  1. hi guys, im new to the forum so this would be my first post. I am currently 17 and not too far off of getting my p's, I have a general love for my skylines especially the r34 4 door gtr. I have been set on an r32 gts-t 4 door for a while now seeing as the laws have changed to nearlly the same as queensland's here in victoria. The Vicroads website states that: "If your probationary licence was issued on or after 1 July 2007, you can drive some lower performance turbocharged or supercharged vehicles. The definition of a lower performance turbocharged or supercharged vehicle is a vehicle with six cylinders or less that is: turbocharged or supercharged with a power to weight ratio of less than 100kW per tonne turbocharged or supercharged with a power to weight ratio between 100kW and 125kW per tonne and that is considered to be a family type vehicle (four seats or more) rather than a sports type vehicle. A family type vehicle is a sedan, station wagon or hatch normally used to carry families/passengers with four or more seats and is equipped with child restraint anchorages. A family type vehicle does not include a sports car (two door coupe)." Now... i got a phone call this morning from a lady from vicroads exemptions. She basically assumed i was some dick head p plater who just wants a fully sick turbo. She was rude and was set on telling me no i could not drive a 4 door r32 gts-t. I am confused because the r32 gts-t weighs 1,300kgs and makes 158rwk. 158/1300 = 121kw/tonne which falls bellow what vicroads states is required to drive a 4 door turbo charged vehicle. She said i can apply for an exemption aslong as i have some sort of "un-due hardship" that requires me to drive this vehicle. I wanted the gts-t so that i didnt have to sell it as soon as i was off my p's, Not to mention the n/a models cost more. I am tempted to send another letter and hopefully get someone a little more polite and not as ignorent to call me back. Ive heard of people applying for exemptions for the gts-t without undue hardship and just stateing that it falls below what the vicroads website states. Have any of you guys done this? im just looking for some solid info because as much as i love the gts-t im not going to risk my license to drive it. thanks guys.

Garaged, weekend car only does 4000km per year, only 91xxxkm on the clock, great condition inside and out. 246 rwkw @ 15psi (dyno sheet available) All work performed by Chasers Motorworks in west Melbourne Modifications include: BMC high flow panel filter (in standard airbox), GCG High flow turbo, Z32 AFM, Walbro 250 l/hr fuel pump, Jecs 650cc Injectors, Apexi Power FC, HKS EVC-S, Blitz SE return flow FMIC, 54mm Alloy Radiator JJR Bellmouth Dump/front pipe, High flow Cat, Fujitsubo rear muffler (jasma spec) (sounds really good, not too loud). NPC Organic Clutch (standard feel, rated to 300 rwkw) Intima SR brake Pads (rated to 700 degrees) I have receipts for all this work which was only done July 2012. Standard parts that have been upgraded will come with car also (ECU, Injectors, AFM, intercooler, dump/front pipe) other modifications : Nismo clear side indicators, Nissan 350z 18" wheels, D1 Aluminium Wheel nuts, Alpine Double DIN CD player/radio with Ipod connectivity, front and rear strut braces, razo gearknob, Autometer boost gauge, mongoose alarm system Oil changed every 2000km (6 months) with fully synthetic quality oil. gearbox oil is synthetic and was done when clutch was installed, Brake fluid was changed with pad install and replenished with Motul RBF600. I had planned to keep this car for a long time which is why i only used quality parts and oils, i spent months looking for the best condition, low km, example i could find. I have now decided to buy a GT-R instead. i'm asking for $8000, my loss can be your gain, total bill for modifications was $8000 and i paid significantly more than that for the car only 3 years ago. I'm keen for a quick sale which is why i'm selling for this price, it does not come with a RWC and the price is not negotiable.   3. unfinished project. immediately needs clutch, water hoses, power steering hoses, wheel alignment. and im not sure about the turbo bearings, the water pipe that's collapsed is the line for the turbo, where it joins rubber to metal right behind the cylinder head where I cant get to it. custom colour respray, but its a bang up job, and the c pillar needs redoing (see pic). as does the wing, but the wings glued aswell, so I guess so does the boot. might wanna redo the mirrors too. mechanicals are all stock and old. also theres no rear window trim (see pic) THIS CAR MUST BE TOWED! (due to water hose) new tires. please note there is no magenta compliance tag on this vehicle, however it is currently registered in nsw.
