  1. hi guys, im new to the forum so this would be my first post. I am currently 17 and not too far off of getting my p's, I have a general love for my skylines especially the r34 4 door gtr. I have been set on an r32 gts-t 4 door for a while now seeing as the laws have changed to nearlly the same as queensland's here in victoria. The Vicroads website states that: "If your probationary licence was issued on or after 1 July 2007, you can drive some lower performance turbocharged or supercharged vehicles. The definition of a lower performance turbocharged or supercharged vehicle is a vehicle with six cylinders or less that is: turbocharged or supercharged with a power to weight ratio of less than 100kW per tonne turbocharged or supercharged with a power to weight ratio between 100kW and 125kW per tonne and that is considered to be a family type vehicle (four seats or more) rather than a sports type vehicle. A family type vehicle is a sedan, station wagon or hatch normally used to carry families/passengers with four or more seats and is equipped with child restraint anchorages. A family type vehicle does not include a sports car (two door coupe)." Now... i got a phone call this morning from a lady from vicroads exemptions. She basically assumed i was some dick head p plater who just wants a fully sick turbo. She was rude and was set on telling me no i could not drive a 4 door r32 gts-t. I am confused because the r32 gts-t weighs 1,300kgs and makes 158rwk. 158/1300 = 121kw/tonne which falls bellow what vicroads states is required to drive a 4 door turbo charged vehicle. She said i can apply for an exemption aslong as i have some sort of "un-due hardship" that requires me to drive this vehicle. I wanted the gts-t so that i didnt have to sell it as soon as i was off my p's, Not to mention the n/a models cost more. I am tempted to send another letter and hopefully get someone a little more polite and not as ignorent to call me back. Ive heard of people applying for exemptions for the gts-t without undue hardship and just stateing that it falls below what the vicroads website states. Have any of you guys done this? im just looking for some solid info because as much as i love the gts-t im not going to risk my license to drive it. thanks guys.

Garaged, weekend car only does 4000km per year, only 91xxxkm on the clock, great condition inside and out. 246 rwkw @ 15psi (dyno sheet available) All work performed by Chasers Motorworks in west Melbourne Modifications include: BMC high flow panel filter (in standard airbox), GCG High flow turbo, Z32 AFM, Walbro 250 l/hr fuel pump, Jecs 650cc Injectors, Apexi Power FC, HKS EVC-S, Blitz SE return flow FMIC, 54mm Alloy Radiator JJR Bellmouth Dump/front pipe, High flow Cat, Fujitsubo rear muffler (jasma spec) (sounds really good, not too loud). NPC Organic Clutch (standard feel, rated to 300 rwkw) Intima SR brake Pads (rated to 700 degrees) I have receipts for all this work which was only done July 2012. Standard parts that have been upgraded will come with car also (ECU, Injectors, AFM, intercooler, dump/front pipe) other modifications : Nismo clear side indicators, Nissan 350z 18" wheels, D1 Aluminium Wheel nuts, Alpine Double DIN CD player/radio with Ipod connectivity, front and rear strut braces, razo gearknob, Autometer boost gauge, mongoose alarm system Oil changed every 2000km (6 months) with fully synthetic quality oil. gearbox oil is synthetic and was done when clutch was installed, Brake fluid was changed with pad install and replenished with Motul RBF600. I had planned to keep this car for a long time which is why i only used quality parts and oils, i spent months looking for the best condition, low km, example i could find. I have now decided to buy a GT-R instead. i'm asking for $8000, my loss can be your gain, total bill for modifications was $8000 and i paid significantly more than that for the car only 3 years ago. I'm keen for a quick sale which is why i'm selling for this price, it does not come with a RWC and the price is not negotiable.   8. unfinished project. immediately needs clutch, water hoses, power steering hoses, wheel alignment. and im not sure about the turbo bearings, the water pipe that's collapsed is the line for the turbo, where it joins rubber to metal right behind the cylinder head where I cant get to it. custom colour respray, but its a bang up job, and the c pillar needs redoing (see pic). as does the wing, but the wings glued aswell, so I guess so does the boot. might wanna redo the mirrors too. mechanicals are all stock and old. also theres no rear window trim (see pic) THIS CAR MUST BE TOWED! (due to water hose) new tires. please note there is no magenta compliance tag on this vehicle, however it is currently registered in nsw.
