G'day guys, me again with the non running vq25det stagea, starting to nail down on components trying to diagnose my issue and noticed something while removing and cleaning my crank sensor i noticed metal fragments on the magnetic part of the sensor, so i cleaned then off, refitted the sensor and tried to give it a strart, and i noticed for the first time in a while it fired and tried to start on the first try, but on the second and third there was no fire, so i took out the sensor again, cleaned it again and same thing, fired first try, still no start, but on second and thirrd try its again not firing so my question is, could my sensor be faulty? what else could be causing this?

Hello from Canada! i just recently picked up my first Nissan a 1997 Nissan Stagea with an automatic, RB25de Neo and an r34 Gtr front end, I'm totally in love with it but I parked it the other night and it was running great, went to start it in the morning and it was running rough. I assumed it was a coil pack that died (my Soarer did the same thing last year) so I parked it, and went to the local importer to buy a coil pack. came home went to start the car to pull it into the garage... And nothing. Just cranks but won't fire. Pulled the intake apart to get at the plugs, pulled the plugs out and they were wet, I installed new plugs and still the same problem. Pulled everything back apart and pulled the coils out one by one to check for spark. I turned the CAS by hand to check spark. I have spark on all coils except for cyl 3 ( because of the dead pack) I'm also hearing the injectors clicking so I have pulse also the plugs were wet so fuel is getting to the cylinders. I thought it could be that one coil pack but after searching forums and speaking to RB specialists in town that was ruled out. ive also tried changing the CAS, and I read somewhere that try unplugging the AFM, so I unplugged it and still nothing. I'm at a loss. I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this issue! Thank you in advance for reading! (Sorry for the novel)
  4. Short story long: Went out to fuel up the night before I was due to go to Phillip Island, Labour Day weekend. Car wouldn't start at servo, discovered missing top starter motor bolt and almost missing lower starter motor bolt . Managed to get lower bolt back in, starter worked. Drove to PI, drove home, everything fine. A week later, I removed the lower bolt so I could be sure I got the correct size replacement, got 2 new bolts for starter motor, fitted them (after basically removing everything from the engine bay ). Went to start the car (on a jump), just spins over - absolutely no sign of wanting to fire. I have spark. Pretty sure I have fuel (not confident of fuel pressure though). Don't know about compression (although don't know why it would suddenly disappear). Replaced fuel filter. Pretty sure I haven't disturbed any of the air hoses under the manifold (but how do you tell on these MFs). Any help / guidance appreciated. Engine is RB25DET, running off a Wolf 3D4+ ECU. Has basically been running fine since installed - this is the first real problem of this nature.
  5. Skyline R33 series 1 Hey guys So i have a series 1 R33 GTST. It had a blown motor in it so brought a series two long motor and used my series 1 turbo and intake. using series 1 wiring lume. i got it all fitted up on the weekend and guess what. no start. she cranks over fast but doesnt fire. so ive checked fuel. fuel is flowing freely and theres a bit of pressure behind it just after the fuel filter going into the rail. checked spark and i have spark at the spark plugs. checked injection pulse with a noide light and i have injection pulse. im kinda stuck at this point and not to sure what to attack next. im going to test fuel pressure tomorrow night just to make sure the pressure is right. i have tested it with 2 cas and no change. its just not making sense. i have fuel, i have spark, i have injection pulse. why wont she fire. any advice would be amazing. thanks guys
  6. R33 GTST no start A friend of mine has a R33 GTST SERIES 2 with a Haltech platinum pro ecu. The back story and whats been done. The car doesnt get driven much so often had to be jump started as the battery was flat. One day they went to jump start it and no go. The motor cranked but didnt fire. After some testing we found there was no spark, signal to fuel injectors or fuel pump. The ecu was sent back to haltech for testing. They upgraded the power supply and a few other things but found bo problems. When we got the ecu back we plugged it in and hoped for the best but still no go. It has an aftermarket immobilizer which im thinking is probably the next thing to look at unless anyone has some other suggestions Thanks
