Hey all, Just wanted to document something out of the ordinary that happened yesterday just before closing up at work. I had pulled my car out of the workshop and parked it in one of our bays so I could start bringing in other vehicles and wrapping up. About 30mins-45mins later a police twin cab D-MAX pulled up out the front of my workshop - single female driver. She was in the car for a bit but I noticed her looking around and then get out and open up the back tray of her vehicle. I thought nothing of it... That was until the boys from the shop next to me informed me today that she got out a camera and started photographing my car. She was out the front for no longer than 15-20mins then as we walked outside to leave she did a U-turn and drove away. To my recollection I have no reason to be of interest to police especially seeing as my car has just come out of the workshop after 7-8months in the build and I have a clean drivers record. It was driven twice that day, once to the autoelectricians then once back - no cops in sight, following me or pulling me over. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or something similar? It's playing on my mind as with the new hooning laws, I'm wondering if they're documenting imports and adding them to a database on their systems.

Hi, Today as i was driving to the coast i passed a cop who was going the other way on the bungendore highway going the speed limit. As soon as he saw me he did a U-Turn and followed me and then pulled me over. As soon as he pulled me over he went straight for the ride height stick telling me the car is too low. He then realized his car was lower than mine so he put it under middle of the car and found the exhaust to be too low. The cheeky old man then asked me to pop the bonnet and asked what modification i had done, i said just a few hoses and gaskets and he had the cheekiest smile on his face but that quickly dropped off his face when he saw the engine bay, everything was black, nothing shiny, low mount turbo hidden by heatshield, no blue hoses or silver things. The only shiny thing he saw was the fuel filter so he went to examine it for a while (probably thought it was a turbo or something). I dont think he knew what to look for so he played around with some of the hoses. He then went on to breathalize me (probably smelled the Ethanol fuel). Not being able to find anything he tried to tell me that my seatbelt did not retract fast enough and that carried a 400$ fine and 4 demerit points but because he was such a nice guy he decided to let me off on that. He played around with the seat thinking it was aftermarket too. o.0 To me it seems he needed to fill a quota or was in competition with his collegues to who gets the most bookings as he also gave me a 100$ fine. Now i have a blue defect notice from NSW stating i need a Full Inspection at a AUVIS (Authorised Unregistered Inspection Station). Does this mean i do not have to go through Dickson and can go to any other places ? Do i need to only get the ride height cleared or would they check everything else ? If anyone can recommend via PM a good place ? Also i need a new windscreen how much do they usually go for ? I was slightly upset and punched the windscreen and cracked half of it (had to cover a towel on the steering wheel when he came back to give me the ticket lol) Really happy i tried to keep everything looking stock so he didnt fine me on anything else. Hey guys, Could someone help me out please - I'm in desperate need of a pink slip for my R32 GTS-T. My only posssible defects are an exposed pod filter and aftermarket HIDs. I had my car booked in to a guy this morning but he knocked me back 'cause of the pod. Can anyone please help me out? Preferably Sydney Inner West (I'm in Haberfield) - I'd REALLY appreciate the help, especially if someone could help me ASAP. Thanks in advance guys! Josh.

Just wanted to know what the fine for running a decat pipe is in VICTORIA, and whether anyone's been done for it? I hear the fine is something ridiculous like $10,000 and mobile EPA officers at defect stations can d!ck you for this simply by getting an emissions reading and extrapolating the fact your car is passing out very dirty gases.....can someone shed some light on this?

Hey guys, i have recently been defected for having after market "DRIFT" bucket seats in my R34. I was wondering if s15 seats would fit into the car as i can the front seats off a mate, or if you have any other ideas for seats that would pass the inspection, and fit into the r34? Cheers Mike.

Hey guys, I'm the proud new owner of a 1999 Nissan Stagea which I picked up from Canberra and brought back to Newcastle NSW. The car is fantastic but I need to get it blue slipped for NSW registration. I had a chat to my mechanic and there are a fair few things that will need to be changed in order to legally pass a blue slip, thing is I'm obviously going to change it back the second it's done so why not skip the middle man? Is anyone aware of anyone in Newcastle or the Central Coast that passes modded cars? How have all of you gotten through your blue slips?

Hi everyone, I just recently bought and installed a stock air box to my r34 gtt because it had a mushroom filter in it because i thought they were illegal and moving interstate i didnt want to have a hassle with a rwc. The mushroom filter had brackets attached to it and bolted to the body so it didnt move at all, my question is, are they illegal like the uncovered pods? Like i mentioned before, im a noob and new to the jdm/performance scene so any help would be appreciated

in very good condition, all rubbers & all 4 clamps all intact, it is complete with the snorkel that sucks in cold air from the front of the car. Great for Clearing Defects, RWC or returning back to stock. Don't be fooled, allot of responsive power can be made through using the stock airbox. Only people that have used Pod filters that have gone back to stock air boxes can tell the difference around the streets.