  9. selling my 1992 r32 skyline, need the cash to travel and moving to a island when i get back so no real point keeping it, although it will be missed. its had a bit of work done to it nothing internal all bolt ons but still goes alright with a super clean look to it. Just finished putting in a imported engine, still rb20 but only done 110,000 on the engine itself the car has (will put up tomorrow) but haven't had anything major happen to it other than the alternator which is now a rb25. bit of damage on drivers door from a hit and run was so devastated when i found what had happened. i'll cut it sort to what mods it has and cons. rego: KKR 430 turbo turbosmart eboost2 blitz ecu chip simens injectors billet twin feed fuel rail saed fuel reg.   14. Up for sale is my 1994 R33 Gts-t Skyline. I have owned this car for around 18 months. I am selling it as i have a few cars and i want to sell a couple to use the cash towards buying a house. The car runs well overall and has had no issues. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that it has a few dints and minor blemish's which i have shown in the photos. The photos aren't as good as i would like them to be as i don't have access to a camera other than the one on my phone, so if you are interested its best to come and check it out in person. Its white in color, has a factory electric sunroof & its a 5 speed manual. As far as modifications go... During the last service, the car had the following mods/upgrades made Brand new suspension Brand new entire 3" exhaust system including dump pipe (Unsure what brand etc) New rear steering arms Brand new 17" King wheels New tyres $800 Stereo install (JVC Head unit, JVC Splits Front & Rear, 6x9's in rear, Pioneer Amplifier) New digital boost gauge Other mods include: Pod Filter Turbo timer Immobilizer Turbo has been boosted to 10psi (Have been told its a "stage 2" turbo but cant confirm what exactly it is) Aftermarket heavy duty clutch The car drives well and feels strong.   16. Hi all I have for sale my R32 GTS-T. I hadn't planned on selling it, but I'm now looking at buying a GTR. It's a 1992 R32 GTS-T, I've owned it for over 5 years since the odo said 130,000kms & its now showing 210,000kms. Been a daily driver for most of its life, still puts out around 150kw at the wheels at 13psi on standard motor, turbo & ECU. Very reliable at this power level, never had any major issues other than general wear & tear maintenance. Oil & filter changed every 5000kms religiously. I've been upgrading everything in the car ready for an RB26 conversion, & it's pretty much ready to go in right now. (got defected once before & cleared before rego was cancelled, i was running a silly BOV & pod at the time, all plumbed back now). Bad points: clear coat is peeling in a few places, behind drivers door under quarter window & on the roof just behind the front windscreen aircon needs a regas, was working fine until it ran out & i left it planning on the engine swap central locking plays up, but the car can always be locked alarm isnt making noise, but the immobilisers still work fine passenger window isn't currently working, i believe due to the alarm auto-window lift malfunctioning. if you put power on the motor inside the door the window operates fine, & the switches are working fine also.   17. Hey guys, I finally decided to put up a little info on my R33. It started life as a bog standard R33 GTST series 2 when I bought the car in 2009. I put a set of Advan RS racing wheels on it almost straight away which cost me half as much as the car itself.... For my 18th birthday my parents bought me an advanced driver training course with Fifth Gear Motoring at Wakefield Park. Apparently I wasn't too bad!!! I managed a 1:19.6 on standard wheels and 10 year old Falken something 205 tires. Everything went downhill from there....   18. Hey SAU, The time has come for me to move on from my R33 and invest in a work ute. Up for sale now is my 1996 Series 2 GTS-T (manual) Since buying this car off a member of this website who imported this car in 2004 and sold to me in 2010 I have treated it like a brand new car. It has been well taken care of and every maintanence issue has been followed out during my ownership. I was an extremely fussy buyer at the time and this was the standout r33 at the time. Currently the odometer sits at 155,944 km Previous owner has kept all documentation/reciepts of his maintanence as I have also for the following parts for proof. Rego untill feb 2013, RWC can be arranged with the buyer or sold without. As I dont think it will need much besides the usual new windscreen etc. Mods/work to this car include 100,000km service done Tinted windows Turbo timer Exedy Heavy duty clutch NGK Iridium spark plugs at around 135,000km Tein flex coilovers & 350z 17" rims Brand new alloy radiator and hoses fitted about a year ago Brand new yellow jacket coils fitted a few months ago Brand new slotted rotors for front and back along with new QFM performance brake pads also front and rear which were fitted last week Engine oil has been changed on time every 4000-6000km, using Motul 8100 (garage is full of empty bottles) and a few other highly recommended oils from the goods on oils thread. Clutch/brake fluid bled and changed Paint is in excellent condition, shines bright while clean. Has a few tiny stone chips on driver door and a small key mark on rear left panel but not very noticable. I have taken extremely good care during my time with this car, letting it warm up or driving very low rpm while cold for every drive. Always garaged and treated like a new car. I am not after swaps unless you happen to have a BT-50 in immaculate condition. Great car which has never let me down. Not after top dollar as I already have my target reached for my new car and am in need of a work ute asap.   21. The Facts; 1997 