  1. Hi All, I am having some issues with the steering on my car. It only started all of a sudden and before anyone jumps to the conclusion LOL, No i havent hit any gutters, gone kerb surfing or putting the wagon sideways, or had any accidents. When i first bought the car it drove dead straight about a month ago the car started pulling left. It was pretty bad to start with but now is really bad. I went and had the wheels aligned and the only adjustable thing is the Toe in/Toe out settings and they are perfect now (they were off by quite a bit). Oddly enough this made no bloody difference to the way the car drives. I have checked the heights of all 4 coilovers and they are perfectly level. I also measured from centre of wheel cap to wheel arch lip and all is fine. They are Mines/Ohlins coilovers and are set by notches in the strut and can only be adjusted by ripping them out of the car and putting them back in. The Camber is off by 0.5deg. Left side is -2.0deg and RHS is -1.5deg which would actually push the car to the right. So ive ruled out Camber and Toe. So im left with Caster which is quite off. LHS is -ve and RHS is +ve. There is no uneven tyre wear and all i can think of is that the Caster is off but since the 260rs doesnt have adjustable Casters and they are really effing strong pieces of metal how can it suddenly be off without any of the earlier mentioned fun and games? I have inspected the Caster bushes and the ball joints and had my wheel alignment guy look at it and he said that there are no damaged or cracked bushes in my setup. So my question is this, what could be the cause? and how do i fix it?
  2. Can somebody please tell me *definitively* (ie. with evidence) what the difference is, if any, between 2WD and 4WD adjustable tension rods? I have had some sellers tell me that these rods will fit 4WD: http://justjap.com/hardrace-heavy-duty-rubber-bushed-adjustable-tension-rods-nissan-s14-s15-r33-r34-2wd.html When I look elsewhere, the only ones I can find advertised for 4WD are all pillow-ball, and I want bushes. I can't imagine what the difference would be, having seen both the 2WD and 4WD factory original versions, but I suspect there might be a bend in the 4WD versions which isn't present in the 2WD versions... can anybody confirm one way or the other? cheers DaveB
  3. So I've gone to get an alignment and long story short they ballsed it. The only useful thing they could show me was that the amount of space between the front tyre and front bumper is different on the left to the right. So with the same caster setting I will have, eg, 3 fingers width from front tyre to front bumper on one side and 4 fingers on the other. Why is this? I haven't had any accident or big hits that I can remember. So the real questions it, what can I do to fix it so that its balanced each side. I believe it may have to do with the front subframe? But I don't know what could be out of balance or what to adjust so that this is equal. Note this isn't something which an alignment will fix, as it can be aligned equal on each side, but this condition will still occur.
  4. Heya Skyriners, Pulled these off my car to replace with solid arms #becauseracecar so they're up for sale. They have some adjustment (more than enough for a daily/street car). Will fit RWD S14/15 R33/R34 but NOT GT-R Happy to swap for a case of beer OR some cash, whatever makes you hard. Replace those leaky caster rods NOW!
