  1. Does anyone know if the standard GTR flywheels is supposed to have a step in it (as opposed to being completely flat)? I put a new NPC clutch in my GTR last year and the engagement point is very high (at the top of the pedal travel). I seem to remember before I got it machined it had a step in it just outside where the friction plate sits, but the shop machined it flat. I've tried to find what the standard step is in the GTR service manuals, but no luck. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Josh
  2. For sale is my EXEDY Lightweight flywheel NF01. Suits RB26 R32/R33/R34 GTR I was planning to use this flywheel on my RB26/30 but a change of direction in the build makes this flywheel not useful to me anymore. Any questions please feel free to call or sms 0448 000 257 Pictures can be sent via sms. But we all know what they look like.... Stefan.
  3. FOR SALE Used (very well used) R34 GTR clutch, flywheel and clutch line Condition: Very well used - see condition of clutch disc in pics - Came out of a 1999 VSpec, and looks like the clutch disc is original Nissan - Would be good if you were looking for a stock clutch to rebuild, or send up to Jim Berry Open to offers, but looking for something around $250 (about the difference if I didn't have a swap in a rebuild) PM or SMS on 0407778421 Cheers.
  4. After a standard R34 GTR dual mass flywheel. Specifically the ring gear, but the whole thing will do. In Sydney or QLD is ok.
  5. Hey Guys, Up for sale is my old Exedy hyper single clutch. This was used for somewhere between 18-24 months in my 34 before a friend slipped the clutch too much at an SAU event (not good with ceramic buttons) and wore it out, So out it came making way for a twin plate. The clutch disc was a ceramic button 5 puk which ended up wearing and slipping leaving some marks on the mating surfaces. The Good, Pressure plate and flywheel are in great nick (they need a skim before use, about $30-40) the mating surfaces are still relatively flat with less than 1mm of height variation. Very little wear on the pressure plate teeth The Bad, needs machining before use and a new clutch disc ($140ish). I would of done this myself before selling but I really just cant be arsed. Looks worse than it really is due to the button scratching from slip. Originally I was just going to sell the flywheel but someone might want a good power rated clutch and flywheel combo on a budget. So for under $500 you can have something that will hold 300-350kw with ease and not be a prick to drive. Item is Located in Penrith NSW, happy for anyone to come inspect before buying. Asking price is $200 which is very reasonable seeing as the flywheel is $500 new I can post anywhere in Aus but be mindful this thing weighs a fair bit, somewhere close to 10-15 kg so shipping may be pricey! Contact via PM, If you wish for more pics just ask and I can either txt them or send them via PM Pics.
  6. Sup guys unfortunately when i was cleaning my pressure plate i left my flywheel next to my old cars lock diff (which is a super heavy f**ker!) and when i came into the garage in the morning my diff had fallen onto the face of the flywheel. There are now two very small indents where the clutch plate meats with the wheel and on the surface of the wheel above where the clutch plate mates with the wheel. the indents are about 6-7 millimetres in length and about 3-4mm wide. DO i need a resurface, machine or what ever or will i need a new flywheel?
  7. Hi clutch gurus!! I was wondering if you could take a look at my clutch / flywheel / throw bearing and tell me if it requires replacing? The clutch plate looks like its still got a lot of meat left on it (I am no expert), and the flywheel seems pretty smooth although it does have some markings on it. The throw bearing its self was noisy before it removed the clutch, at one stage I couldn't even get it into gear unless the engine was off. A little back ground info also; I have only had the car around 1200 km's and I am not sure when the clutch was replaced, the previous owner did say he changed it "recently". I have done one burn out in it (fairly decent one). The next time I tried to do one it wouldn't even spin the wheels. I am not sure if the throw bearing was noisy prior to these burn outs. Is the clutch / flywheel salvageable and just change the throw bearing, or is she kaput and spend the cash now? Youtube video of the throw bearing in action

  9. Hi SA, I need to find a clutch and flywheel for my v35 immediately, My clutch started slipping a few days ago and as this is my daily driver, I need to get the car back up and running as soon as possible. If anyone is selling a clutch, flywheel or both. Please me me with the details so we can organise something. Also, If anyone could recommend some good websites they've used to buy parts from with fast shipping that aren't overly priced, it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance guys! *Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I thought it would generate a lot more interest in a v35 focused section of the forum rather than the classifieds sections that's full of other skyline model's parts*

  13. Is my Flywheel imbalanced? So I sent my Flywheel in for resurfacing as I'm doing a clutch change, and when I returned home I noticed that one of the small nubs that help line up the pressure plate had been completely machined off while the other two are still on the Flywheel. The shop I took it to refused to do anything about it as they claim that it should make no difference, however I feel as if it's probably slightly unbalanced now due to this? Can anyone confirm?

  15. Hello, So today I was driving and some guy told me to pull over and started talking about my car. He said my revs are too slow coming down after letting go of the accelerator. I think its ok but it would be cool if it went down quicker i guess just for sound but anyway.. would that be a flywheel change?
  16. Hey all, RB20DET looking at around 230ish kw. I have in my posession a normal RB flywheel and an Exedy lightened flywheel. I don't know the weight difference between them but its reasonable. What are the advantages/disadvantages to using one in my car? Seems to be lots of conflicting info on this so hopefully someone can shime in with some real world data. Thanks
  17. Hi i have a r34 gtt factory manual car. Pull clutch setup. I'm changing the clutch and want to get the fly skimmed but want the car off the road for only a few hours so I want to get a spare flywheel and skim it in prep are all rb25 flywheels the same ? Or do I need a neo specific one and is there any recommended ones I could buy off the shelf that are lightened or just leave it standard? thanks

  19. VQ25DET flywheel bolt torque? Please help Hi all been reading for last few years site is awesome resource although i'm having trouble finding a workshop manual for a m35 stagea or a v35. Attempting to convert a 4 door v35 to vq25det 2wd with 350z z33 gearbox. Have sorted the clearance issues and removed the front diff from motor and starter/ gearbox which with some fab work will work and bolt into the stock location for the vq25 and hit the manual flywheel spot on. been unable to find flywheel torque bolt specs for the vq25det which is holding up putting the clutch on and testing tailshaft length. Thanks all
