  4. Looking at grabbing a LSD from a 6 speed V35. Having trouble finding information confirming that it's a direct fit to the 3.5 RWD Stagea. Different forums mention things about splines not lining up and ratios being different... I am aware the LSD's from ARX etc will fit easy, but I have the opportunity to get a cheap V35 diff. Thanks!
  5. Did search, found no clear answer: 1. Can the R34 GTT diff housing take R34 GTR diff centre/LSD? Guessing not 2. What (reasonably priced) aftermarket LSD would you recommend for mostly street/occasional circuit use? My OEM viscous diff is starting to fade and will need an upgrade at some point. Need to retain ABS. Based on my reading I'm guessing a 1 or 1.5 way might be the go?   6. Hi guys, i'm here to find out if the front diff+sump of the r32 GTR will bolt straight onto my 1990 r32 gts-4 as well as the rear diff from the r32 GTR. My current rear diff has blown up due to running on no oil and I cannot not find one with the right ratio to replace it so im looking to swap out both for the 4.11:1 from the GTR. Thank you
  7. Hey guys. Just picked up this GTR diff I was told was a Vspec also. Opened it up to weld and is much different to what I'm used to. Some say clutch pack and pull apart to weld but some say it's an aftermarket centre. 1.5 or 2 way. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
  8. R32 GTR Diff Rebuild Hi Guys, My R32 GTR rear diff is stuffed and is so bloody loud. I've been looking for a second hand diff but found they are quite hard to find. Does anyone no how much I would be looking at to rebuild my diff? and could anyone recommend a place to get in rebuilt in Melbourne? Cheers.
  9. So I have recently bought a 1990 r32 skyline gts-4. Unfortunately, the person I bought the car from must have never put any diff oil in it, and i drove it for 3 hours home and the diff blew up. Im trying to find a diff to replace it with, but due to the rarity of the gts-4, im struggling to find one. I was wondering if any one could tell me what cars have the 4.3:1 ratio that i need and would also bolt straight on to the 6x1 bolt pattern since the other varients of the r32 would not work. Thanks
  10. i am starting to notice a knocking and a clunking under acceleration coming from the front of the car. is this commonly diagnosed as a diff problem or a CV axle problem? if it is a diff problem can anyone direct me to the right part for the front diff. as i am unsure as to the differences between the front diff and the rear diff. any help is appreciated. thanks!

Leaking R35 GTR Front Differential Hey guys, Ive recently purchased my first GTR, its a 2010 model and my mechanic has found a small leak from the front diff...normally this wouldn't be a huge issue but we cant for the life of us find out where its coming from. The parts diagram I have attached shows where the leak originates from, none of the areas of the diff that have any kind of gasket or seal are wet, it seems to simply start out of nowhere and then run towards the diff snout, its been cleaned a couple of times and the leak comes back. If it was a crack or a break it would have demolished the diff case by now surely? Is it possible the aluminium housing has become porous? Any ideas/thoughts/experiences are appreciated
  12. Just picked up my Skyline this week. 2004 6MT Coupe. Apart from the noises I'm about to attempt to describe, it goes hard and I'm very impressed! For its age, it's aesthetics and performance are phenomenal, and the exhaust note is ridiculous, I'm not 100% if it's stock, sounds like a subaru at low speed and then opens up to a higher octave roar . Wish I had bought this before buying my Holden SV6. Noise #1. Whirring-Propeller like noise. (rear) It occurs in tandem with the speed of the car. Emitting from the rear. Faster I go the louder it "whirs", kind of like the sound of a high speed fan makes. Isn't affected by gear change, I coasted in neutral for a bit and it still whirred. After a bit of research, I've narrowed it to potentially being: The tyres, the wheel bearings, or the rear differential. Anyone else had a similar occurrence? Noise #2. Squeaking on left turn. (frontish?) When I turn left, some times right, it will squeak like I am applying the brakes (the noise that is), it'll keep squeaking when I straighten up, until I increase the speed, then it disappears. New brake pads? or something worse? Any help will be much appreciated! I will definitely be taking it to a mechanic on a day off and have everything inspected, but I'd like to go in with a bit of an idea as to the problem. Just figured there may be a simple fix to a known issue that a mechanic unfamiliar with the car may not know. Thanks again.