  4. selling my 1992 r32 skyline, need the cash to travel and moving to a island when i get back so no real point keeping it, although it will be missed. its had a bit of work done to it nothing internal all bolt ons but still goes alright with a super clean look to it. Just finished putting in a imported engine, still rb20 but only done 110,000 on the engine itself the car has (will put up tomorrow) but haven't had anything major happen to it other than the alternator which is now a rb25. bit of damage on drivers door from a hit and run was so devastated when i found what had happened. i'll cut it sort to what mods it has and cons. rego: KKR 430 turbo turbosmart eboost2 blitz ecu chip simens injectors billet twin feed fuel rail saed fuel reg.   7. Up for sale is my 1994 R33 Gts-t Skyline. I have owned this car for around 18 months. I am selling it as i have a few cars and i want to sell a couple to use the cash towards buying a house. The car runs well overall and has had no issues. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that it has a few dints and minor blemish's which i have shown in the photos. The photos aren't as good as i would like them to be as i don't have access to a camera other than the one on my phone, so if you are interested its best to come and check it out in person. Its white in color, has a factory electric sunroof & its a 5 speed manual. As far as modifications go...   9. Hi all I have for sale my R32 GTS-T. I hadn't planned on selling it, but I'm now looking at buying a GTR. It's a 1992 R32 GTS-T, I've owned it for over 5 years since the odo said 130,000kms & its now showing 210,000kms. Been a daily driver for most of its life, still puts out around 150kw at the wheels at 13psi on standard motor, turbo & ECU. Very reliable at this power level, never had any major issues other than general wear & tear maintenance. Oil & filter changed every 5000kms religiously. I've been upgrading everything in the car ready for an RB26 conversion, & it's pretty much ready to go in right now. Mods are as follows: R33 GTS-T front brake upgrade BRAND NEW Exedy single plate clutch rated to around 700hp rebuilt & shimmed factory LSD upgraded UAS radiator GTR front seats GTR dials put into standard GTS-T dash DVD player with separate 7" display screen splitfire coils walbro in tank fuel pump (500hp rating) rb25 pink label AFM fitted & calibrated by Unique Auto Sports turbosmart dual stage boost controller (11psi & 13psi) 17" black R34 GTT wheels (optional set of 17" antera wheels also but only has 2 good tyres on this set) 3" catback exhaust aftermarket coilovers (just over a year old) GTR bonnet with N1 lip & GTR grille (grille needs to be painted but i still have some paint left over) dual pillar mount boost gauges (1 shows pressure in bar, other in psi) Plenty of other mods I'm sure I've forgotten, car is due for its next 100,000km service so only gets driven short distances on weekends mostly. (I've been holding off to do the RB26 swap). I can look into getting this service done prior to purchase if requested. Registered until June 2013, not had issues with rego or police for the past few years. (got defected once before & cleared before rego was cancelled, i was running a silly BOV & pod at the time, all plumbed back now). Bad points: clear coat is peeling in a few places, behind drivers door under quarter window & on the roof just behind the front windscreen aircon needs a regas, was working fine until it ran out & i left it planning on the engine swap central locking plays up, but the car can always be locked alarm isnt making noise, but the immobilisers still work fine passenger window isn't currently working, i believe due to the alarm auto-window lift malfunctioning. if you put power on the motor inside the door the window operates fine, & the switches are working fine also. Located in western sydney close to minchinbury Asking $7500, NO SWAPS PLEASE, i already have WAY too many toys. OR Price with included extras $13,000.   