Nissan Skyline S2 GTS-t 40th Anniversary Model Manual 150,xxx kms ACT Rego until August 2013. Car located in Phillip, ACT. Price: $10k Number: 0405 332 987 Call after 6pm or text during the day please This car is in excellent condition for its year. Goes and sounds great! I purchased the car last november in NSW and I'm only selling it as I fancy a change - I don't usually even keep a car this long. It has been professionally lowered (by previous owner - passed inspection in ACT no problem). It has 18" mags as shown in the pics with 225 tyres in the front and 265 on the rear - which were brand new when I bought it last year. It also has an after market dumpvalve but, apart from that and some Nismo(fake) seatcovers, this car is completly standard. The interior is immaculate, and kept that way with the seatcovers and regularly cleaned. The body of the car has some very minor blemishes - all of which happened before I bought the car. A carpark rash on the rear driver wing and some minor marks above the exhausts are the most noteworthy, but again, very minor. I can have these fixed no problem if a deposit is given on the car. I had great plans to have them fixed but just didn't get around to it - yet. The car flew through the roadworthy, only had to change some bulbs and wiper washer bottle! Goes to show how clean and reliable this car is. I'm in absolutely no rush to sell the car so no low-ballers need apply! Also, as i don't fancy some young gun flinging the back end in to a wall, so I'll be doing the piloting on any test drive. Price is slightly negotiable for a genuine buyer. Just fancy a change so I'm also open to part/ex for something nice - no Holdens or Fords though - Euro or Jap only.   22. Okay so first off hello. I'd like to begin this Build buy giving you a little history, before this I owned a 99 Subaru Forester, which started fairly stock N/A manual. The motor blew In that so I bought a wrx sti halfcut and transplanted that, plus a whole lot more. I then Sold that an purchased myself a very rough N/A R32 RB20DE Neo Had some nice extras (Genuine Nardi, Factory Cupholders) I then got into my first car accident and destroyed it. The reason theres no "Before" shot of this beauty is because I did not have the time to take one before totalling the poor thing. But it wasn't all bad because I got a fairly generous insurance payout for it, and purchased my current vehicle. A 1992 R32 Gts-t, This originally was one of the few automatic rb25de r32's to come out but has been converted since. And so we begin the build. The day I got her (minus strut brace) - had some ugly sideskirts and wheels straight out of Need for Speed. But there were big plans ahead. First had to make a Pod box to hide the filter. Next up decided to remove the sound deadening from the backseats, and boot (as it already was missing boot interior why not go the whole 9 yards?) Next up was interior, as it was already in pretty good shape I decided to try and keep it fairly simple. Got myself a sparco steering wheel, sparco quick release, nrg short boss kit along with a sparco shifter. I also change the ugly green and white dash cluster back to the original grey with purple led's I did the aircon unit and rest of the din area while I was at it all in purple. Also picked up some gtr seats which needed some fixing for faily cheap so sewed them up and put them in, much better! Moving onto the exterior I had big plans, slowly starting to gather all of the bolt on bits and pieces I'd be adding. This included the following: n1 vents for the gtr front bar gtr grill gtr bonnet with n1 lip n1 sideskirts gtr overfenders trust rear pods dmax roof wing dmax boot wing Slowly but surely I got it all together and began trimming up the fibreglass pieces and text fitting them. Got myself some new pipes made up and got rid of the cannon, (To Be Continued)

  24. ok so last year I traded my 07 Aurion for what I think is a series 2 gts-t r33 skyline. This car knocked my freaking socks off. The previous owner spent 10k upgrading the engine and I do not know what he did. I let someone drive me home in it and the result was front end damage. no damage to the engine however. Recently it was running pretty well.. getting up there like it did when I first got it however it was what I think is called misfiring or topping out at 4.5k revs(bouncing back and forth from 4.4-4.5) Im new to the internal combustion engine. Anyway I took it to a regular mechanic which turned out to be a mistake. It took them half a week to figure out that it had an aftermarket computer and what they called a load sensor(acting as a map sensor?) this load sensor was burnt out and could supposedly have caused damage to the ecu so $1150 later im back with a standard computer and airflow meter. they also put some new plugs in of course this wasn't the end of it. the engine now cuts in and out if you apply too much throttle. almost like bunny hopping. Thoughts? Am I best taking this to a performance mechanic? Wreckers? Should I find a way to put the aftermarket computer back in or is that not possible without that same load sensor? please help
