Hey guys ill do a write up as I go as there seems to be no info on how to drop the motor etc........ my problem is I have broken the crossover pipe from the drivers side exhaust header that leads to the turbo. I will write up a DIY guide as I go and take some photo's etc.

Hi all Im having some trouble with my wiring for my rb25, its a series 1. I have power to the entire car harness, im just having trouble with the starter wire and a few other things. Has anyone done this engine into their stagea? Any help is appreciated

Hi Guys, I joined the forum few days back, reading and hoping to find a answer to my Delmer. I currently am doing a full resto on a 69 dodge phoenix now for over a year and i am needing a break on it, so i decided to buy a cheap skyline and go from there. Too cut a long story short, I bought a immaculate rolling shell R33 GTS4 and all that it requires is motor, box n ecu, thinking how hard is it to slip an engine n box...........well After trying to find anything that could help me out, i got totally confuddelled ...but from what I have read I have one of the less desirable skylines. All I would like to do is get the car back running in original set up and everything to work as it was before removal of old motor n box. Now do i need to find a replacement from another R33 GTS4 or Can i source a RB25DE form another car? what about ecu? do i use the one from replacement motor or find one from a GTS4? I need a gearbox, can i use one out of a GTS T or from any other model. I know some of my questions might be stupid to some but i do apologize, so if anyone can throw me a link, phone number or any advice it would be most appreciated.

Came out of my old 32 gtst. had a knocking while driving and it was suspected to have blown the top off a piston as when i got the car it was running 14 psi boost. was gonna pull it apart and rebuild for a track car but i just dont have the time (or car) for it anymore. so i'm getting rid of it to someone who could. Still has the inlet manifold with it. need this gone asap as i will be moving house in 2 weeks. if it doesnt sell its going to scrap am open to swaps too of anything to the same value. Thanks!

Hey all So my driver window motor has given up, i had some issues with it previously and got it repaired although the auto electrician said it will eventually give way again and so it has The pictures below are the motor found in my car, 2001 r34 25gt sedan and im not too sure if it matters from different series. Im willing to pickup the item or if anyone knows where i could go purchase one.

Hey guys, So i have an intermittent issue with my RB26 where the starter motor sounds like it is free spinning and scraping on the fly wheel (maybe?) it is a very distinct loud screeching sound. it only happens maybe once in every 8 starts. But im curious to know if anyone has installed and aftermarket starter or should i oull it out and give it a clean? Cheers

Hey not sure if this is a topic but I desperately need help. Ill try to keep it short but basically have a '94 R33 coupe series 1 with a sunroof only had her for a few months, bought from a lebanese guy....this is both me nd my partners dream car...so we cleaned her up, black bonnet, sound system etc. he did not look after her at all. We had a good run then problem after problem started. PROBLEM # 1. Rocket cover leaking - fixed it 2. Hicas light only comes on once the car has been started then turned off for a short period of time. If let for roughly an hour it stays off (still not fixed) 3. Clutch started to squeak nd a tiny plastic bit just fell to the floor inside the car one day (still squeaking but clutch works perfect althought a bit sticky) 4. Driving nicely nd heard this noise like say a dragon flys wings right near ur ear. Tow trucked it home, pulled it all apart harmonica balancer is a bit thrashed out nd the 2 keys that hold it it place nd the crank pulley pretty much weren't there. Aparentl a ceased aircon system can cause it? Replaced those, put her all back together (first didn't even want to start timing woz out, lined all the notches up nd she started) now took her for a run bit sluggish but she still drove, boost leak? Fixed all of them (who ever came up with the 6piece intercooler pipe system should be shot!) cool she ran better nd better with every tweak. Got home turned her off nd there woz with weird bubbling noise coming from the back of the motor my partner thought it woz bottom end but we never bled the radiator system so I thought mayb airbubles. But the tapping/knocking noise is still their i figured it woz the harmonica balancer against the timing case since it looks a bit wonky wen she idles but as the revs pick up the straightens out, it's not a whole heap but just enough for u to notice. Good old YouTube nd partner reckons the noise is definitely death knock. I'm hoping its no or ill cry problem after problem can anyone shed some light coz I'm lost nd I really do not want to get rid of her or spend 3-4k on a rebuild! :'(

Hi everyone, I just bought a Nissan Skyline R34 GT that has a Rb25de NA motor which they turbo it with an ebay turbo. So the previous guy blew the block due to high compression and I bought it from him. I recently took the motor out and swapped a Rb25det Neo. I had to rewire all the harness to fit because of the previous NA motor which it doesnt have the same connectors as the neo. Now the I dont have a oil temp wire to connect. I was wondering if anyone had an extra oil temp wire and oil pressure sensor. I want to know if anyone has done a swap from a N/A into a Neo turbo. Please tell me about your experience and how you made it work. Thanks!