10. Hey SAU, The time has come for me to move on from my R33 and invest in a work ute. Up for sale now is my 1996 Series 2 GTS-T (manual) Since buying this car off a member of this website who imported this car in 2004 and sold to me in 2010 I have treated it like a brand new car. It has been well taken care of and every maintanence issue has been followed out during my ownership. I was an extremely fussy buyer at the time and this was the standout r33 at the time. Currently the odometer sits at 155,944 km Previous owner has kept all documentation/reciepts of his maintanence as I have also for the following parts for proof. Rego untill feb 2013, RWC can be arranged with the buyer or sold without. As I dont think it will need much besides the usual new windscreen etc. Mods/work to this car include 100,000km service done Tinted windows Turbo timer Exedy Heavy duty clutch NGK Iridium spark plugs at around 135,000km Tein flex coilovers & 350z 17" rims Brand new alloy radiator and hoses fitted about a year ago Brand new yellow jacket coils fitted a few months ago Brand new slotted rotors for front and back along with new QFM performance brake pads also front and rear which were fitted last week Engine oil has been changed on time every 4000-6000km, using Motul 8100 (garage is full of empty bottles) and a few other highly recommended oils from the goods on oils thread. Clutch/brake fluid bled and changed Paint is in excellent condition, shines bright while clean. Has a few tiny stone chips on driver door and a small key mark on rear left panel but not very noticable. I have taken extremely good care during my time with this car, letting it warm up or driving very low rpm while cold for every drive. Always garaged and treated like a new car. I am not after swaps unless you happen to have a BT-50 in immaculate condition. Great car which has never let me down. Not after top dollar as I already have my target reached for my new car and am in need of a work ute asap.   11. So last Fathers Day i had my previous skyline stolen from my front yard. Since then i tried my hardest to get over these cars but jap is where my heart is lol. And so i bought this bad boy! Looking to upgrade eventually so its time to sell For Sale is my 98 40th Anniversary R33 GTS-T Silver - Turbo 5 Spd Manual - Heavy Duty Clutch - Tanabe exhaust 3 1/2- 4" i think (Loud but sounds f*kn amazing!!) - HKS DD Pod Filter - Blitz Turbo Timer - Turbosmart Boost Tap (i Dont know if the car is boosted or not ive never checked it out or anything and there is a boost gauge but it reads Bar not Psi so again no idea??) - Viper Alarm System with Immobiliser - R34 Wheels - Genuine Nissan GTR Wing - Tyres are good Front ones are Brand New - Tinted Windows - Pioneer Stereo with Bluetooth handsfree and Iphone Connectivity - Jl Audio 12" Sub, JBL 6" rear speakers - Just done the Oil and Oil Filters - Air Con and Heating works Perfect - Just under 120000km on the clock Overall this car is in Good Condition with a couple tiny scuffs and 2 small shopping trolley dings from careless assholes.   12. The Facts; 1997 Nissan Skyline S2 GTS-t 40th Anniversary Model Manual 150,xxx kms ACT Rego until August 2013. Car located in Phillip, ACT. Price: $10k Number: 0405 332 987 Call after 6pm or text during the day please This car is in excellent condition for its year. Goes and sounds great! I purchased the car last november in NSW and I'm only selling it as I fancy a change - I don't usually even keep a car this long. It has been professionally lowered (by previous owner - passed inspection in ACT no problem). It has 18" mags as shown in the pics with 225 tyres in the front and 265 on the rear - which were brand new when I bought it last year. It also has an after market dumpvalve but, apart from that and some Nismo(fake) seatcovers, this car is completly standard. The interior is immaculate, and kept that way with the seatcovers and regularly cleaned. The body of the car has some very minor blemishes - all of which happened before I bought the car. A carpark rash on the rear driver wing and some minor marks above the exhausts are the most noteworthy, but again, very minor. I can have these fixed no problem if a deposit is given on the car. I had great plans to have them fixed but just didn't get around to it - yet. The car flew through the roadworthy, only had to change some bulbs and wiper washer bottle! Goes to show how clean and reliable this car is. I'm in absolutely no rush to sell the car so no low-ballers need apply! Also, as i don't