eg. 355mm x 32mm 6 pot alcon bbk Wheels: 18x9 + 20 BBS LM Photos: eg. photo's of brake clearance ** Please not the above is an example only, the car isn't a 32 GTR and I can't confirm the size of the kit / wheel. The idea is to collect in one place a list of what wheels fit what brake kits to help members such as myself looking for the largest brake kit that they can fit under a certain wheel. If you have a big brake kit or run smaller then standard wheels (say 15" on a 32 GTR with OEM brakes) please contribute and help to make this thread a success. This will hopefully clear up any confusion about what will fit and what won't, it will also save people buying brakes that don't fit under there desired wheels. It's also a chance to be a brake whore. Willis
  16. So I’ve been trying to remove an alarm, as it was going off randomly, and the remote has had it etc just wanted it removed. I’ve located the unit that is the alarm system itself. My question is; *is everything meant to plug right into a stock/factory piece that isn’t there?* I wouldn’t imagine so, but some of the plugs that went into the alarm look uncut/factory. I’ll attach photos with the post for reference. the alarm is marked with the label ‘warlock’ and a couple serial numbers but I couldn’t find any information on it, (was hoping for a diagram or even their website to ask them) so I assume maybe it’s a cheap eBay copy or something, and probably old. Any information helps, whether you know if it’s meant to reconnect to a particular part, or have a diagram of individual wiring, knowing the company, anything at all helps thanks.
  17. R33 4 stud rotors I have a series 1 r33 gts and was wondering where i can get 4 stud replacement brake rotors, and if I can use rotors from other nissans.
  18. r34 GTT brake upgrade Hi Guys, I have set of EBC 310 grooved and dimpled on my r34GTT I installed it with ebc red stuff and I have to say brake performance is fu***ing sh*t I think my kia picanto 1 liter is better than the skyline. I also changed the fluid to dot4 racing from castrol. My hope is that I need to bleed the system and brake is ok. I have been lazy to do it as have hardly drived the car but I am using it frequently now. I almost crashed it another day by failing to stop. it gets very soft and goes further down when braking hard . Anyways, whilst I am going to do the bleeding , I thought I also change the caliper and rear discs to groved/dimpled. It is the standard size of 310 at front and 295mm at back. would you invest £600 on pair of GTR brembo or change the disc to 350mm and get evo10 caliper and disc? I spent in excess of £400 on the disc and the pads last time.
  19. Brake Booster Options Does anyone know if an R33 GTR brake booster is a direct swap to the older R32 GTR? I'm in the states with a leaky brake booster and am having trouble sourcing a replacement!
  20. Hey guys got a r33 gtst and my rear right brake always squeals tried changing my rear rotors and brakes and still the rear right still squeals help plz any ideas
  21. Hi All, I'm in the process of buying my 1st v35! Very exciting times, and it will be quite a step up from my R31. The car is currently undergoing its RWC and one of the items needed is new brakes all round. Any suggestions on what work well with the skyline? Any personal preferences? I'm only using the car as a daily so I dont need anything stupid or excessive or expensive. Cheers
  22. Afternoon, Looking to buy a brake setup for my R32 GTR and was seeing what people had to sell. Please post up what you have, as I'm considering all options at present, be it Brembos, Ap's etc etc. Thanks for your time all. Cheers, Gordo.
  23. Hello, i've recently done a turbo brake conversion on an n/a, all seals replaced and caliper bores and pistons cleaned before installation. but when i took the first drive there was a sound in the rear like fluid being forced out, upon stopping there was fluid on the outer lip of the disc and fluid all around the wheels, not enough to be dangerous but eventually. so i put it down to a faulty caliper as it had a speck or two of surface rust and replaced them with better condition ones, these have the exact same problem and im so confused, im assuming its the piston leaking but im hoping its the new HEL braided lines i installed as the 34 gtt lines have a little bit of thread exposed from the caliper Any help would be really appreciated because i need to drive it and done wanna pay drug money for a shop to look at it
  24. Alpha Omega Racing Evo 350mm Big Brake Kit Group Buy Round 3 (WTAC rear kit available) Hey all, Alpha Omega Racing are running a group buy again just in time for World Time Attack Challenge. You may already be aware, Alpha Omega Racing have been developing adaptor kits to fit front and rear Evo Brembo’s to S/R/Z chassis for some time now. This is now the third group buy run for the brake adaptor kits, and will this time include the front adaptor kit (Version 3), rear adaptor kit, and the new WTAC edition rear adaptor kit which has been developed to meet WTAC Clubsprint rules. Company: Alpha Omega Racing www.alphaomegaracing.com Products: Evo 350mm Brembo Front Brake Adaptor Kit and/or Evo 350mm Brembo Rear Brake Adaptor Kit. These adaptors are 100% CNC machined billet alloy, grade 7075, which is super lightweight and high strength. What's included (front kit): - Left and right adapters made out of one piece of 7075-T6 billet aerospace alloy - Various high tensile 12.9 bolts and high tensile washers - Full installation instructions with pictures Front fitment with 17x9 +15 What's included (rear kit): - Left and right adapters made out of one piece of 7075-T6 billet aerospace alloy - Hub spacers (standard rear kit only) - Various high tensile bolts and high tensile