Well this is my first post here, and decided to sign up after lurking for a little while and reading some useful posts, I bought my dream car a few months ago and it's a beauty, 1999 Skyline GT-T manual =) But I have a problem or two that I would like advice on if possible. - On start up - the car screeches quite loudly, and then stops after about 1-2 seconds and you never hear it again until starting up again (it seems like the warmer the car is, the less screeching is heard) - I had it serviced last week and they stated it was the starter motor as they checked the belts/tightened etc. I'm attempting to find a starter motor for my car but am having trouble, is there any specific place to look or is there another possible reason for the screeching? - Second issue I have is, the turbo has quite a noticeable whine when it spools - At first I thought it was maybe a hose leak but once again Autotune stated they checked and tightened the hoses (but I am not all that convinced). I tried reading on the whole "whining" noise of a turbo, and some people state it's normal and some state they are worried - I feel like I get good boost so not sure what's causing it. Thanks for the input in advance. Oh and one other note - where would be a relatively cheap place to get serviced in VIC (melb - northern suburbs). Ps. Attached pic since I am new here =)

Does anyone know the part number for the drivers window motor as desperately need to order a replacement. Also any recommendations on what is a good replacement? Built 2.6L There are a few thread around regarding built engines. Most threads i found are a few years old. Are people making decent power on built 2.6s or is everyone just going 3L now? i would prefer to stay 2.6, my thought process is build a 2.6 with great parts instead of an average 3L. also the 2.6 is an easier in out job as opposed to 3L. whats the verdict? what is everyone doing these days?

FS [SYD]: RB25DET Stock Bottom End, Head (or complete but dissembled) - the lot $400 Hai, So most of you active SAU people might know, my Edward Lee's (Special Edition) Low KM motor finally exploded - which took out my turbo too. I had this big plan to rebuild it, make it a weapon but a few things in life got in the way so that's not going to happen anymore. Instead I am going to put another used motor in and call it a day. Engine can come complete, although dissembled or parted as per the prices below. Water pump, timing kit are all under 3 years old and less than 20 000km (so can be easily reused for a cheap rebuild). Also has ARP non-2000 studs. Cylinders 1 & 6 are cooked.. bores slightly scratched and head has some shrapnel marks. --------------------------- $400 motor minus hotside, coldside, flywheel, coil packs, all ancillaries not included OR $200 head, cams, cam caps, cas, VCT, covers, valves. pretty much complete, no head studs $200 bottom end, water pump, crank, timing belt, idler/tensioner, knock sensors, sump, blah blah., no water outlet $100 full set of ARP non-2000 head stud/nuts/washers - torqued once only --------------------------- Location: Canley Vale, NSW 2166 Contact: Here or PM Hope someone buys it, gives me some money to invest in a new used, non Edward Lee' SE motor lol

i have for a sale a complete R34 GTR engine/motor. comes complete with all intake side, injectors, plenum, all exhaust side, turbos etc. starter motor, altinator, everything! Only reason i have taken the motor out is because i bought and built a new motor, head, modified everything, and didn't want my car off the road for months. so i done all the work to another motor then just switched them over. HISTORY: motor came out of the car with 92000kms on the clock. is factory except for HKS cam gears. has been running 15psi by previous owner and me. no service history, and i have not done the major service either, as i planned to heavily modify. ran fine in the car, pulled hard. and is unopened. Wreckers ask 7 grand for a complete r34 motor, (the rare occasion when they pop up for sale). (can confirm its a 34 motor from the engine number) so $4400 is reasonable. PRICE is negotiable, and i have other GTR parts you may want, and we can negotiate in the price. R33 gtr sump,r33 gtr complete wiring loom and igniter etc Im not interested in posting, as i would like the buyer to inspect in person first before making purchase. r32 gtr long motor with rebuilt stock bottom end, also has N1 oil pump and water pump. This engine was in a 300zx (drag car) I had for a few months that made 520rwkw. The head was sold so I put a spare stock 26 head I had lying around on it. The head was decked/pressure tested and a new head gasket and new ARP head studs were installed. Compression was perfect as it was reabuilt recently prior to the head swap. Pick up Valley Heights Sydney or can ship. $2,500 Pete