fancy some young gun flinging the back end in to a wall, so I'll be doing the piloting on any test drive. Price is slightly negotiable for a genuine buyer. Just fancy a change so I'm also open to part/ex for something nice - no Holdens or Fords though - Euro or Jap only.   13. Up for sale is my black '93 R33 Gts-T RB25Det I have owned this car for the last 7 years - purchased on these forums. It has been very reliable and well taken care of, serviced every 6 months and has always been garaged overnight. A lot of highway kms as used to live in outer east. Only fairly basic modifications and have receipts for all work/services done since 2007. Comes with a full year of rego (until December 2015).   15. I bought this car way back in April 2003, it had only 34000kms on the clock. For the last 11 years its has been my pride and joy, well looked after, always garaged, oil change promptly every 5000kms with only Penrite products, currently running 15w-50 full synthetic engine oil. Has only ever been run on 98 octane fuel with NGK plugs, currently BKR6E-11 gapped 0.8mm. At 100000kms it had its appropriate service with Gates timing belt fitted. Never had any problems with the vehicle, has always run great! Apart from aftermarket modifications, the suspension bushes have been replaced, new steering arms and tie rod ends, new starter motor, new genuine nissan radiator fitted in the last 18 months. Dynotuned 14 months ago at Federation motors in Cairns and makes over 400hp at the wheels comfortably at 18psi of boost, 98 octane fuel. This car has been great to drive, never been in any accidents, holds many memories, will be sad to see it go. I believe my car represents great value at $10,000.   24. 1996 R33 GTS-T Series 2 Silver When the car battery goes flat a few times over a few years, you have to replace the battery etc. due to lack of use you know the time has come to bite the bullet and let the girl go. I have owned this car for near on 10 years, imported into Aus and single owner of it here. It has had a very quiet life living on an acreage for 2 years then in a basement for the next 7 odd, never raced, rarely even driven with gusto. Been the most reliable car i've ever had. For 90% of the time i have owned it was only used on weekends as not long after i got it i moved close to work and train line so its had a boring life ever since. First things first let me be explicitly clear. I think it has a buggered head gasket (oil/similar in radiator overflow). Noticed it just before christmas after having gotten a new radiator and other stuff in November. Only drove it half a dozen times before realizing and only driven it briefly to charge battery once a week the past few weeks. Car still drives perfectly fine otherwise, it came as a shock. Anyway. Other than the radiator oil/whatever in overflow i cannot find any other symptoms, no smoke or loss of coolant etc. But something is a miss. She that shall go without name has reiterated many times the car is wasted on me these days and i must finally admit she is right. I rarely use it, i don't need it, it deserves a more active home (and i suppose "she" then gets to use the car space..). So with that said i have a firm asking price of $6,500 which is think is very good value especially if you're mechanically inclined to fix whatever the issue is above. The car would be a great daily, weekender toy, or track car. The car has a few what i consider minor dings and marks that come with age, and a scratch and crack on the front spoiler lip, thought all could be fixed and touched up quite easily. All fluids including clutch, brakes and diff have been replaced in the last 5,000km. The car has been tuned by Chequered Tuning and currently makes 260rwkw on pump 98, or about 300kw at the flywheel. Very responsive and will chop most things on the road. Downsides are: •Front bar has some scratches on the bottom. •RH rear quarter has a scratch in the clear coat. Apart from the above the paint is excellent. The buyer of this car will receive a full folder of receipts totalling over $20,000 as well as dyno sheets for the tune and original Japanese auction papers. You will not find a cleaner, more genuine Skyline anywhere else. Registration is included but RWC will be left up to the buyer.