  25. Hey folks! Tyrone here; up for sale is my 'rolling shell', R33 GTST Series 1. Chassis has 13xxxxKM. The pride and joy can still be registered, and was last registered in the ACT. What's included in the sale: (Please be aware that I do not wish to part out the car at all - it will be sold as a complete package) Basically a complete car; all engine accessories such as power steering pump and alternator are in excellent working order and included. Also comes with Nismo 1 way differential. No accident history, good panels with your usual stone chip here and there. Underside of the front spoiler looks a little rough cosmetically, however structurally it is completely sound, as it is not fibreglass, but OEM spec plastic. Interior of the car is in excellent condition. Dash and doors are also in good condition. All electrics still work, however the common problem with the drivers side electric window switches was creeping up. Window glass is in fantastic condition with no cracks or stone chips, and are currently filmed with professionally installed window tint. These are a TOUCH too dark for the law, but I've honestly never had an issue with it, and I was pulled over plenty (the local constabulary is quite tough on performance cars, but they're still nice enough to talk to, even when they're giving the car a once-over). Engine will be included with the sale. Spun a bearing due to oil issues (aftermarket oil cooler leaked like a hose during a spirited drive); the block is still in good condition, so much so that it was going to be reused in the build if an RB26 couldn't be sourced (which is basically what happened). The head suffered some minor damage due to piston contact, however my builder (Peter @ Advan) has mentioned that it is quite repairable. Splitfire coil packs. Walbro fuel pump (unsure of exact specification - I believe it is the 255lph variant - if it helps, I was able to run 262rwkw very comfortably). A new oil and water pump will be required however, and are not included as 'running' gear. A spare RB25DET head will also be included. It was bought second hand from a member here as a 'drop on and drive' part, however they failed to mention that the valve seats and clearances are buggered. Whether or not someone could use the head after a bit of work, is up to them. I also have spare cam caps and other bits and pieces that will be thrown in, they might come in handy. Driveshaft and gearbox included. No issues with either of these - gearbox was great to change and still felt 'tight', however there are spring kits that can be installed to increase shifting feel even further. Exedy heavy duty clutch will be included, still plenty of meat left, had no slippage when car was running. She sits on Whiteline springs front and rear, Bilstein shocks front and rear, with Whiteline sway bars front and rear, and also Whiteline castor and camber bushes all round. Brake upgrades include DBA 4000 slotted rotors front and rear with ADR braided lines. HICAS lock bar fitted. Car comes fitted with R32 GTR rims with rubber. Spare set of R32 GTR rims will also be included, which have rubber (however most of these are not in a road worthy state of wear.) Also included is a Vulture Motorsports front facing plenum, Greddy style. Condition is 'new used', has been taken out of packaging as cardboard box was damaged during transport, but never fitted or even test fitted. All hoses, fittings, bolts, nuts, hose clamps, and zip ties required to install will be included. Comes with Vulture Motorsports 90mm throttle body. A 90mm-to-standard adaptor comes with it also. Full Complete OEM gasket kit. Purchased through Kudos Motorsports. Gates racing timing belt. Tomei intake/exhaust cam gears (non-vct) Hi-flowed injectors (about 800cc from memory) ARP Head stud kit. (suit RB20DET/RB25DET inc. Neo 6 - info taken from Kudos website) ARP Main stud kit. (suit RB25DET) Timing belt bearing kit - NSK (Nissan OEM) Front mount intercooler with all piping (not too big) Clear cam gear cover (generic brand) Might have to update and confirm with my builder, but the full exhaust should still be there to include with the car. It is 3 inches all the way, de-cat pipe through to a HKS Superdragger muffler. Custom fitted and welded by Racepace in Melbourne. Also included is the car's folder, which is full of receipts going back to 2005. Reprinted owner's manual in English in fantastic condition goes along with it. There are more than likely other things I have forgotten to mention, however I will update this listing with any other things when/if I come across them in boxes and at the workshop. So there are the goodies.. Now for the not so good points: The drivers seat bolster had wear when the car was purchased, however I never got around to fitting the bucket seats I wanted, so it was never repaired/changed. Previously mentioned front spoiler is rough on the underside. Differential clunks a bit on low speed turns/cornering/parking - I know this is a somewhat normal thing with these diffs, however some people may find it annoying. Electric aerial doesn't work - it is a problem with the actual unit, not wiring. The 'belt' that drives it failed about a week before the engine shit itself, so didn't have a need to replace it at the time. And that's about it. She has been kept in weather proof storage for the better part of 30 months, hence the genuine low KMs on the chassis. Car was used mainly on weekends and nights out, as I had a work vehicle while the Skyline was on the road. During this time it was kept garaged and washed once a week. In the flesh, it really is a great car. Even now, it still gets compliments from friends and mechanics at the workshop. Straight body and chassis rails with amazing condition panels and excellent condition paint - in a great colour too, which makes it enjoyable to look at. (Some swirls can be seen if at the right angle, however a professional detailing with 'paint correction' will sort this out for you.) The combination of the colour of the paint, with dark tints and black rims, gives it a nice presence on the road, with that awesome 'sleeper' look. Before buying Suzie, I didn't really have much love for the R33 shape. She changed all that, and now I love it. Regrettably however it is not feasible for me to keep or complete the car, so with a heavy heart I have made the choice to sell it. As it stands, I am looking for $4750. I am negotiable, but low ballers and ridiculous offers will be respectfully declined with reason. I am a genuine seller looking for a genuine buyer. Please no time wasters.