  13. Hello! I searched on the forum and did not find anything similar to my problem! So i drove my GTR with my friends an launched it once, after that the car was fine and i continued to drive with no problems! We stopped after 15 minutes, and my car was parked for about 30 minutes, i noticed some brown oilsplashs on my driverside and a little bit in the wheelhousing! I checked for leaks on my brakelines but nothing there! After driving it again the car was handling really strange, everytime my 4x4 kicked in my car started to pull hard left, if i was just coasting and accelerating mildly the car was going straight! Now my question is did i break my front diff or could there be anything else that causes this problem. My allignment is a bit off but that pulls me to the right so i know it has nothing to do with that! Hope someone can help me! Thank you! Kind Reagrds
  14. Hey guys, I was hunting around on here and found a an old thread in regards to this topic but it hasn't had any new info or comments so I'm trying my luck to get some more up to date info. I am in the process of building a R33 GTR, while the engines out to go a bigger sump, head drain etc. I am looking at the front diff thinking it's stupid not to do it while it's out. So down the rabbit hole i've gone, after speaking to my diff builder he has said when making over 500kw you should be looking at doing the rear. Yes I know you can just leave it stock, but I am planning to do the rear as well as the front now. My car is a street car and most it's time is seen on the street. From past threads and speaking to GTR owners it really seems like the Nismo GT Pro is a very track orientated diff. I am wanting something that is quiet but performs better than a stock diff. The Quaife is relatively maintenance and sounds like it is better suited for the street. But I am curious if anyone has a Nismo GT Pro 1.5 way in the rear of their GTR that is a mainly a street car, the guy building my diff has suggested he can wind it back and make it more tame for the street but said there will be some noise and some wheel hoping occasionally. Has anyone come across this? Has anyone run both? I would love to hear opinions and feedback if you have run either. One thing I found is the guys running the Nismo GT Pro are predominately race cars, mine's far from that. Cheers
  15. Factory manual LSD removed from a 2003 V35 350GT 6 speed with 130,000km on it. This diff is in very good condition with no noises or vibrations - removed from a running vehicle, not a crashed or thrashed one. Diff is currently at my mechanic's workshop. We removed and replaced it with another one due to suspected diff bearing noise, however the noise persisted after the swap and turned out to be a wheel bearing instead. Cheap LSD upgrade for auto V35s, with a slightly shorter ratio for better acceleration. I believe it may fit the 350Z too (can't guarantee this). There are also conversion kits available to make these fit S/R chassis vehicles (have to change tailshaft, though) as a strength/LSD upgrade. Can organise postage at buyer's expense or local pickup available from Melbourne west or south east. $350

Nismo 2-way mech diff Hey, wrote off my r33 gtst skyline in a drink driving accident a few years ago, was planning to put the diff in and go drifting its a Nismo 2-way locker, 5 stud axles, no need for it anymore. On the flipside if you give me an r33 ill happily put it in and use it Price $650 or nearest reasonable offer. postage at buyers expense. Hey guys, have a NISMO 2 way diff here in a 5-bolt housing with half shafts, it comes from a non-abs R32 but will fit S13/A31/C33's, will also fit non-abs S14/R33's and others if you change the back hat (5 minute job). Has 4.11 gearing, great condition, ready to bolt in! $850 Located near Mitcham in SA but can post anywhere.
  18. Have an r34 Torsen diff with approx 105k's on it. Took out of my car as replaced with a Cusco 1.5way to use for drifting. I have rubber mounts for the diff which still appear to be in good condition (no cracking ect.) but also have solid diff mounts (brand new) to suit any r200 diff I can sell with the diff. I am looking for $400ono for the diff including housing Looking for $60ono for the solid diff mounts Will do together for $440 ono. I am located Southside Brisbane. Could possible post but will be rather expensive the diff feels to be around 30kgs