washers - Full installation instructions with pictures Rear fitment with 18x10 +35 What you need to get (front kit) - B.Y.O. or supplied by Alpha Omega Racing: - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5/6/7/8/9 Brembo frontcalipers(including pads/pins/shims/clip) - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10 front 350x32mm rotors - Custom brake lines Alpha Omega Racing can supply all of the above parts, but you also have the options of sourcing them yourself. I personally sourced parts for my front kit elsewhere as I had my own lines made and picked up a cheap set of calipers. Alpha Omega Racing has these parts listed at: - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5/6/7/8/9 Brembo frontcalipers (used) - $850 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10front350x32mm DBA T3 rotors (new) - $470; or - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10front350x32mm DBA5000 2pc (new) - $1200 - HEL custom braided brake lines (new) - $130 What you need to get (rear kit) - B.Y.O. or supplied by Alpha Omega Racing: - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5/6/7/8/9 Brembo rear calipers (including pads/pins/shims/clip) - Nissan 370Z rear 350x20mm rotors - Custom brake lines Again, Alpha Omega Racing can supply all of the above parts if desired. I personally sourced all parts from Alpha Omega Racing for convenience with the rear kit. Alpha Omega Racing has these parts listed at: - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5/6/7/8/9 Brembo rear calipers (used) - $450 - Nissan 370Z rear 350x32mm DBA T2 rotors (new) - $450 - HEL custom braided brake lines (new) - $110 Silvia (180SX/S13/S14/S15) drivers who want a functioning handbrake will need to use the R32/R33/R34/Z32 rear drum setup, a very common upgrade. It is also worth noting that the standard rear kit requires a 6mm hub spacer to be installed for caliper clearance, this will also push your wheel/tyre out a further 6mm so may affect guard clearances. Alpha Omega Racing can also offer services to rebuild your used calipers, powder coat them, or even install the whole kit. Using both the front and rear big brake kits developed by Alpha Omega will result in a 69:31 brake bias. Wheel clearance: Minimum of 17" race style wheels with good clearance are required. Brake Master Cylinder: You are able to retain your factory brake master cylinder, however it is recommended to upgrade to a brake master cylinder with a piston size of 17/16" (such as a BM57). Genuine OEM BM57 BMC’s are available from Alpha Omega Racing at a price of $500 (new), or you could also try to source from your usual Japanese parts suppliers or Nissan dealership if you desired. Price: Pricing for this group buy will be calculated per number of kits sold, not per buyer. For example, if 3 people buy a front and rear kit each, this will be calculated as 6 kits sold. Prices will be as below: 1-4 kits sold - Front adapter kit for $370ea (no savings yet, group buy not activated) - Rear adapter kit for $450ea (no savings yet, group buy not activated) - Rear “World Time Attach Edition” adapter kit for $390ea (no savings yet, group buy not activated) 5-10 kits sold - Front adapter kit for $345ea (save $25) - Rear adapter kit for $400ea (save $50!) - Rear “World Time Attach Edition” adapter kit for $340ea (save $50!) 11-15 kits sold - Front adapter kit for $320ea (save $50!) - Rear adapter kit for $350ea (save $100!!) - Rear “World Time Attach Edition” adapter kit for $290ea (save $100!!) 16+ kits sold - Front adapter kit for $295ea (save $75!!) - Rear adapter kit for $300ea (save $150!!!) - Rear “World Time Attach Edition” adapter kit for $240ea (save $150!!!) Braided brake lines, rotors, calipers, bleeders, rebuilding, etc are not part of this group buy but you are welcome to order them altogether. Group Buy Condition: The group buy will run until close of business on Sunday 28th September 2016. Anybody interested in purchasing either of the kits as part of the group buy should notify me by the cut-off date and I will add them to the 'buyer list'. At the conclusion of the group buy (29th September 2016), I will tally the number of buyers and advise Alpha Omega with the total numbers. A discount ‘coupon code’ will be provided to each buyer on the 30th September 2016 allowing them to get the appropriate discount in the shopping cart on the Alpha Omega Racing website. It is expected that most orders will be placed between 3rd – 7th October 2016. Alpha Omega Racing will be closed during World Time Attack Challenge dates (10th – 14th October 2016). Upon returning to business, they will begin processing/shipping as soon as they return from their closure period for WTAC on the 17th October 2016. Prior to the cut-off date all communication will be with me either via this thread or via PM. At the conclusion of the group buy, once you have been provided with the discount code, all communication will be between the buyer and Alpha Omega Racing. All shipping and payment details will be between the buyer and Alpha Omega Racing only. Any warranty on the product(s) will be provided by Alpha Omega Racing. If you have any questions, regarding the kit or the pricing, please don't hesitate to ask either by posting in this thread or sending me a PM. Cheers, Tim
  25. CTS-V calipers Hey all, Heard quite a bit about folks swapping CTS-V 6-pot calipers into their S13s for a stupidly low price but am yet to hear of anyone doing it to a Skyline. I was interested in some 4-pots for my GT so hit up a guy who does custom adaptors for the S and Z chassis (http://www.ctsvbrakeswap.com/nissan/), he claims the S13 style adaptors should fit the non-GTR model R34s at least. Anybody got any more info on this type of swap/heard about anyone who's done it? Cheers
